I woke up this morning feeling very sluggish and ho hum. Noticed that my attitude was not all it could be, especially when Garry asked me "what did you eat for breakfast this morning...grouch cereal?" Oh, oh, time for an attitude adjustment!
Took myself off to my computer/craft room for some alone time and shone the mirror on myself and my attitude. Ouch....not looking too good, no wonder everyone was scattering when they saw me coming!
As I looked around my computer room, I realized just how cluttered up it was...no wonder I was feeling chaotic! I needed to get it cleaned up. Feng Shui time! First step was to haul out the paint can and finish painting the broom closet that I managed to get primed last weekend. That done, I could start putting things back in the closet and throwing out the useless stuff. Even managed to talk nicely to Garry and he took a vehicle full of stuff from my computer room to the donation depot. I could feel the stress lifting. All that stuff that we had left sitting in the middle of the floor in the basement to take to the donation depot had eventually made it up stairs to my computer room, but hadn't made it out of the house! All gone now....YAY! Quin even helped Garry carry downstairs two lovely wooden shelving units that had been donated to us. Garry had wanted to use them in the garage, but I vetoed that, they were too nice, and besides Shy could really use them in her bedroom. Even she has been busy straightening up things in her room. The whole atmosphere in the house just feels so much better....or maybe it's just that my attitude has made an adjustment and I feel so much better...what ever, it's just plain nice!
Quin and Garry hauled out all the outside decorations and they have been outside most of the day putting up the Christmas things...probably felt it was safer outside! It's a beautiful day out, no coats needed even! The weather couldn't be nicer!
Realized that my attitude was setting the tone for everyone....attitude adjustment time!
Cleaned up the clutter and chaos in the computer room, downstairs and the garage.
Finished painting the broom closet and things are restored to order.
Shy loves her new shelves in her bedroom, thank you to a friend who no longer needed them in their home due to their re-modelling.
Serenity Sunday has been restored in our home.
Donations all out of the house now, at least until the next time I start going through closets! lol.
Got my major monthly grocery shopping all done today...yay...food in the house again!
God who reminds me that I am responsible for changing my attitude and how it affects those around me.
Have a great day everyone, mine is much improved!
