Okay...I'm really tired of winter! Woke up this morning to snow on the ground. Not impressed Lord! Okay, I know, we do need the moisture...but a nice gentle rain would be so much warmer! lol
My last day of holidays and part of me is anxious to get back to work as we are so busy there, the other part is saying ....wouldn't it be nice to be retired! Actually, I would be bored doing nothing, but then I have a wonderful plan that I'm anxious to put into action upon having more time to devote to it. Some ideas that God has been laying across my heart and I know they will come to fruitation in the right timing.
The snow has finally melted, it's still very cold out and overcast but at least I now see some grass! woo hoo!
Lunch date with my girls. Kaeli is moving on Friday to Ft. St. John, BC to begin her much awaited for archeology job. She is nervous and excited all at the same time.
My laundry machines are all reconnected and my laundry is all done.
Did I mention how much I really love my new cork flooring! lol
Made some head way in getting my office and family room in some sort of order. As soon as the replacement carpeting for our flooded basement arrives, I will have both those rooms back in order.
Life...it's just so great when we take the time to see all the blessings that come our way.
Old friends and new friends.
God who in His wisdom guides my footsteps.

I'm sore........I've been busy!
Yesterday evening I damp mopped all the new cork flooring and we put a coat of sealer on it. It really looks great. This morning we noticed about 4 spots that we missed! go figure! Oh well, we still have to do the front entryway so we'll catch those spots then.
Bright and early this morning I repainted the laundry area the same "lotus Flower" color as the halfbath. It looks very nice. Painted all the new baseboards last night so they were ready for Garry to cut and install today. We went with bigger baseboards with a bit of a design to them. They sure look great. Garry is hoping to get them all nailed in place tonight, so that we can move my washer and dryer back into place and I can get some laundry done tomorrow.
I also painted Shy's bedroom today, which means that all those paint fumes have really done their number on me. My eyes are itching, and because I've been breathing them in, all my joints are inflamed. One of the side effects that occurs when the toxins enter my body. Oh well, the plus side is the rooms really look good now and I'm done with painting in closed in areas.
We hope to get the half bath all put back together tomorrow also. The new toilet to install as well as the new vanity and vanity top. Such fun! I'm sure looking forward to having some organization happening in the house.
We had a beautiful sunny day, although the wind was cold. Tomorrow is supposed to be the same and then cold with possible snow! I'll be hauling all my plant pots back into the house again.
Garry had the day off to help with all the reno things going on.
Painting is done for now.
Baseboards almost all installed in the back entryway, laundry area and bathroom.
Kaeli picked up supper for us all tonight. Yay,...not cooking.
A wonderful day of crossing things off my "to do" list.
Thanks for stopping by, I'm off to have a long soak.

I'm at it again. I stopped at the hardware store after taking my son to work today and picked out a new paint color. The new cork floors were crying out for some warmer tones to go with them. I chose a paint "lotus Flower" it a very pale cream color and goes very well with the harbor mist color that we have up and will great in the half bath. I like the green I painted it, but no one else does...tired of hearing their remarks, so I'll paint it again. lol
A very busy day at work today, I have to go in tomorrow morning at 5:30 am as I have too many things that need to be done before I leave on some days off. I had my day all figured out and then just before I was leaving today our supervisor announced that we were having a staff meeting tomorrow morning and to be prepared for a long session. She has booked the committee room from 9:30 to 12:30. There went my schedule...in order to accomplish all that must be done, I'm going to have to go to work early. I was supposed to be off at noon, but sounds like that might not happen. Oh well, I will have until the 20th off and then possible even that day. There is going to be some glueing going on the 19th when some new carpet is being laid at work. Our director came to let me know that if when I get back to work on the 20th and the fumes are still not good for me, that I have permission to gather up some work and head home to work. Bless her heart.
Only one more sleep until I have some holiday time.
Cork flooring is done and looking great.
New paint color chosen.
My outdoor garden has moved indoors due to cold weather, but now my house looks very bright and cheery with all those plants.
God who is so good to this family.
Thanks for stopping by and for being my inspiration.

My Mother's day has been wonderful, very busy, lots of love, laughter and fun.
I had the opportunity to spend some quiet time this morning before the family rolled out of bed. Received some very funny cards, hugs and giggles.
Two phone calls from my son, first one, I was at the store and missed so he left a message and second one we got to talk. It was great that he even remembered that it was Mother's Day...he's away fishing with friends.
My girls made me an incredible supper....my favorite food...a mexican style salad that rivaled my favorite restaurant's Burrito in a bowl...It was so delicious.
Now what did I actually do today:
-went to the store to purchase 4 more bags of organic potting dirt.
-got my container gardening underway. I added more plants. Planted zuchinni, carrots, green onions, green pepper plant, two roma tomato plants, dill, two begonias and I have enough dirt left over to consider one more container veggie! My sincere thank you to our team mates who have inspired me to try again to grow a mini garden of fresh veggies (yes, I did toss in a couple of begonias for beauty!)
-sanded my cedar patio table and gave it three coats of oil...all ready now for the summer.
-spent some time sitting on my deck admiring all my handy work! lol
-got invited over to the neighbors for some ice cold lemonade and a visit. Came away with an invitation to help ourselves to a stack of cement slabs that they no longer required and were going to have to depose of....we'll use them as a walk path.
-Garry repaired and painted my laundry area...all baseboards are removed in preparation for the new cork flooring to go in. I then swept and washed all the floors...just didn't want to have new flooring laid over dirty floors...my mind wasn't even wanting to go there.
-I had a fabulous day...hope everyone else did too.
Thanks for stopping by and thank you for all the inspiration I receive.

Yay, it's a Saturday, so I didn't crawl out of bed until 7 am...that's two hours of sleeping in for me!
Headed to the computer to check in with everyone, feeling light hearted and full of song, so figured it was a good day to have a "singing Saturday"!
Once that was all done, I headed for my monthly tune-up massage. Today's was very painful as I needed a lot of deep tissue work on my right shoulder. My upper spine and neck have been feeling lots of stress. Mostly due to the amount of computer work I've been tackling lately at work. Feeling better now though. Bless Wendy's magic fingers!
Home again after stopping at the store to purchase two more large bags of "Miracle Grow" dirt. Found some seeds for carrots, zuchinni, and red peppers that are supposed to be perfect for growing in pots. I've been very inspired this year to try again to grow some fresh veggies in containers on my deck. I have some roma tomato plants that the greenhouse assured me were great container plants, a green pepper and some romaine lettuce plants. So with all my plants and seeds, I headed out on the deck and assembled some pots and my dirt and had a fun day. Now if the weather just cooperates and the sun shines as needed...I hope to be eating some fresh veggies this summer.
When Garry got home, we disassembled the old vanity and toilet in the half bath and install the vanity portion of the new vanity. The toilet we will install once the new flooring has been laid on Monday and we will install the vanity sink/counter we it arrives sometime after the 12th. I am so excited about my floors finally going in the entryways/laundry area and half bath. I will be estatic when the floors go in my kitchen also...they have to wait until the new kitchen goes in though. In the meantime, Garry is looking forward to finally getting the deck extended this summer. This is the year for major renos! lol.
Talked to Nancy today...caught her in the produce aisle shopping for veggies...way to go Nancy!
Half bathroom all ready now for the flooring.
New floors on Monday! YAY!
Some containers seeded and planted...still more to do.
Got my big tree transplanted into a new pot and it is loving being outside again.
Mother's day tomorrow and the girls are cooking.
So many blessings in my life that help to keep me focusing on the positives.
Thanks for stopping by to say hello.
Have a wonderful Mothers Day tomorrow.
