My motivation Sunday carried right over into my Motivational Monday! lol
Headed out the door early this morning to get groceries, back home again to pick up Shyra to head to the insurance office where Kaeli has her car insurance. Kaeli had left them a letter stating that Shy has permission to drive her car. We needed to find out what all was required. Well to make a long story short...Shy will most likely need to use my vehicle to take her test. Kaeli has her insurance papers and vehicle registration in her purse and that is in Greece with her! The insurance was no problem getting another copy, but the registration could possibly be...Garry is going to the registry office tomorrow to talk to them and see if they will print out a new copy. In Alberta, you have to go to two different places, one...an insurance office to get insurance and the second being the licensing office. The license plate on Kaeli's car is valid until Jun/09, we just don't have the papers in the car....which if you are stopped by the police is an automatic $250.00 fine. Oh, life is so interesting...everything happens for a reason though, so not allowing it to stress us out. Prayers would be appreciated though as Garry goes to the license office tomorrow.
I did spend some time this afternoon knitting away on Shy's afghan, It's almost done. I'm very pleased with how it is turning out. Shy's choice of color is beautiful.
A great day, motivated to get things accomplished still.
Groceries bought and put away.
The insurance office kindly printed off temporary insurance papers. Kaeli's new insurance kicks in on October 29th.
Garry came home early this evening to take Shy out driving in my vehicle.
Back to work tomorrow...my holiday time went by quickly, but enjoyed getting those gorillas off my back.
Looking forward to getting back into a routine.
God's hand in my life.
Have an incredible evening, keep dreaming those dreams and then put them into action.

Woo Hoo, another gorilla has bit the dust in our house. No serenity Sunday here today, but that's okay cause having another gorilla gone is so fantastic. We finally tackled the crawl space....it was filled up when we moved in with all sorts of things. Today....much of it headed for the recycle and garbage. What we decided to keep was put into labeled containers and once again stored. What's there now is mostly baby keepsake things from the kids, toys, clothes, those types of things. They'll move out when the kids get a settled place of their own.! (I hope!) My doll collection is still packed in boxes and stored as is Garry's car collection. No place to put them on display, so they will remain stored until a better time.
It took us the better part of the 3 hours to get everything done, but it's DONE!
Found 3 plastic bin containers of craft supplies that have now made their way up to my computer/craft room. I will have to sort through them and toss and keep as dictated. I spent an hour shredding old negative memories and deep breathing as I let all those things go. I feel good about letting the fear, anger and resentment go as I shredded those items. They are now going to serve a useful purpose....they are going to the organic recycle place to be turned into compost! Finally found my sewing machine too! Knew it had to be under there somewhere...now it's in the craft room where I might actually use it! lol.
We carted all the recycling stuff out to the garage and Garry loaded it up and took it away....yay! Tomorrow I will take the donation things to the drop off center and clear that out of the garage.
The past few days have been so freeing....painting done, at least for now, de-cluttering of two major gorilla areas complete, much negative energy released and I'm even looking forward to going back to work on Tuesday.
Another huge gorilla off our backs.
A clean crawl space, knowledge of whats there and a cleaned up storage room.
Paint color is growing on me, just need to do some finally feng shui tweeking.
Negative memories shredded and put to a good use.
Tomorrow will be my serenity Sunday as today was Motivation Monday! lol

Well maybe it's done, the painting is complete at least for today! Loving the "habor mist" color...not so sure yet about the "brown clay", which is really more of a terra cotta/pumpkin color. The two colors do look great together and the room looks so much fresher and energized than before. As I told Garry, it's definitely better than before, looks more updated, but not sure if I've updated to today or the 70's LOL. We are going to try and see if we can afford to have the fireplace wall completed with built ins, all will depend on the price to do it. We want them in white so it will contrast nicely and then it doesn't matter the color you paint the walls.
I'll try and take a picture....even though the room is not completely finished. The painting at least is done for a bit. We'll wait and see if the brown clay color is a keeper or not. Just might go with a bright red...LOL.
Had my massage this morning and managed to get rid of the headache. My therapist does Reiki also, so was a huge help.
While I was away, Garry made a great start on completing the painting. Even with the windows open you can still smell paint smell.
Painting is most likely done now until the spring when we can have windows open all day long again.
Phone call from our Kaeli in Greece. Ahhhhh love to hear that child's voice.
Shy and I went out for supper tonight. I had a caesar salad and garlic toast.
I'm feeling better.
Phone call from my brother.
God who blesses me in so many ways.
Have an awesome evening and take the time tomorrow to do some meditation. The benefits are incredible.

Looks like we will have one more day of painting at least. We finally got the primer (2 coats) done and color number one on the walls. House reeks now that the windows have had to be closed for the night. Nausea and headache still there, but I've been trying to spend a few minutes outdoors every couple of hours. Tomorrow we will see if a second coat of number one paint needs to be done and will add color number 2. Most of the walls are in "Harbor mist" which is a very light grey, almost a fog color and the accent color is a color called "Brown clay" sort of a terra cotta color. Far cry from the greens that we originally started out with, but they look pretty good. I'll post some pictures after it's all done. Garry wants to re-do the surface of the fireplace in slate, but that's a project he can do over the winter months.
A husband who despite not liking to paint, took the day off to help out.
Realizing that the flu like symptoms I have are as a result of the chemical fumes from the paint....even though we used low fume paint.
Almost done the painting in the family room. The rest of the house....well, we'll see how and when we do it!
Tomorrow is my massage day....yaaaaaayyyyy! Then I can come home and begin painting all over again!
Have a wonderful evening,

Okay, now that I've started this de-cluttering, it seems like one project is leading to another and then another. Not that that is a bad thing. I'm just now in the cleaning and decorating mode! lol
Today, I decided rather than continuing to procrastinate about painting...I'd take the advice that I have been so freely handing out at "just do it". So I bought the primer paint and some sample paints in the shades that I wanted to try, came home and got all the painting stuff out and "just did it".
I've been putting off the painting as the house is mostly and open concept home and when you start one room, you need to just continue throughout and it was overwhelming knowing how much needed to be done. Today, I looked at the rooms and decided that seeing as the family room was the one room that although it's open to the kitchen, it's on a different level and not visible from the rest of the house was the one I would start in. Also, because it's the one room that we spend all our time in and I really don't like the colors that are there. This whole house was painted a sort of purply pink with dark browny/plum accent walls. After five years of living here....I can't take it any more! lol.
Out came the primer paint for the walls, the wall patch stuff and I got to it. Now because this room is partial in ground, it has what is called a pony wall, that is the wall I began tackling and then it carries on over to the surround the fireplace. So a start has been made in covering the dark color. I then did some color swatches on the wall of the two colors of green tone we chose. One is called "pickling spice" and one is called "canary grass". Now I will see what the different light at different times of the day does to our choices. So far the "pickling spice" is the in the lead...but Garry's not home yet!
Tomorrow will see me either choosing more samples or getting the paint so that we (I) can get this room completed before the weekend. Go ME!
Having the time off to actually tackle my procrastination projects.
Being motivated to "just do it".
Warm enough out during the day time so that I can leave the windows open while painting.
Finally got some quotes on what it will cost to turn our fireplace wall into a useable feature....shelves and cupboards surrounding the fireplace. May have to be a done the road project as it isn't cheap!
A fabulous day filled with lots of warm fuzzy thoughts swirling around in my mind.
Being so blessed by the Positive Bloggers team.
My thought of the day: when you have something that is becoming more of a gorilla on your back than a small monkey...."just do it". Get it over with and out of the way.
Lots of Hugs,
