Nothing like a bathing suit...

Thursday, April 18, 2013

Ahh, there's nothing like trying on a bathing suit, looking in the mirror and being filled with renewed determination! That sums up my experience yesterday! Thankfully, I have time to continue working on a much better outcome.

A much busier day at work yesterday. We received a big shipment which I will be still working on this morning. Most likely we will have received another shipment after I left yesterday or at the very least today. The week should finish out on a nice busy note.

My Gratefuls:
1. I'm grateful for the renewed determination that I have to continue on this healthy journey. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
2. I'm grateful for the busy day at work yesterday and what is shaping up to being a busy rest of the week. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
3. I'm grateful that we got some rain and not snow overnight. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
4. I'm grateful that I have guidance in my life that is working hard to keep me going in the direction that I wish to go in. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
5. I'm grateful for the joy that our Canadian Icon, Rita McNeil brought into so many lives. She will be greatly missed by many. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
6. I'm grateful for safe travel conditions for Mike, Julie and the wee ones as they travel here this weekend. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
7. I'm grateful for the gift of healing that is taking place in Garry. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
8. I'm grateful for being able to shop for fresh veggies and fruit in my local store. Looking so forward to Farmer's market being up and running once again. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
9. I'm grateful for those that share their "zero waste" and "green ideas" with others, so that we might learn and change our patterns too. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
10. I'm grateful for the ability to adapt, learn and grow. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Have a wonderful day. Hugs.

Yay, it's Hump Day!

Wednesday, April 17, 2013

This has been a long week already at work. It's a slow week for shipments arriving and we also have a practicum student spending time with us this week. Not that that isn't a good thing, it's just when it's slow, it's much more challenging to find work for them to do. Yesterday ended up being a bonus on that front as one of my co-workers had the day off, so I was able to have Cindy do some of Gail's work. On Monday the servers kept crashing, which meant our computers were iffy. We did discover that they think the problem is not our server, but a hacker working from a laptop either within the library itself or just outside but still within our WIFI range. Our techies are working hard to block all access points.

My Thank you's:
1. A huge Thank you to my guidance that lead me to go downstairs to the cold storage room after work and look at where our sump pump is. I noticed some wet where there should be wet. Called Garry as I couldn't lift the cover. Our sump pump had kicked itself out for some reason and we were about to get flooded once again. Thank you, thank you, thank you that we caught things in time.
2. Mike, Julie and the babies will be here this weekend. YAY! Thank you, thank you, thank you.
3. Thank you for the our melting snow and that brightness it brings to my day. I'm so done with winter. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
4. Thank you that I have a nice salad and some watermelon to take for lunch today. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
5. Thank you that Garry has offered to run an errand for me today so that I don't have to rush after work to get it done. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
6. Thank you for the nice chat with Kaeli yesterday. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
7. Thank you for all the "stuff" that I am finding I'm willing to let go in our garage sale this summer. All things that I haven't used in a very long time and it has now just become clutter. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
8. Thank you for the gift of healing for Garry. His gout has kicked in again and has caused some issues. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
9. Thank you for helping me to be very mindful of what I am eating and when. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
10. Thank you for this new day of life. A day to be all that I've been created to be. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Have a great Wednesday. How are you doing with your mindfulness?

Hugs,
Wanda

Glad you caught the issue with the sump pump before it could become a problem. Hope Garry gets over his flare up of gout quickly. Thank you for the encouraging and supportive words you left on my Tues. blog. I'll never understand why people have to use good things to do bad things, hope your techies can do a good job of blocking them out. Can hardly believe we are in the middle of April all ready. We have lovely sun today, rain and thunderstorms are due this evening, I wouldn't mind a good thunderstorm as long as it's not destructive. Enjoy your Wed. evening.

Hugs,
Shirl

Got everything accomplished

Tuesday, April 16, 2013

Yesterday was a busy day for me. Not only did I have work, but I had to make a run to the dental office and have some paperwork signed so that I could fax it off to the surgeon's office. I also had to go to my personal doctor's office to have her sign some papers. Then I met up with my brother and had a quick visit with him, and finally home for the evening.

Work was a bit of a hit and miss yesterday. We were having some serious issues with our server and it kept crashing. Not much done in the way of work as my job relies heavily on being able to access computer programs. Hopefully today all will be restored and I can zoom ahead with what needs to be done.

My Gratefuls:
1. I'm grateful that I was only away from work for an hour yesterday morning for my dental appointment. It fell within the time constraints and I didn't need to put in any overtime to make up the missed time. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
2. I'm grateful that my second appointment of the day was after work and the wait times were not lengthy. All my paper work is done there now too. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
3. I'm grateful for the visit with my brother and that I was able to share with him some information relating to his health. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
4. I'm grateful to have had a good night's sleep last night. Only woke up once during the night. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
5. I'm grateful that we are supposed to have sunshine today and that spring might be in the air. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
6. I'm grateful for my co-workers and the how well we work together. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
7. I'm grateful for waking up this morning and knowing that I have a new day before me. It's my choice for the outcome of my day. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
8. I'm grateful for having healthy food choices to make and that even my snacks are healthy. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
9, I'm grateful for the opportunity to belong to Spark people and receive so much support and encouragement. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
10. I'm grateful for my health. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Have a wonderful day. What are you grateful for??

Hugs,
Wanda

Glad you were able to get those papers signed and didn't have to work OT to make up any time off. Bummer that your server was down.
How nice that you were able to visit with your brother tho... Hope he is doing well. Sitting and driving all the time it not the healthiest job to have. Hope he gets out and walks when he can. (((hugs))) and prayers that your knee is not causing you a lot of pain. Glad you only woke up once... I'm assuming it's from your knee.

Sunshine!

Monday, April 15, 2013

We had some sunshine yesterday, which made the day feel so much better. Started off the day with overcast skies, cold and the threat of more snow and end up with a pretty nice day filled with some sunshine!
Bring on Spring time, I'm more than ready for it.

I have a busy day ahead of me today. Work, as usual, but thrown in there, I also have a quick dental appointment this morning to get some papers signed, this afternoon a medical appointment and then after work, I'm meeting up with my brother for a quick visit as he is on his way through town. Nothing like getting everything over and done with in one day!

My Blessings:
1. I'm blessed that my brother calls when he is going through town and that I am able (usually) to meet up with him. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
2. I'm blessed with a job that I enjoy doing and that I get paid a good wage for doing it. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
3. I'm blessed with health and healing in my life. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
4. I'm blessed to live in a country that medical treatments, dental visits and health care in general are available. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
5. I'm blessed to have internet and all that it allows me to do. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
6. I'm blessed to have the ability to think for myself and to make my own decisions. Thank you, thank you, thank yo.
7. I'm blessed in more ways than I can count to have the children that I have and to have the relationships with them that I do. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
8. I'm blessed to be able to live in a community that supports "green" living. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
9. I love the quiet time that I have in the mornings to just be still within and to start my day off in a positive way. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
10. I love that when I get quiet within and listen, that my inner guidance most often will give me all that I need to get through the day in a way that serves me best. Thank you, thank you. thank you.

Have a wonderful Monday,
Hugs,
Wanda

Overcast and still looking like snow

Sunday, April 14, 2013

Hopefully this weekend is is the last weekend of miserable snowy weather. At least we can hope so. On the plus side of all this snow...it's already showing signs of melting. YAY!

Not much to report today. It's a great day to be alive and sing out thank you's and praises, so that is what I will do. *grin*.

My Thank you list:
1. Thank you that it is not snowing at the moment and although overcast, the weather forecast says we will get sunshine during next week. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
2. Thank you that my household chores are done and I have time to enjoy some relaxation. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
3. Thank you that I was able to snag appointments so quickly at my dentist and doctor's for tomorrow. Two more items that I can check off my to do list. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
4. Thank you that we were able to help Kaeli out yesterday and relief some concern. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
5. Thank you for guidance that arrives in all sorts of interesting ways. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
6. Thank you that I have a yard that I will be able to begin planting a garden in by the end of May. Fresh veggies, what a treat and blessing to be able to grow my own. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
7. Thank you for the ability to dream big and believe that the Law of Attraction will bring things into being. Not always when I want things, but certainly when God's timing is perfect. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
8. Thank you for freedom of choice and that most of my choices now land on the plus side. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
9. Thank you for family and friends and the internet that keeps us connected. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
