Tomorrow I start a 50 day challenge for my own benefit. It is a challenge to make myself just a bit better, eat just a bit healthier, get a few more minutes of exercise in each day, find just a tiny bit more consistency, log EVERYTHING, and hopefully see the results in the mirror, in the clothing size, and on the scale. I will post before pics and stats and then of course after stats in 50 days. I will blog progress, while I would like to say daily, I know that won't happen cause there are many days I am not at a computer (because I am outside getting fit in any fun way there is!). I am still ironing out things I will track and specifics but they will be finalized by midnight tonight (I am work what else have I to do ).
Other interesting note I can still reach my spark minute goals but I have to be very very consisitent the rest of the year!

I get off work Friday at 6 am to start my weekend, I will be knocking out my workout first thing in the morning a run and some ST. Then it is time to get ready to canoe/kayak and camp. An overnight river trip is planned 24 miles on the river total and probably a bike ride to retrieve the vehicle. It will be mostly healthy eats although a few beers might be consumed but mostly water.

On Thursday the boyfriend and I went kayaking. We dropped off a bicycle at our take out point and we went and put in 14.7 miles away. We enjoyed a paddle 14 miles down the river, mostly paddling some floating, enjoyed a couple beers. Once we got to the take out point my sweetie got to enjoy some fishing while I rode the 14.7 miles back to get the truck. It is so cool that I saved us having to use 2 vehicles (note, we switch off who retrieves the vehicle), I got in a nice training ride, got to enjoy a beautiful rainbow, and of course also got the benefit of healthy fun of paddling the kayaks. The whole time I was riding I was thinking how different my life has been the past couple years. I'm active, I use alternative transportation (biking,walking, running) and I am also quite lucky to have a guy that encourages and supports me and occassionally tells me to get my butt out the door and run like I said I would. I am also starting to see myself in a better light in general, while I do weigh myself once a week, I don't get overly upset if the scale hasn't moved, because I know I am active and eating right, I look in the mirror, or see parts of my body and I think man my legs are getting really toned. Every once in awhile I slip into the negative but very rarely. I also think in terms of what I am going to do, what I am going to attempt to do, rather than what I can't do or what seems too hard. With this outlook those 50lbs that I want to see go bye-bye well they just don't stand a chance!!
