I kept rather busy the past 3 days (see previous blog) it has been active and fun. I have been doing some hiking, fishing, planting some more veggies, and watering existing veggies. I have also been doing the usual stuff such as running. Still trying to decide on the marathon thing, I am kind of leaning toward just straight focusing on weight loss and then spending next year training for a marathon or triathlon (and yes the triathlon has yet to have a check mark next to it on the bucket list) Less than a month to go and I will be paddling down the Green River in Utah for 7 days, super excited for that, also wanting to be in a little more swimsuit ready shape, thinking I really need to hit Insanity or P90x these shape my body much better than just running.

My sweetie is going to be back in Utah for a whole 9 days (sad faces all around). So my goal the next 9 days is to be ridiculously busy so that I will hardly notice he is gone, I am also hoping I can jumpstart some weight loss in this time...I am so ready for him to get a job here so we don't have to do the long distance thing for even a week, because while absence makes the heart grow fonder, it still sucks! Time to start loosely training for a marathon, I say loosely because I'm still not 100 percent sure I want to do one this year or not, so I figure I will train for a month and if all is going well then I will sign up and really get to work. 25 weeks until the Monumental Marathon in Indianapolis, I really do need a sanity check!! The good news for the week is on Friday Mike and I officially started using the L word, that is very cool!

Nothing shows weight like film. Yikes looking at my Indy mini pics, time to rock some insanity or p90x again, in addition to running. The one good pic of me is not so good, the belly looks not so flattering!

to do it all over again, to train in the heat and humidity, to sacrifice hours on the weekends, to endure blisters, chafing, abused toenails. Has my sanity really gone south on me that I am crazy enough to train for another marathon, damn methinks it has because the marathon bug is really nagging at me from inside my head.

Indianapolis puts on a great show. This really is the biggest half marathon in the country and I can see why it is entertaining! This is the 2nd year I ran it and I now have an official 13.1 PR, (I ran a race last year that was 12.36 miles shortened due to flooding, I'm guessing I would have PR'd there but hard to tell) So now I have a new PR of 2:59:39 I made my goal of finishing under 3 hours, I wasn't as trained this year as I would have liked to have been. And the sight of me sprinting through the finish line to beat the 3 hour mark must have been hilarious, but that just goes to show running is for the person doing the race and not for anyone else, although I did beat my sister ha ha ha!!! My boyfriend ran the race this year too, although speed racer was in the A corral, not P like me! He finished in 1:17:09 and 85th out of 35000 people, wow! That being said I think he was more proud of me than his own accomplishment, it's nice to know that he just enjoys the fact that I run and isn't concerned that I am fast .

This race definitely got me motivated about running again! Of course after a 26.2, it seemed a lot easier to make myself go 13.1 this year!
