Turbo fire

Sunday, September 12, 2010

I like it so far and the best thing is it comes with a really sweet tracker. Its more coreography based than I am used to so I look quite silly thank goodness I workout at home. Run in the morning and if I have anything left I am going to do either Insanity or Turbofire, just enjoy having it kicked up a notch. Don't know if it is my allergies being really bad or what but its time for bed cause I am feeling a little scratchy and stuffy yuck!

I am pretty much the most uncoordinated person in the world, so I'm interested to see how fast you pick up on the choreography in Turbo Fire! I hope you're feeling better today. Take care! :D

30 day push for 20

Wednesday, September 08, 2010

I am trying to lose a little excess weight before the marathon attempting to do so without burning myself out, I would like to see 20 lbs take a hike by the 8th of October but know this is a pretty high goal. I'm gonna shoot for 20 and be happy at 10 and if nothing goes knkow that at least the extra fitness won't hurt! I am using Insanity and P90x along with the running and I am gonna add in some Turbo fire when it shows up. For those who have been reading my blog you already know this is the plan. I got started 2 days later than I wanted to thanks to a little bout with a cold. I took day one pics today and we will see if by day 30 there is any less jiggle going on!

Dont push yourself too hard. Big goals are fine as long as they dont lead to burnout! Be kind to yourself too - that is important dont forget. I admire your committment to the marathon. Go you.

It's an ambitious goal, but you have to shoot for the stars sometimes! Good luck!! Just don't get injured!!

Makeover

Monday, September 06, 2010

Not so much in the traditional sense of working on my looks but it is time for me to get a nice little makeover. This might include a haircut, but mostly it is about getting emotionally healthy again. Exercise will be part of it and maybe a wardrobe. But I am going to be overhauling my biggest demon and working on the positive attitude, self talk, self image etc. I also need to get out of my bad relationship rut, which is date someone who treats me like crap and when it ends avoid relationships for like 5 years. It has been almost a year since my break up time to take a look at the dating scene and be serious about it. This is quite a project list of things to do!

You can do it! Good for you realizing that you need to be kinder to yourself. Its hard finding the right mix of discipline and self love we need sometimes! Have an awesome week! B

Good for you!! You are AMAZING and deserve only the best. Remember that! If you need some 'boosts' remember the Operation Beautiful website/book. They've both helped me when I can't think of good things to say to myself or about myself.

Wish you all the best on your 'makeover'!!

Say goodbye to 50lbs

Friday, September 03, 2010

I have fought off 60 and kept them at bay now it is time to get rid of those last 50lbs...This is the plan.

*stay the course for now focus on nutrition and adding in other workouts besides running (this continues until after the marathon-don't want to overtrain)
*Start back up with a rotation of BEACHBODY videos to include P90X, INSANITY, and TURBOFIRE.
*Continue with running at least 3-4 days a week enough to maintain the running muscles but not burnout!
*Go to the Eat Clean diet find a new variety of healthy recipes and get out of the runner diet rut until running season kicks up again! (I don't seem to digest most non freggie carbohydrates correctly??)

Time to hit the ground running...

Friday, September 03, 2010

It is September, October 10th is almost here, time to get moving and get losing some weight. I would like to lose a few more pounds before the marathon I need to up my non running workouts. Any poundage gone by marathon day, is going to be a relief to my joints over 26 miles. So here goes nothing time to be stronger with my healthy food choices and my commitment to exercise (beyond the running).

I've read that every pound of weight loss equals 4 pounds of pressure off of our knees. Every little bit helps, and I notice the difference the most when I go for long jogs.

You're doing great! :D
