One more morning of waking up without more snow! Here we are at the end of November almost and only a small sprinkling of snow on the ground. We are still hitting the plus side of temperatures during the daytime. Makes me wonder what kind of months Jan, Feb and Mar are going to be!.

I woke up this morning also to realizing that for the first time in a long time, I actually slept through the night. Even though I went to bed early...I still could have rolled over and gone back to sleep. Must have something to do with the darker days and like the animals when winter comes, we want to hibernate! At least that's my story. LOL

My positives:

Still good driving conditions.
A great night's sleep.
My online Christmas project is complete and sent for publication. Yay...more gifts down.
Excited about getting my backsplash down this coming weekend.
Life in general...it's good!

Have a fantastic day, keep on setting your goals and moving towards them.

Hugs,
Wanda

Wanda, I was wondering the same thing...The last few mornings I have "overslept" for me, awaking between 6 and 6:45 AM! I think you've got it...We want to hibernate!

Hugs and blessings!

Back to work once again. A new week, a new opportunity to make it an awesome week.

I had a lovely relaxing long weekend with having had Friday off work. Met some goals that I had set for myself...YAY...finished my Christmas project that I was working on. Found out I have a couple of small tweaks to do to it last night...such as increasing the font size, so nothing major. I will tend to that when I get home from work today. Just waiting for Shyra to finish her shopping for her niece. Once that is done...the parcel is reading to be sent. Found boxes to pack up the other out of town parcel. We are ahead of the game this year, no last minute panic to get things sent!

Kaeli has made the decision to pack up and move back here. YAY, when I spoke with her yesterday, her voice sounded so much more positive. She will finish out the week's worth of work that is lined up for her and come home for the winter at least. So now all she needs is a job on this end. Thank you for all that have lifted her in prayer. I know that everything is not solved, but she feels like she is moving forward once again.

My positives:

A wonderfully relaxing weekend.
Kaeli is feeling more positive.
Christmas parcels just about ready to go out the door.
Only some minor tweaking needed to finish my big Christmas project.
Knowing that God meets all our needs when we trust Him to be with us.

Thank you for stopping by. I look forward to catching up with your day when I get home from work.

Hugs,
Wanda

Sounds like a great weekend. I'm glad that Kaeli has made a decision that she is at peace with. It sounded like she might have been leaning in that direction already. We'll continue to pray that the job situation will work out once she has moved. We know that God knows our needs and provides for us! Soooo thankful for that! Have a great day!

Has winter arrived or hasn't it???

Saturday, November 21, 2009

Woke up this morning to the ground covered in white and more of it falling. Has winter arrived for sure or this just another teaser!
As much as I hate the arrival of snow each winter, waking up in the morning to an untouched landscape of white sure is pretty.

We were really hoping that it would hold off yet for a couple more weeks. Kaeli is about 85% sure that she is going to pack up and move back here. Which means her Dad and brother are looking at taking a vehicle up and helping her move her household full of items back down. So much easier to accomplish if there isn't snowy roads to be concerned about. But, it's that time of year soooooo. She has one more week worth of work in camp, so is really trying to hear the voice of God as to whether it is time to move on. She loves her field of work, just not so much the work she is doing right now. The academic side of things is where she really wants to be. She said that a very strong indicator to her was when she got off the phone with me the other evening that she just wanted to start packing! Please continue to pray for her to hear and know beyond a shadow of a doubt what her next move should be. I know she will find peace with her decisions when they are in alignment with her spirit.

It's Silly Saturday today, time to let that inner child out to do some playing. Time to share a laugh or two with those around us. Anyone up for a snowball fight...we got snow now!

My positives:
God who despite our difficulty hearing His voice at times, continues to love, support and attempt to get through to us. He never gives up on us.
It's Silly Saturday, my laundry is all done, just minor chores to do around the house...so I can play.
Being so blessed.

Thank you for stopping by and listening to my rambling. Have a wonderful day, enjoy the moment and rejoice that you are alive.

Hugs,
Wanda

Enjoy your silly Saturday and have a good weekend.

Glorious Friday!

Friday, November 20, 2009

Boy did I sleep in this morning! I never woke up until I heard Shy getting up and getting ready for work.....good thing I have today off work! lol
My body must have need all that sleep. Almost 10.5 hours of sleep...woo hoo. Only problem is...I feel like half my day has disappeared..LOL. I so used to having been up for 4 hours by this point.

Had a call from Kaeli last night, she is really struggling. Prayers would be greatly appreciated for her. She has another week of work out in camp, but is really struggling with finding her path in life. Part of her wants to move back here as she feels it has been where she was most content, but part of her is feeling like she has "failed". She is so hard on herself and is struggling with how to change that without changing who she is. I've been sharing with her the need to use positives affirmations and focus on what she desires in her life without worrying about how it is going to occur. Sometimes it is so hard being a parent and knowing that "you" can't fix everything for your child...it's work that they must do themselves.

Today, being my day off work, my intention is to get my out of town parcels ready for shipment, possibly even get them shipped, finish my online Christmas project that I have on the go, do up the laundry(freeing my weekend) and have some "me" time for meditation.

My positives:
My backsplash tile was delivered to the house yesterday afternoon. I'm so excited, it looks awesome. Next weekend we will begin the chore of putting it in. Poor Garry is dealing with some dental extractions from yesterday that are leaving him feeling abit under the weather.
He's had a root canal done several years ago that never fixed the problem and now had created more problems, so extractions became necessary of a couple of teeth.
Thankful for dentists who really care and help to correct a problem.
Phone lines with Kaeli...being able to pray together over the phone and act as her sounding board.
Sharing with Kaeli words that I feel guided to share.
Knowning that I can place my concerns in God's hands and somehow He will take care of the whys, wherefors and so on.
Having today off to work on my tasks.
A weekend ahead of me to enjoy.
Teammates who care and offer encouragement.

Thanks for stopping by and being a part of my life.
Have an awesome day, keep moving forward, eventually you will get to where you are going.

Hugs,
Wanda

Praying for Kaeli that her struggles become easier and that God guides her to the path that is best for her. Bless you for being there to listen when she needs to talk. Sometimes that is all our kids want...someone to listen to them. Have a great weekend!!!
Blessings and hugs,
Helen

Praying things workout for Kaeli, what a blessing that the two of you can communicate and listen, that doesn't always happen. Enjoy your weekend.

Truly the hard part of being a parent-trying to guide, but not to mandate to your kids what they ought to do...

Best to you this Friday!

We'll pray for all of you. For direction for Kaeli and a patience. Sometimes God doesn't answer the way we want Him to or in our timeframe. Also for you as you try to guide and support her.

Enjoy your day off and have a wonderful weekend.

Thursday Nov 19

Thursday, November 19, 2009

Yay, today is my Friday at work! I have tomorrow off. Too many overtime hours and I need to use some of them up....so tomorrow is a "free" day.
I may need to even leave work a bit earlier today as Garry has some dental work that needs doing and he may not be able to drive himself home afterwards. He'll give me a call if he needs me to come and get him. That is one of the nice things about my job...the flexiblity.

Weather predictions are for some snow this weekend, but unles the temperatures take a nosedive, I'm thinking it will be rain instead. I'm okay with it raining.

My positives:
My backsplash tile is supposed to be delivered today.
Today is my Friday! lol
Time to work on finishing (yes, I still need to get it done!) my online Christmas project. I've really got to get it done tomorrow.
I'm becoming much more comfortable with bringing our server system back up by myself on Wednesday mornings! YaY...no longer does terror strike my heart as I play with computer equipment that controls our entire system! lol
Getting a handle on the budgets at work. This is a busy time of year for us as we try to make sure all the money is spent. The uncontrolled part for us, we have no control over when the ordered items are shipped to us. So technically the money is encumbered, but not spent until we actually receive it.
A job that I love doing.
Blesses that flow my way on a daily basis.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit, I'll off to see what challenge Mauri has created for us today.

Hugs,
Wanda

Woo hoo, an early Friday for you, how nice. My Friday morning will be doing coffee hour, I am only making one batch of carrot pumpkin bars, after the Thanksgiving potluck tonight I am thinking that none of us need a lot of rich food in the morning, this recipe is a sparkpeople one so will be much healthier for all of us. Enjoy your long weekend.

Glad to hear that you are more comfortable with the server. It's just a piece of equipment, just like an oven or a car. Once you know how it works, it's all okay.

Yeah for long weekends! Enjoy it! Enjoy the fruits of your labor!
