Doing the Half Marathon May 8th afterall!

Basically that is what I wanted to say! Still going to stick to my reboot although shakeology cleanse is going to have to wait until after the race because I will need different fuel for the race. One true test of my improved attitude on stress will come in the morning. Have to deal with a stressful person however I have a plan on how I will deal and I have an after action plan so I will not eat my weight in food because of the stress! I am going to view them as non stressful I will use my mind to continue to believe they are non stressful to me and while I know today I will probably not succeed in totally believing it I know that I will get there. I will also remember that I have a week of vacation coming up for my impending trip and race! My after action plan for this morning is to head home change into my running gear and head out the door!

    AWESOME!!! U figured out how to run the half!! It wil be an experience!! Maybe one day, I'll work my way up to a half...a 5k can still kick my bootie right now...lol. U will do great!!

Just keep ur cool today...remember, u control ur own reactions! Do Not let others control u. U got this! That one is soooo hard to do in the moment, I KNO, but if u dont, u will be soooo mad at urself later!!

Like a computer I am getting a reboot. I need to get all the crap in my life cleaned up and then restart. Today is the restart.
Doing a diet reboot, doing shakeology cleanse in an effort to get myself back on to my good eating habits (while they haven't been horrible there is much room for improvement)
Doing an exercise reboot going to look at my workout schedule, revamp ad get moving!
Doing an emotional reboot, working on making life less stressful and dropping stressful things from my life! Also getting back to looking in the mirror in a positive manner.
Its all about getting the focus back and taking control of the things I can control, while I can't stop stress and bad weather I can change my attitude and the way I deal with all of it.

Looks like I will not be able to get into that race since they don't do transfers of numbers after April 7th still trying to figure out a way to do it but it is looking like a no go! Oh well still going to be there to cheer on my sister. Need more water today been drinking it much too slowly. This super windy day has me ticked off too wanted to do a 9 mile run today but I am not going to do so in 40mph winds that is insane so I am going to go for a short 2 mile run trying to wait the wind out a little bit but I gotta run before midnight. Grr mother nature is getting on my nerves! Just want the weather we were having back that wasn't super windy and was warm and pleasant

Fit Day and New Spark Team Turtles Unite

After work this morning did Insanity Plyo Cardio Circuit. Slept, woke up hydrated and had a small breakfast (1pm) and then set out for a 4.25mile jog decent pace enjoyed the day took it nice and easy for my recovery from my 5K. And for all you turtles and turtle loving fans Turtles Unite a new spark team for us slow runners who know slow and steady wins the race because slow and steady finishes the race and that is a win in my book, also while optional turtle tattoos are in the works!

Nutritional Pain in the...

As with all the workout programs I have been doing I am running into the same issue that I have run into before finding the balance between eating the right amount of calories to lose weight and the right amount to still maintain performance. Grr...Why can't this be simple like gaining weight is for me(I know we would all be the perfect size if it were). So I am back to the drawing board with this crap again because the amount I need to run vs. the amount I needed in p90x and insanity don't coincide because I wanna eat more and more after a run...I will get it figured out but for now working on it, working on it and in the meantime I am sitting at a major pain of a plateau!!

    I so hear you. I'm eating more training for my Half Marathon than I did when I was P90Xing it up. I hear over and over that people gain weight when training for distance events, which makes me feel a * bit * better, but it's still frustrating! My "I'm full now, so stop eating" signal seems to go away after a long run; sigh!

Are you still thinking of starting a Turtles Unite running group? Let me know so I can join! ;D

    What I did was, I took 3 days and wrote down everything I ate. I didn't add up calories, or anything. At the end of the three days, I figured up all of the calories and added them up. Amazingly, they were very close to each other. I took the smallest amount, and subtracted 500 per day. For the week, that's 3500 calories which make a pound.
Figure, you work out, and sometimes it's not easy figuring out how many calories you burn while working out, you can probably count on at least 250 calories or more. Thats at least another half pound per week which is the healthiest way to lose.
Losing around 2 pounds a week doesn't seem like much at all. And some folks get frustrated and quit trying when that's all they lose. But, if someone lost 2 pounds a week for a year...2 pounds x 52 weeks = 104 pounds. Is that impressive or not?
