It's snow shoveling time again!

Thursday, March 14, 2013

Yikes! I'll be shoveling snow this morning before heading to work. Not what I wanted to see, but at this time of the year it's expected. At least there isn't a big wind that is blowing, so I won't be getting face washed as I shovel *grin*

My Blessings:
1. While Garry's leg was broken, I have been blessed with not having major snow shoveling to do. Between the both of us now we can get it done. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
2. Payday yesterday, bills are all paid and I even have some left over! Thank you, thank you, thank you.
3. Garry has been very busy at work and he's getting back into a routine once again. He's a much happier person. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
4. A nice chat with my SIL last evening. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
5. Work to keep me busy at my work desk today. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
6. I have an extra long weekend coming up next weekend (using up some of my overtime) and then the Easter long weekend the following weekend. Woo Hoo. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
7. I'm still able to do the stairs at work, although slowly, I'm still getting them in rather than the elevator. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
8. I'm blessed with wonderful friends and family that inspire me to keep working on being healthy. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
9. Unconditional love, what an amazing think to have. No matter how cranky or miserable the day, unconditional love sets things right. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
10. I'm blessed with a new day of life and I'm excited to see what the day holds in store of me. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Have a great day
Hugs,
Wanda

It's back to work time...

Wednesday, March 13, 2013

Yesterday was a much needed day of recovery and recharging. Today I am back on track and although did not have as restful a sleep as I would have liked, I'm still ready to head back to work.
It's also Payday and hump day today, things are only going to get better *grin*.

It was good to have the day to myself yesterday and have the time to meditate without any interruptions. I'm enjoying the 21 day meditation challenge and really loved the thought of the day yesterday. "Balance is my true nature". It really resonated within.

My Thank you's:
1. Thank you for a good day yesterday of recharging and restoring my body. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
2. Thank you for the time to make a nice meal for Garry and I and for the time to make a nice apple crisp to boot. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
3. Thank you for Quin's phone call yesterday. He and Sage are doing well and should be home in about a week for a few days. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
4. Thank you for the nice email from my cousin. It's great to keep in touch and share in each others lives. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
5. Thank you for the work that is flowing Garry's way and that he has the stamina to keep up with it. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
6. Thank you for the gifts of healing and health that are so evident in my families lives. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
7. Thank you for the joy in the simply things in life, a smile, a hug, a kind word. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
8. Thank you for Garry's cousin sharing a long ago picture of his dad. It was one we had never seen before. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
9. Thank you that we have food upon our table and fresh water to drink. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
10. Thank you for the opportunity to live in freedom and peace. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Have a blessed and wonderful day.
Hugs,
Wanda

I am slowly surfacing

Tuesday, March 12, 2013

Very rough night last night with my knee. I got up a couple of times to heat up the wheat bag and returned to bed with it, but finally at 4 this morning knew I was going to have to take some medication. I took an extra strength Advil and managed to fall back to sleep before the full affects hit. Roused up when Garry got up for work and right back to sleep again.
Now I am dealing with the after affects. No work for me today.

On the plus side...this is the first time that my knee has been so bad at night.

My Thank you's:
1. Thank you that I have internet and was able to send off a couple of emails at 4 am to let work know that I would not be in. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
2. Thank you for my wheat pad and the warming effects that it has. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
3. Thank you that I was able to fall asleep before the full affects of taking medication hit. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
4.Thank you that the pain is less this morning, now it's just having my body eliminate all the medication affects. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
5. Thank you for the blessing of this day and not having to leave the house. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
6. Thank you for bananas and almond milk to make a lovely smoothie this morning. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
7. Thank you that I will have time to make a nice apple crisp today. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
8. Thank you for being able to join the 21 day meditation challenge. I'm looking forward to today's message. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
9. Thank you for my friends and family and that I will have time today to think of each one of them in prayer. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
10. Thank you for the sunshine coming in my window and the opportunity to enjoy it's healing presence. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Have a great day,
Hugs,
Wanda

Hope that knee gets the surgery it should have soon and then you feel better. I am so immune to medication that I can't imagine being that conked out from Advil, hee hee. Take care and rest today.

Hope that knee feels better. Love the fact that Advil helps so well. I know you do not like having to take medications... but I was on 800 ml of Ibuprofen for many years for pain. It was all I could take. Sure do miss it now. It helps the degenerative & arthritis pain a lot better than what I take now.
And I have a Rice bag that I can sprinkle with a little water & heat up in the microwave. It is great for pain relief as well. I bet your wheat bag is similar. (((hugs))) Hope your day gets better my friend.

A new day

Monday, March 11, 2013

Waking myself up earlier on Saturday and Sunday had the desired effect of making it much easier to get up this morning for work with the time change. I had a pretty decent sleep last night so am ready to face this new day renewed.

Had a great day yesterday with my girls. Both Shy and Kaeli came over to help me haul all the boxes of dolls out from under the crawl space. We got all of them photographed with their authenticity papers and now I just need to put together and ad and place them on Kiijji. The Lord willing, I'll be able to sell them. The unfortunate part is that the value of the dolls have not held and I will likely have to let them go for less than I paid for them. On the positive side, they will no longer be in storage and hidden from view.

My Gratefuls:

1. What a wonderful blessings to have the girls both come over and help me get the dolls all unpacked, photographed and repacked again. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
2. I had a lovely call from my cousin yesterday bringing us up to date on my aunt's condition. Aunt Muriel has been moved into hospice and is being kept as comfortable as possible. Thank you Lord for gathering close to the family. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
3. Lots of wind last night and still happening this morning, but no snow. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
4. I was blessed by reading the book " Miracle for Jen" by Linda Barrick. What an amazing young lady. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
5. By being pro-active this weekend with the time change and actually starting my own personal time clock change on Saturday instead of Sunday, I've managed to make the adjustment to spring ahead an hour much easier on myself. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
6. I got my floors all washed this weekend. So nice to finally get them all done. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
7. Unless something unexpected comes up, I do not have any meetings this week at work. Yay, no long days. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
8. I'm grateful for Garry's willingness to tackle an unpleasant task this week on his own. Bless his heart. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
9. I'm grateful that a Laney and Doug were able to find a new place to live and that their move went well. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
10. I'm very grateful to have been granted a new day of life. I'm excited to see what the day has in store for me and I'm looking forward to being a blessing to those around me. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Have a wonderful day, it's your choice!

Hugs,
Wanda

Have a great day Wanda. I have inherited my mother-in-laws doll collection, but I only really have one that is worth $200. Otherwise, the rest are all of sentimental value. Not ready to let them go though :)

My clock has sprung ahead...as for me, well

Sunday, March 10, 2013

I'm up early this morning in hopes that I will be able to sleep tonight and get up rested tomorrow for work. I could go on and on about why I think changing our clocks is redundant and silly, but that is not going to change anything so I will just find something positive to think on instead *grin*.

My Blessings:
1. Kaeli and I ended up going out for most of the afternoon yesterday to run errands and have some girl time. We will tackle the crawl space later. Thank you for the time together. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
2. I had time in the day to go through some of my books and make a list of titles to forward on to Estelle. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
3. Although my knee is waking me up through the night, I'm at least able to fall back to sleep quickly. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
4. Garry got called to work yesterday and ended up having a very busy and successful afternoon. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
5. I had a wonderful massage with Wendy yesterday morning. It's such a blessing to have her in my life. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
6. Payday is coming up this week, Yay...I like paying my bills as soon as they arrive so that I don't forget about them, this is one of those weeks that I have to wait until payday to pay them all off. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
7. I am blessed to have a great job that I enjoy working at and that treats me very well. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
8. The sun is just beginning to rise and it's casting a red glow through out the room. Very pretty, although if you consider the old adage..."red sky in the morning, sailors take warning". I'm not sure the weather is going to be great *grin*. Thank you for the beauty in the morning. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
9. I have had time to read this weekend and really touched by the book "Miracle for Jen" by Linda Barrick. What an amazing young lady. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
10. How blessed I am to have the life I have. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Be grateful for all that you have and don't have.

Hugs,
Wanda
