While an Ironman is definitely in the works for me sometime in the future, post triathlon on Sunday, I am going to bask in the glow of checking off a SPRINT triathlon done, next will be an Olympic and Half Iron depending on some life circumstance both should occur in 2012, also a Marathon and some of my usual half marathons will get done in 2012, I'm not gonna lie I missed the he!! that marathon training was.
The most important thing I am going to do following this race and throughout the winter is not lose my training, last winter I got a bit lazy (okay understatement) I worked out but what barely constituted working out and I didn't eat properly like I did when I was training, so I am going to focus on pure fitness all winter (notice I don't say weight loss- too much stress in trying to lose weight). I am also taking up cross country skiing this winter which will hopefully bring my cardio to new levels completely.
First things first complete the tri and then get my butt back to work on Monday, I got a lot of fitness to start improving.
