Insanity Day 25 and 26 first official training run!

Day 25 was cardio recovery always a nice little break from the pounding of the daily routine. Day 26 Pure cardio and cardio abs love it even the points where I feel like I can't go on I somehow dig deep and find the energy to get through it. Also had my first official training run and while I had been running it feels nice to be on an official program with the specific goal of certain races.

Insanity Day 24 and the battle with the mirror

Plyometric Cardio Circuit well yesterday I am getting to my blog late tonight. I am winning my fitness battle I am doing and improving everyday but there are days when the battle with the mirror is a little easier said than done. I know I am smaller the tape measure says so but I am at an akward place with my body image the changes are there and the skin isn't looking too bad but it still sneaks up on me sometimes and likes to push me into that negative body image mode I am doing better at battling it and pushing those thoughts and and reminding myself I have a dimple in my face again (the good kind) the other one is about to show give it about 20 more pounds so just keep doing the positive things the body will keep shrinking too and the skin will get tighter maybe not perfect but it will return to looking better, but oh mirror how I do hate you some days not so much you but my reaction to the reflection I see but then I have to remind myself yes there is that saggy skin but look at the upper abs that are starting to show look at the definition in the arms that had been lacking for so long look at the trapezius muscles that have always made tank tops a favorite of mine. So while my self image is not where I wish it would be I am able to see the positive but every once in awhile that little glimpse does make me cringe and I have to remind myself of the positive.

    Keep those positive thoughts up front and tell the negative ones to get in line! You're doing great, you know you are, don't let self-doubt get you down. You're way healthier and happier now than you were 50lbs ago, right?

Oh, and where the heck is that pizza recipe - do I look on the sparkrecipe page? FOUND IT!

    Well done for your progress. You are doing well

We don't see ourselves as others see us, we tend to see ourselves in a less than positive light which then leads us to find fault with everything we do!!

The mirror doesn't help in this at all- as long as you remember how far you have come and how much closer you are to your goal you will soon be able to see yourself as others do, in a positive light, taking control of your life emoticon

Insanity Days 22 and 23 and Run

Day 22 pure cardio I did really great until the suicide jumps at the end I was pretty tapped out but it felt great. Day 23 Cardio Power and Resistance I had issues today the reason I was tapped out nutritionally when I got to thinking about it I realized I had barely made 1000 calories yesterday yikes too low. I did make it through the workout but it was a battle all the way and afterward i did my run for the day 3.2 miles it felt good and for as tapped as I felt during Insanity I didn't feel too bad on the run. I took it nice and easy because I knew just getting out there was a battle today but once I got out there I felt great I have been enjoying our decent weather. I got a good stretch in afterward especially since I did back to back workouts. I then fueled up with and egg white omlette and taboule salad. I brought extra food (carbs) with me tonight to get myself back on track with the nutrition, I have to watch the days that I am not that hungry I need to eat more than a 1000 calories that put me at almost a 1600 calorie deficit for the day and that is just not right! and not healthy at all!

Insanity Days 20 and 21

Day 20 plyometric cardio circuit. Day 21 is rest day yippee! Went for 3 mile run today ready to ramp up on the running training. It was a pretty decent run felt good the weather was nice and I think I have conquered my fear of running in public I have that "oh look at the fat girl trying to run" thing that I am working through. Overall though a really good feeling though to get the run done and have people see me but I do prefer morning running to afternoon just because I don't have to wait for traffic and have as many people out for an afternoon stroll in the way.

  


Insanity Day 19 and Thai Chicken Pizza

Cardio Power and Resistance along with a 3 mile jog (roughly) for the workout today my clothes are growing I need to get smaller jeans and stuff! Can't beat that feeling. Cooked Thai Chicken pizza out of the Beach Body cook book Yum I love it and it is dairy free so it's a win win for me and it's not heavy. I did a homemade honey wheat crust which was super easy to make, then followed the recipe there was one ingredient I couldn't find but it didn't seem to be missing. Pretty decent serving size too for fairly low calories 260 and 9g of fat. I will get around to posting it for others one of these days. Life is good!

Congrats on the soon to come new clothes - I agree "love" that feeling! I got some Abercrombie & Fitch ($80) jeans at Goodwill (for $5) 2 weeks ago and I'll be exchanging them as soon as I get back over there!
