Not a great start to anyone's day here today.
The power did two big blips and the computers lost power for a few seconds at the same time we experienced a very loud boom. Took a few minutes to try and figure out what had happened. Turned on the radio to find out that there had been a massive explosion of the AT Plastics plant about 3 miles down the road from where we are located. Apparently there will be great shots on the news tonight as the traffic helicopter was flying over head when the explosion occured, scared the willies out of them I'm sure. Anyway families are in need of your prayers today. The explosion was felt and heard as far as 10 miles away. Praise God, as yet no fatalities. 9 injuries, 5 minor, 3 critical but stable and only 1 critical and unstable. Chemical burns and inhalations. I don't doubt that the percussion from the explosion knocked out windows of some of the closer buildings, but will know more on the news tonight.
God's hand was upon those working there. There very well could have been more in the running for fatality. With God's grace, there won't be any.
Our computer system restored itself, no power outages longer than seconds.
Shyra proudly drove herself to work today and will drive herself home again! Mom's taxi has a much reduced schedule!
I am almost caught up from being away on holidays.
Next week is Halloween, our department costumes are almost ready for Friday. Our department is all dressing up the same. We are books, and on the fronts of our shirts were are ironing on MARC records that describe each of us. Should be fun. I will try and get some pictures to share.
Have a spectacular Fabulous Friday....toot your own horns, you are worth the praise.

Our Shyra finally got up the courage to take her driver's test and she PASSED! Yay, Mom's taxi will not be in such constant use anymore...a little sad, as I enjoyed the chatting time. But excited for her also, we'll just have to find and create other chatting times.
When I got home from work, Shy and I drove down to the insurance office so that Shy could be added onto Kaeli car insurance. Kaeli had left a letter with the agency that Shy would be able to drive her car while she is away. Now she is all legal and ready to drive herself to work tomorrow. Another milestone reached in our baby's life.
We stopped at the mall on the way home to celebrate with the purchase of a steamed milk...our favorite treat.
Shy got her license, she's had her learners for 5 years!
A chance to chat with a couple of friends at the Chapters store today.
A busy day at work,
A steamed milk treat.
My spark friends who without even trying bless me everyday with how well they are doing and how much caring they share.
Waking up and knowing that God is my rock.
Have an wonderful evening all,

Loved this sign that Kaeli took a picture of...I think someone needs to brush up on their English spelling. It's cute though!
Okay, back to work today...yep, it started off with and "oh great!" (a little sarcasm went with that) and has ended with " yay, it's time to go home". lol
So to start my morning off, before I even made it out the door for work today, I decided to make myself a tomato and alpha sprout sandwich. I'm not a huge bread eater, but decided this would be a great lunch for today. Usually I take a whole tomato and then cut it up and make the sandwich just before I eat it, as I don't like soggy sandwiches. Today I figured that with all the alpha sprouts, it wouldn't get soggy, Decided to add a little pepper and then thought, heck I'll add a little salt too. Things were looking really tasty until I picked up the salt shaker and the bottom fell off just as I was bringing it across the top of my sandwich....hence the "oh great". I had just filled the shaker yesterday so all the salt landed ontop of my sandwich. Needless to say, I had to start over. lol. Grabbed an apple, banana and Kosy shack 90 calorie tapioca pudding instead as I also had a granola bar and some Craisins fruit snacks in my bag.
Get to work and there are phone messages on my phone and my phone is ringing (this is still all before 6:30 am) Okay, I deal with the call, telling him that I have just gotten back to work after holiday and could I call him back later in the morning after I locate the top of my desk under all the stuff that is stacked on top of it. He's a great guy and understood. Next I deal with the phone messages. Two were okay, but the third one was one I would rather have not received as it was a confirmation of my intuition. My gentleman friend from the seniors lodge, whom I have been getting talking books for for the past 7 years, passed away on the weekend. Bob unfortunately did not receive his kidney in time. At least now he once again has perfect health as his spirit rejoices at being home with the Lord.
The day was a very busy one, locating the top of my desk, making some organization out of all the paper work and inputting orders. I did complete 2 large orders though and got them sent on their way....YAY. I worked until 3pm today as Shy had to go in early and got off at 3pm....a positive for me, as it meant that I didn't have to drive back to work at 4 to pick her up.
Kaeli is faxing her registration and insurance papers to Garry at work.
Shy is ready to use my vehicle is necessary.
Although I'll miss Bob, I am so pleased that he is no longer suffering and has journeyed home again to perfect health with the Lord.
A health lunch.
A job that I love and although sometimes is overwhelming, I am blessed with having it.
My spark family who keeps me moving forward with all their encouragement and support.
A God who blesses me every day and helps me to see all the positives in my life.
Hugs and a wonderful evening to you all.

My motivation Sunday carried right over into my Motivational Monday! lol
Headed out the door early this morning to get groceries, back home again to pick up Shyra to head to the insurance office where Kaeli has her car insurance. Kaeli had left them a letter stating that Shy has permission to drive her car. We needed to find out what all was required. Well to make a long story short...Shy will most likely need to use my vehicle to take her test. Kaeli has her insurance papers and vehicle registration in her purse and that is in Greece with her! The insurance was no problem getting another copy, but the registration could possibly be...Garry is going to the registry office tomorrow to talk to them and see if they will print out a new copy. In Alberta, you have to go to two different places, one...an insurance office to get insurance and the second being the licensing office. The license plate on Kaeli's car is valid until Jun/09, we just don't have the papers in the car....which if you are stopped by the police is an automatic $250.00 fine. Oh, life is so interesting...everything happens for a reason though, so not allowing it to stress us out. Prayers would be appreciated though as Garry goes to the license office tomorrow.
I did spend some time this afternoon knitting away on Shy's afghan, It's almost done. I'm very pleased with how it is turning out. Shy's choice of color is beautiful.
A great day, motivated to get things accomplished still.
Groceries bought and put away.
The insurance office kindly printed off temporary insurance papers. Kaeli's new insurance kicks in on October 29th.
Garry came home early this evening to take Shy out driving in my vehicle.
Back to work tomorrow...my holiday time went by quickly, but enjoyed getting those gorillas off my back.
Looking forward to getting back into a routine.
God's hand in my life.
Have an incredible evening, keep dreaming those dreams and then put them into action.

Woo Hoo, another gorilla has bit the dust in our house. No serenity Sunday here today, but that's okay cause having another gorilla gone is so fantastic. We finally tackled the crawl space....it was filled up when we moved in with all sorts of things. Today....much of it headed for the recycle and garbage. What we decided to keep was put into labeled containers and once again stored. What's there now is mostly baby keepsake things from the kids, toys, clothes, those types of things. They'll move out when the kids get a settled place of their own.! (I hope!) My doll collection is still packed in boxes and stored as is Garry's car collection. No place to put them on display, so they will remain stored until a better time.
It took us the better part of the 3 hours to get everything done, but it's DONE!
Found 3 plastic bin containers of craft supplies that have now made their way up to my computer/craft room. I will have to sort through them and toss and keep as dictated. I spent an hour shredding old negative memories and deep breathing as I let all those things go. I feel good about letting the fear, anger and resentment go as I shredded those items. They are now going to serve a useful purpose....they are going to the organic recycle place to be turned into compost! Finally found my sewing machine too! Knew it had to be under there somewhere...now it's in the craft room where I might actually use it! lol.
We carted all the recycling stuff out to the garage and Garry loaded it up and took it away....yay! Tomorrow I will take the donation things to the drop off center and clear that out of the garage.
The past few days have been so freeing....painting done, at least for now, de-cluttering of two major gorilla areas complete, much negative energy released and I'm even looking forward to going back to work on Tuesday.
Another huge gorilla off our backs.
A clean crawl space, knowledge of whats there and a cleaned up storage room.
Paint color is growing on me, just need to do some finally feng shui tweeking.
Negative memories shredded and put to a good use.
Tomorrow will be my serenity Sunday as today was Motivation Monday! lol
