P90X Round 2 day 1

At it again only this time I am looking for some major gains by phase 2. I am also doing a lot more cardio this time around since I have so much more energy than I did the first time. I have taken to doing some time on the bike and then about a half hour of jogging laps in my house, this is mostly so I can be ready when it is time to get outside and jog, I want my body to be used to the motion of jogging. I am increasing my bike time on the days that I am not jogging, but my goal is to do about an hour a day additional cardio. Had a little weight plateau the last couple days but I actually added some calories in and today I lost a pound woo hoo! Another thing I have added in is doing some ab work before bed each day, I have one of those ab lounge chairs and I thought why not dust that off and get just a little more fitness each day and see if I can't flatten my tummy out some more. Looking forward to this whole second round I think it will be very successful for me.

    I started my round 2 today too... just finished actually! Cardio is definitely a great idea. One thing I'd highly recommend is interval training. At any level, interval training will get results faster than just your standard cardio.

Continue pushing play... and of course, don't smash your face!

Starting round 2 of p90x tomorrow, can't wait to see the results I get this time. I have enjoyed my "rest" week mostly done some cardio just to keep my fitness level up and I have done some really light strength training. Kept up with my nutrition throughout the holidays so I have continued to lose/maintain weight loss over the season. Now here is to getting to my overall goal.

2009 Reflections

After reading someone elses' blog I decided to take their idea and look back at my first blogs of the year. One thing I realized that needs to be on my resolutions list this year is to be a more positive person. I know the reasons for all the negativity and much of that baggage is gone, the boyfriend, the house project is close to complete although I am still stressing a little bit, and excuses. I am definetly feeling a lot better about exercise at the beginning of the year I viewed it as a chore, where now i view it as a good thing a habit I don't want to quit. I am eating a lot less and having basically no binges where it seemed like early on in the year about once or twice a week I was writing about a big eating binge that left me feeling like crud. It'll be fun to continue to read them over the next couple days.

    Excellent results. I have been debating on P90X or a local gym membership. I think I will go with P90X.
