I have to take a moment to sing the praises of P90X. I am so skeptical of get fit quick workouts etc. This really works I am wishing I had taken day one pics Definetly going to do day 30 to 60 and 60 to 90. I can't believe the changes my body is going through I can't believe how much my gut has shrunk. I was really getting frustrated with my body and about to give up on ever getting fit again. One night I saw the infomercial and I thought I should really try it. I knew some of the guys at work had been doing it. So the skeptic that I am I borrowed the discs thinking I would try them for 3 weeks then order them if I was have any success. Before I started I thought there was no way I was in shape enough to do them so I found the fit test online and found out I could pass the minimum. I ordered the discs at the end of week one after measuring myself and finding I had lost 3 inches off my waist and 2 off my hips. Now starting my 4th week and I am planning a 2nd go around to get really super fit and I am really excited each day to push play so I can see what day 90 brings. This blog is directed to people who are interested in the program but think that they can't do it or it just works for some people. I will say this it is a commitment and you have to push play and be ready to change but if you are looking to jumpstart your fitness program I plan to get some pics so that you can see I am for real!

    Man, between this blog & my bestie (HEZLIZZIE) having great luck with P90x, I'm so tempted to try it out! I'm currently doing 30DS and training for a half marathon but I'd love to lose some inches off my waist and stomach and it seems like P90x might be the way to do it. Wish I could afford it! I may have to shuffle money around a bit and see if I can swing it!

P90X Day 22 That's right the start of my 4th week

Yoga went well today I am still doing the first 30 minutes or so of it today i made it farther than I have and even did some new moves so I feel like I will conquer this disc. It felt really good today and relaxing of course this may be because it is the first time I have done the video without my sinuses being backed up. Can't believe I am on week 4. I love the program so much that I plan on doing a round 2 after I graduate and take a week or so off. I think the second time is where I will see some true fitness right now I am just trying to get back into normal person shape then I will go for superfit. Gotta take some pics soon tho at least I will see the difference although I can tell majorly in my stomach

    Hi! I just wanted to let you know that if you're really trying to get some good yoga moves, you might want to try the last 45 minutes of the DVD. They are all 'non-moving' poses. It also features a little segment called 'Yoga Belly'. I know the first 45 minutes are pretty hard so just a thought to maybe try to switch it up a little bit! Good luck on week 4!!!

P90X Day 21

Kenpo X today always a fun workout you push play and before you know it the workout is over. Today should be a decent diet day I packed a healthy lunch I don't bring money to work anymore so the VENDO temptation isn't there. I also went for a walk with my real life spark buddy YVONNEN. Sounds like we may get together a cook some meals this week and even a few out of the p90x nutrition plan Italian Meatloaf looks so good and fairly inexpensive. My scale is still stubborn refusing to budge even one pound in the negative. I know I am seeing real results with the smaller waistline but it is still frustrating to see that scale stuck on the same number, maybe I need a new scale maybe it is broken. I would not feel so bad about the scale if it wasn't for the fact that I need to lose at least 100lbs. Oh well I guess I'll just keep pushing play maybe at least one of those stubborn pounds will go hop a train and get out of town. Recovery week coming up maybe I'll hit the bike some aswell as walk too in addition to my p90x workouts argh! a lot of yoga this week. Keep on sparking and keep pushing play

    I try not to focus on the scale and I am proud of the inches I am losing but it is so frustrating to still be saying the same number for my weight.

    You might want to look into a body fat % measuring device. I have a scale that has metal plates you step on that gives you your approximate body fat %, and the feedback I get from that is more motivating than my weight # for lots of my weigh ins!

Are you taking measurements, too? I only keep track of my waist and hip measurement and it's also really motivating feedback that doesn't take up a bunch of time.

Also, hooray for recovery week - we've earned it! :D

I hate my thyroid and the weight it made me gain and the weight it makes even more difficult to lose. I hate that when I am losing weight the first thing to go is my boobs, why not my butt, belly, or thighs. I hate cheese, well I love cheese but it hates me. I hate that I am a born linebacker, even at my lightest weight i weigh 170. I hate things that interrupt my training schedule seriously can someone just pay me to workout. I hate floods and the financial burden they cause. I hate winter and the snow. I hate looking in the mirror and seeing a fat girl where did the skinny one with the 6 pack go? I guess I can sit here and hate these things or I can get off my fat butt and do something about them. KenpoX in the morning...for now just keep pushing play!

    I can relate to the "girls" getting smaller before anything else does, too. So frustrating! But eventually the rest of the body catches up, thank goodness. :D

Day 20 P90X

Since I was so busy the other day I changed my schedule a little bit and used yesterday as my rest day. Did legs and back today definetly getting in better shape. Noticed my work pants fit a lot better today even after washing them. My diet kind of slipped the past couple days so I am going to be tightening that up over the next couple days. I noticed that it has a huge effect on my energy levels. I wasn't eating frequently enough and not clean enough. Didn't go totally off the wall on it or anything just want to focus a little more on it. Other than that really loving the program still deciding if I want to go the doubles course or not, thinking that I may do it on the days that I have time available to do it.

    It's great how much focus and energy you're putting into your plan. Knowing that you need to eat more "clean" foods and to eat more often is great - because now that you're aware of what you need to change I know you'll do it & you'll be successful. It will make a big difference in your energy levels, I have a feeling. Keep it up! :D

    hope you can make it through all 90 days of P90x...while my exposure to the whole system has been limited, I do know for a fact that ab ripper x can make grown men cry (and yes i am speaking from personal experience). Keep at it and stick with it.
