P90X Day 64 Week 10 wow I'm a p90x veteran

Sunday, November 29, 2009

I am a p90x veteran although I am not done with the program I am so much farther than week 1 and so much farther than I thought I would get. Due to my work schedule I work 12 hour shifts and this is my 3 day weekend, I was feeling sluggish today so I figured rather than give a lackluster effort to my workout I would just double up tomorrow. I did 30 minutes on my stationary bike instead, like I said feeling sluggish. Normally I would have pushed myself for the whole hour but I decided to put together a healthy meal for the evening. Still trying to find that balance where I am giving full effort to both exercise and nutrition. I'm a little disappointed with my results lately I think some of my energy has been fading lately, probably the weather, the scale has been stubborn (TOM), and the inches have been falling but much slower. Think I need to work on bringing more energy to the workouts I still love the workouts it just seems I am tired. I hoping the tiredness is nutritionally linked and not overtraining or dwindling motivation. I do think it is the nutrition and I am going to track it better over the next couple weeks. For now I will keep pushing the play button and doing my best and forgetting the rest, I will continue with my additional workouts but I definetly need to get back to Bringing it.

I've been thinking that I am going to track really closely and watch the types of food I am eating to see if I can get some more go juice to finish out 3 more weeks.

If you're plateauing and tired, you may be undereating. Perhaps if it continues you could consider upping your calories a little. You're going great!

P90X Day 63 Rest then week 10 begins

Sunday, November 29, 2009

For my rest day I took an hour walk with the dogs and enjoyed the glorious weather. Went with my real life spark buddy and her brother. Her brother runs marathons and stuff so it was nice to be around someone who is inspirational because of his healthy lifestyle, good for both of us.

P90X Day 62 Less than a month to go.

Friday, November 27, 2009

Thanksgiving went okay I didn't eat as well as I planned but still only ate one plate of food, actual serving sizes of the foods. Enjoyed some pie, had an upset stomach in the evening don't know if this was the result of the alcohol the night before or being too full (which is amazing because last year I don't think I got full off 2 plates of food). I ended up tossing my cookies, but seemed to be okay later in the evening. I had to stay up late last night so that I could get back onto my work schedule, so after I was feeling better I had a lean cusine flatbread sandwich. I got up today and felt a lot better in general and was ready to get right back on track, rode the bike for 30 minutes, then did legs and back that I didn't do yesterday because I was feeling under the weather. I did 75 minutes of walking before work. The dogs had been cooped up because of the weather so I felt they needed a nice long one. They were crashed out on the couch when I left for work have a feeling that is where they'll be when I get home. I ate well today and packed a nice healthy dinner for work with lots of veggies and a fat free dip I made out of fat free sour cream and Mrs. Dash fiesta lime. I have also added cayenne pepper to everything to get that extra burn etc. Overall I am feeling good about how I did over the holiday and I also worked out 90 minutes or more each day. I know that this success I am having is going to carry over into the new year and I will reach my goal.

P90X Day 61 oh the misery of drinking...

Thursday, November 26, 2009

So I haven't been drinking much or hardly at all for that matter and last night I decided to self destruct for the night I drank quite a lot and topped it with McDonalds and yes I ate the fries. The good news is I feel disgusting for it especially the McDonalds. So I punished myself with an early wake up mostly because of all the indigestion. After innudating my body with a gallon of water I hit the exercise bike. I'm saving P90 for after all the turkey its legs and back that should help me digest and burn off some of those calories. I'm planning on being good tho especially because I'm still feeling awful from last night. Bringing carrots to snack on I'm making the mashed potatoes I'm using olive oil butter, and fat free sour cream trying to cut the calories by making them so they don't need gravy. Anyway night of self destruction over back to the good habits. It was a reminder that I don't want to live like that I don't feel good when I drink alcohol and eat unhealthy. So no worries I'm not on a total meltdown. Have a good Thanksgiving everyone.

I've had similar experiences of overindulging in food that's totally not good for me and feeling just awful afterwards - it's a very effective lesson to learn because I felt so awful because of making not-good choices that I had control over!

It sounds like you're recovering from this little bump quickly and taking care of yourself - way to go!

I hope you have a great Thanksgiving, too. Your mashed potatoes sound yummy! :D
