I'm really not sure where this week went at all...it seemed it was gone in the blink of an eye.
I'll start with last Sunday, Easter. As I wrote earlier in the week, I chose not to track my food last Sunday for a few reasons. The first--that I had ZERO control over what was being prepared. Second--I was no where near a computer all day and trying to remember, well, I'm not so great at that. Third--I had the knowledge to make good choices, and I did. I had very controlled portions, I skipped the obviously not-good-for-me stuff, and focused on fruits and vegetables. It was a successful day for me because I was IN CONTROL and I knew I made good choices.
Wednesday was a very good day. I was forced to buy some clothes that fit me properly for something I had going on on Thursday. I went to the store and grabbed some jeans only to discover they were too big. I was giddy when I was able to pull the size 11's up over my hips and they zipped comfortably. I NEVER thought this day would come. WOO HOO!
Thursday brought a day of travel for my family and I. We brought snacks with us (pre-portioned for all of us!) and were able to stay in control! It was a powerful feeling to know that the FOOD wasn't anything for me to worry about. At lunch we went to a place called Sally's...one of my favorites from the days that our son was in the hospital, and one of my "triggers" for emotional eating. This place has THE BEST (read fattiest) burgers, waffle fries and seasoned sour cream. I had a moment of panic when we sat down and looked at the menu, but I started looking for healthier options. I decided on the garden veggie burger with fresh veggies and light ranch dressing on the side. GO ME!
Exercise went well this week, too. I did 3 runs (3 miles, 2 miles, and 4 miles), I did 45 minutes of circuit training TWICE, plus I got a good long walk in, too.
Not sure what the scale will show tomorrow morning since it's that TOM and this is typically not a good week for me, but I know that I've done the best that I can and what will be will be.
