My Mother's day has been wonderful, very busy, lots of love, laughter and fun.
I had the opportunity to spend some quiet time this morning before the family rolled out of bed. Received some very funny cards, hugs and giggles.
Two phone calls from my son, first one, I was at the store and missed so he left a message and second one we got to talk. It was great that he even remembered that it was Mother's Day...he's away fishing with friends.
My girls made me an incredible supper....my favorite food...a mexican style salad that rivaled my favorite restaurant's Burrito in a bowl...It was so delicious.
Now what did I actually do today:
-went to the store to purchase 4 more bags of organic potting dirt.
-got my container gardening underway. I added more plants. Planted zuchinni, carrots, green onions, green pepper plant, two roma tomato plants, dill, two begonias and I have enough dirt left over to consider one more container veggie! My sincere thank you to our team mates who have inspired me to try again to grow a mini garden of fresh veggies (yes, I did toss in a couple of begonias for beauty!)
-sanded my cedar patio table and gave it three coats of oil...all ready now for the summer.
-spent some time sitting on my deck admiring all my handy work! lol
-got invited over to the neighbors for some ice cold lemonade and a visit. Came away with an invitation to help ourselves to a stack of cement slabs that they no longer required and were going to have to depose of....we'll use them as a walk path.
-Garry repaired and painted my laundry area...all baseboards are removed in preparation for the new cork flooring to go in. I then swept and washed all the floors...just didn't want to have new flooring laid over dirty floors...my mind wasn't even wanting to go there.
-I had a fabulous day...hope everyone else did too.
Thanks for stopping by and thank you for all the inspiration I receive.

Yay, it's a Saturday, so I didn't crawl out of bed until 7 am...that's two hours of sleeping in for me!
Headed to the computer to check in with everyone, feeling light hearted and full of song, so figured it was a good day to have a "singing Saturday"!
Once that was all done, I headed for my monthly tune-up massage. Today's was very painful as I needed a lot of deep tissue work on my right shoulder. My upper spine and neck have been feeling lots of stress. Mostly due to the amount of computer work I've been tackling lately at work. Feeling better now though. Bless Wendy's magic fingers!
Home again after stopping at the store to purchase two more large bags of "Miracle Grow" dirt. Found some seeds for carrots, zuchinni, and red peppers that are supposed to be perfect for growing in pots. I've been very inspired this year to try again to grow some fresh veggies in containers on my deck. I have some roma tomato plants that the greenhouse assured me were great container plants, a green pepper and some romaine lettuce plants. So with all my plants and seeds, I headed out on the deck and assembled some pots and my dirt and had a fun day. Now if the weather just cooperates and the sun shines as needed...I hope to be eating some fresh veggies this summer.
When Garry got home, we disassembled the old vanity and toilet in the half bath and install the vanity portion of the new vanity. The toilet we will install once the new flooring has been laid on Monday and we will install the vanity sink/counter we it arrives sometime after the 12th. I am so excited about my floors finally going in the entryways/laundry area and half bath. I will be estatic when the floors go in my kitchen also...they have to wait until the new kitchen goes in though. In the meantime, Garry is looking forward to finally getting the deck extended this summer. This is the year for major renos! lol.
Talked to Nancy today...caught her in the produce aisle shopping for veggies...way to go Nancy!
Half bathroom all ready now for the flooring.
New floors on Monday! YAY!
Some containers seeded and planted...still more to do.
Got my big tree transplanted into a new pot and it is loving being outside again.
Mother's day tomorrow and the girls are cooking.
So many blessings in my life that help to keep me focusing on the positives.
Thanks for stopping by to say hello.
Have a wonderful Mothers Day tomorrow.

Thank you to all of you who have responded to my frustrated post this morning...it was a moment in time for me and I just voiced what was inside. I'm really all better now and apologize if I made anyone feel bad...was not my intention. Like all of you, I find this team my rock. The positiveness keeps me going and even if only one person participates in the challenges...I will still keep on doing them, because I believe they are important. Besides when I try to not do them, I get nudged very purposely by my guides...this is what I am meant to be doing at this time in my life...life goes along much more smoothly when I am obedient to God's voice. lol
So thank you for all your support and encouragement.
It's been a very busy time at work, I've been putting in 9 hour days with having to eat my lunch at my desk while I keep on working. I am so looking forward to having some time off next week. I found out today that I also need to take Monday off as the person that was supposed to be here tomorrow to start on our floors can't come until Monday now. Garry had tomorrow off work and isn't able to get Monday off. I will be working from home though.
The positive about the delay in the flooring....I don't have to help to tear out the old vanity in the half bath and the toilet tonight, or move the washer and dryer from the laundry room or the many other little tasks like removing baseboards and numbering them so we know where to put them back before tomorrow morning. I have all weekend now to help Garry with these tasks. I even get to make sure all the laundry is done as I will not have my machines back in operation for a couple of days after the flooring is laid as we have some added renos to do to the laundry area.
The support and encouragement I receive from so many on this team...thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for allowing me to be human and whine once in awhile!
Time to complete all the necessary tasks before the new flooring goes in.
Only an 8.5 hour day today at work...woo hoo.
It's almost Friday and the weekend....sleeeppppzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
God, who when I turn things over to Him because I can no longer do it all by myself, lifts me up and provides me with time and energy and a fresh outlook. Thank You.
Thanks for stopping by, positive really does change your outlook. I had a wonderful day.

I had created a "great" blog this morning, and it's disappeared! I checked on my page also and for some reason I can't update my status. It allows me to change status, but then won't save it, that's when I noticed that the blog I did this morning is also missing. ARRRRGGGHHH!
I was so pleased with my blog too. lol. So I guess I will at least briefly tell you about my great blog from this morning. It was one of those blogs that you just can't re-create...darn, I was actually very creative today too! lol.
Okay, Here goes:
I'm exhilarated....I got up bright and early...mainly because the dumb cats don't understand that on Saturday mornings I do not have to get up at 4:30 am for work. Just because they are hungry doesn't mean I should have to get up to feed them! Stupid cats! lol.
Anyway, I decided that seeing as I was up, I might as well get dress and lace up my shoes and head out the door for a good walk. That's just what I did. Only I added a twist to my morning walking routine...I put to rest the notion that I wasn't able to do something. (In my original blog I recited the entire conversation that went on in my head as I was walking, you know the one where that little voice comes along and snickers at you and tells you how dumb you are and who do you really think you are trying to fool)
This morning I overcame a huge hurdle in my mind set and I JOGGED! WOO HOO...this middle-aged, grey haired lady (okay so I also have some purple in my hair) actually jogged in public! I DID IT! Of course, I didn't jog the whole 50 minutes that I was out there, but I did manage to actually jog in spurts. Yes, my heart thought I was trying to kill it, and let me know that it was not prepared for such a harsh jump start to the morning, but after it settled down and I reconfirmed to it that it was not going to die it valiantly pumped along. Besides, I told it, if it did give out, I was sure that eventually I would be rescued by some other nice person out doing their daily walk/jog.
I'm so thrilled with myself. Can you tell????
After getting home, I was so reveved up that I decided that some major mall walking was also in the cards. Off I went to the city to spend 70 minutes walking around West Edmonton Mall. A great place to get some exercise in, although at a slower pace due to the number of people out doing their Saturday shopping and of course the detours into the stores to have a look see. No, I did not buy anything.
Thanks for stopping by and sharing in my amazing day.
Have a wonderful evening.
(Darn, sure wish the first blog hadn't disappeared, I was so creative with it! lol)
