As you might already know from my last blog, my New Year's Resolution this year is to run a full marathon. I took that first step by registering from Grandma's Marathon on June 16th in Duluth, MN. I have butterflies just thinking about it!
In addition to the marathon goal, I decided that for 2012 I'm going to attempt to log 1,000 miles this year. It's a lofty goal for me, but I've been reassured by many other runners here on SP. In order to achieve this goal, I need to average 19.2 miles per week. Obviously I'll be ramping this up as the marathon gets closer, but HOPEFULLY I'll knock this one out of the park!
I'm also going to attempt P90X. My husband ordered P90X2 recently, and I'm going to do the "fit test" today to see where I stand. I am a little worried since I can't do a pull up, but I know there are modifications for a lot of the exercises using bands. This brings me to my next 2012 goal--to be able to complete a pull up.
