Another snow shoveling day again today. We have doubled the amount of snow that was predicted and boy do I know it! I'll be out the door again this morning to shovel and most likely it will need to be done when I get home. The plus side to all this snow, I may not be getting my WiiFit done, but I'm sure getting my exercise in none the less.

I'm looking forward to Writing Wednesday's assignment...maybe my finger will land somewhere nice and warm! Check out the assignment and have fun completing it!

My positives:
Although I am unable to fit both the Wii Fit and snow shoveling in before going to work in the morning...I am exercising.
We are supposed to get three days of sunshine before getting dumped on again this coming weekend!
My new glasses are in, yay!
My kids, who keep me encouraged to be as healthy as possible.
God, who blesses my life each day.

Have a wonderful day, keep on moving forward.

Snow and more snow!

Monday, February 23, 2009

Mother nature has changed her mind about bringing spring I think. We woke up this morning to snow once again. Just when we were beginning to think, maybe just maybe spring was around the corner.
The plus side to all of this...I got to burn lots of calories with shoveling snow! I had to shovel before heading for work and then again when I got home. It's still snowing, so more snow shoveling will be in store for me in the morning once again.
Another plus...it's almost the end of February...we are not likely to see snow in June...so bring on JUNE!

My positives:
a change of pace this morning...instead of doing Wii Fit...I got to shovel snow and burn calories.
a good and busy day at work.
a nice fluffy omelet for supper tonight filled with lots of peppers, onions and a little sprinkling of shredded cheese.
Marla's birthday today!
My income tax software installed nicely and I've made a start on the income taxes.
Family and friends who always add a smile to me day.

Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful evening.

"Let it Snow" is suppose to be a Christmas tune, but I see you have gotten more than your share! I wonder how high the snow drifts are? I can remember as a kid, loving to make snow angels.
I "escaped" to Arizona to get away from the snow. May you "escape" into your imagination where you can eliminate the snow if you wish.

Wanda, like Kathy, I've needed a positive in the past couple of days. Thank you for giving it to me - WE HAVE NO SNOW! HURRAH! So nice of you to take it all.
Now that omelet is sounding really good...yum. Maybe I'll make one myself this eve.

Mindful hugs,

Hi Wanda - Thanks for the blog visit ... I have a really small area where I've set up my treadmill (it folds away when guests arrive) ... if I were to get another one, I'd get an even smaller one than what I have ... for me I only get it up to 4mph tops and I just use a slight incline. I LOVE mine - it makes it possible to get my aerobics done even at odd hours and when it's raining. I had one of those gazelles and it was very portable and did the trick.

I can't imagine a much better calorie burner than shoveling snow! We never get that much snow here. Don't wish for June to hard, it'll get here fast enough on it's on and I have way to much to get done between now and then! =o)

Oh I've been in search of a positive tonight and I found some... lol thanks...

Now I'm not sure I understand your comment about spring being around the corner and no snow in JUNE? Are you saying that your spring isn't until June?

I'll be happy to share my 74 degrees days with you like we had today... lol

Oh I had a wonderful time with the company... I'll blog when I get the chance... but been too busy... But I have to tell you this... I have a Grandson that LOVES to give HUGS! LOL You know how that made me feel??? So happy... LOL

Have a great evening...

Feb 22

Sunday, February 22, 2009

Serenity Sunday has been a great day.
I went to the grocery store early this morning and stocked up on all the items that we need for the coming week. Lots of fresh fruit, oranges, apples, bananas, and blackberries. There was a super sale on granola bars (100 calories ones) reg 3.49 on sale for 99 cents! woo hoo! I of course stocked up, as everyone likes to take one for their lunches.

After getting groceries, it was home again to spend the day just relaxing.
My positives:

A nice supper cooking in the oven...roasted baby potatoes and peppers (for me!) and honey maple sausages for everyone else to add to their meal. I'll just have the salad and potatoes....meat is not something I enjoy, but the family does.
Weekend chores all done.
My kitty seems to be feeling better...which is great as I wasn't looking forward to a vet bill next week. I'll still take her in for a check up, but at a later date.
Time to spend on the computer chatting with an old friend from New Zealand...they have just been blessed with a new addition to their family on the 22 (which for them was yesterday). He is adorable and of course pictures were posted.
Some Mother/daughter time with Kaeli.
Extreme home makeover is on tonight...love that show...the kids call it Mom's tissue show!
God, who in His infinite wisdom gives me the words I need when sharing with those close to me.

Have a wonderful evening...tomorrow is Motivation Monday...so let's get motivated!

I'm very impressionable. I think I'll have potatoes and peppers for dinner. But I think I'll have the chicken too. Just a small piece. I hope that your day is going well and I think I'm going to wind up a day behind around here. The computer is in the TV space, so that means I have to "spark" early in the day and then wait until the next morning to catch up. Change is hard, don't ya know. Have a great evening. I look forward to hearing about your day, tomorrow. Better than nothing!!!!!
Love You.

Feb 20 and Fabulous Friday to boot!

Friday, February 20, 2009

Day 5 of my streak with 10minutes exercise in every hour. I was sitting at 50 minutes by the time I got home from work, with several trips up and down stairs at home doing laundry and moving from one area of the house to another (we live in a 4 level split) I got lots of extra steps in. Then Garry came home and we decided to head into the city to IKEA. We spent an hour walking around IKEA...so grand total for today of actual timed minutes....110 minutes! YAY.

Tomorrow is my monthly massage treatment...I'm really looking forward to it. I am truly blessed that our medical covers my monthly massage. The theraputic deep tissue massage helps to keep me moving. I was in a very serious car accident 10 years ago now and as a result of the accident I received damage to my lower back and neck. The massages sure help to relieve the tension that accumulates from sitting at a desk all day long at work. I'm finding that by consciously making myself get up and move for those 10 minutes each hour...I'm not as stiff by the end of the day..."exercise does a body good!" (and so do massages lol)

My positives
Day 5 under my belt, 110 minutes today.
I'm getting the hang of some of the WiiFit yoga exercises lol. Shirl...those emoticon poses you've been coming up with...not so much fun! lol.
Time spent with my husband walking and talking.
Laundry almost done.
Silly Saturday tomorrow and a massage to boot!
All of you who daily bless my life.

Thanks for stopping by...have an awesome evening.

Yay, Day 4 of my streak! 100 minutes total for the day. I plan on putting my feet up for the rest of the evening and just relaxing. Although I do know that there will still be several more times of up and down stairs yet before bed.

A short blog tonight...
My Positives:

Although it snowed today...at least it was not cold. The beginning of next week though as up to 10 cm of snow and -20. brrrrrrrr.
Day 4 of my exercise streak.
I'm improving on Wii Fit, I can almost do the yoga tree pose without wobbling to the point of needing to put my foot back down!
Lot's accomplished at work today.
Time to sit and relax this evening and hold the intention of relaxing enough to have a good sleep tonight.
Fabulous Friday tomorrow....YAY!

I'm taking myself off to spend an evening with Kaeli and catching up with each other. Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderfully blessed evening.
