Appreciation

Friday, March 08, 2013

I'm always a little surprised that people read my blog. It's not always the same people, but the comments are generally the same. They are grateful for having read it. I guess I'm surprised because my blog is really for my own benefit of starting my day off with a positive note. I'm very touched that others have found uplifting and have been inspired to do the same in their lives.
So to those that do stop by my blog and take away a little something from it, Thank You for blessing my day and for your comments. I want you to know that I do appreciate that you have taken time to read it and to leave encouragement.

I started writing 10 positives each morning as a way of reminding myself just how truly blessed my life is. At first it was difficult to come with 10 things, then as each day passed it became easier and easier. The Law of Attraction at work once again in my life. What I focus on is what the universe brings to me. So the more I focus on being positive and grateful the more that flows into my life. I like the trade off.

My Positives:
1. I am so blessed to know that in some small way my words help someone else on their journey. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
2. I had a nice steady day at work yesterday, not overrun by any means, but enough to keep me busy. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
3. It's Friday once again and I have a lovely weekend to look forward to. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
4. Garry, bless his heart is going to take my parcel that has to been shipped and do it for me today so that I don't have take care of it. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
5. I had a quick chat with my SIL last evening and caught up on family news. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
6. Quin has his dog with him out of town, I can wash all my floors this weekend and have them stay cleaned for longer than a few minutes. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
7. My aunt has been moved to hospice now and is being kept as comfortable as possible. Thank you Lord and angels for surrounded the family with comfortable, peace and strength. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
8. I'm grateful that I have been able to continue to get in as many steps as I have been. I'm looking forward to the surgery that will enable me to have a knee that works well once again. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
9. I would love to say something positive about the time change this weekend so what I will say, is thank you that it happens on a weekend and not during the work week. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
10. I am grateful for this new day of life and I look forward to what the day has in store for me. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Have a blessed and wonderful day too.
Hugs,
Wanda

Moving forward one step at a time.

Thursday, March 07, 2013

Do you ever have those days where you feel like you are either at a stand still or that nothing seems to be changing? Those are the days that I have to work extra hard at being positive and reminding myself that this is not a race, but rather a moving forward one step at a time. Speed is not the fact here, the changing of a lifetime of habits and retraining the body and the brain are what matters. In this age of instant gratification though, it certainly can be a challenged. Not backing away from a challenge seems to be ingrained in me *grin*.

My positives:
1. I am far more mindful of my nutritional intake and water intake than I ever used to be. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
2. The more reading about nutrition, positive attitude, and spiritual health that I do, the more I continue to better understand myself. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
3. It's great to have those days where I feel like I am being challenged at every turn, how else am I supposed to put into practice all the things I have been learning. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
4. I am not alone in my journey and it's great to share my struggles and successes with others on this same path. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
5. The knowledge that when I am struggling, it's because I have gotten derailed in some way from what I am supposed to be doing. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
6. Spring is not that far off now. Even though we are expecting some more snow, it's great to know that we are already most of the way through the winter months. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
7. The daylight is getting longer each day and there is more warmth in the sun. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
8. Only three more weeks until I see the surgeon for a consult. Yay! It's been almost a year now. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
9. Starting my day off each morning finding my gratefulness/positives is such a blessing. It's like armour for the day ahead. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
10. I have been granted a new day of life and I'm open and ready to learn and grow. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Have a wonderful day,
Hugs,
Wanda

A very long day

Wednesday, March 06, 2013

Yesterday was a very long day at work. Not in the amount of hours or because of having to work late due to a monthly meeting, but rather because it was so slow at work and there wasn't much to do. I'm hoping that today will go by much quicker in the work department.

One of Garry's friends at his place of work was told by his doctor that due to his heart condition, he was not to go back to work. Bob had gone in to see his doctor yesterday and was informed that it would be the last day of work for him as his heart was in bad shape. What a shock! Bob will be taking immediate leave and his clients will now be split between Garry and his other co-worker. Lots of adjustments will be taking place. It's a good thing that Garry is able to be back at work full time even though he is still in the air boot and using crutches.

It just proves once again, that life can not be taken for granted and that we need to living healthy.

My Gratefuls:
1. Thank you for the gift of healing that is at work in both Garry and Kaeli's bodies, enabling them to continue to work. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
2. Thank you for Bob going to the doctor before it was too late. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
3. Thank you for providing me with a work filled day today (thanking in advance). Thank you, thank you, thank you.
4. Thank you for the note from Kelly yesterday. I'm grateful that she is keeping me informed about circumstances. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
5. Thank you for the grace, peace and comfort that is surrounding Kelly and her family. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
6. Thank you for children and the joy the see in the world around them. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
7. I'm grateful for the quiet time in I have in the morning to gather my thoughts and prepare for the day. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
8. I'm grateful for my friends and family. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
9. I'm grateful for my BIL, who's birthday we celebrate today. Thank you for Jerry being a part of our lives. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
10. Thank you for giving me so much in my life to be grateful for. There is always a plus side to every occurrence. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Don't take life for granted, live it and enjoy it.
Hugs,
Wanda

What a shocker with Garry's co-worker. Ya just never know. Thank goodness Garry is able to step-up with that bum leg still to take on some of Bob's duties.
Hope your day goes by fast. ((hugs)) and a small thought of splashing... soon I hope. hehehe

I totally understand about the long day. I've had those days for months now :( I absolutely hate it. I'm reading a self-help book right now. If you have any good titles on positiveness, I would really appreciate it. Have a great day!

Happy Tuesday

Tuesday, March 05, 2013

Starting off my day on a winning streak once again. The Spark Wheel has been very good to me this last while *grin*.

Not much to say this morning so I'll just give thanks.

My Thank you's
1. Thank you for a great night's sleep last night. I even had to wake up to the alarm ringing this morning, a rare occurrence. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
2. Garry took me out for dinner last night, such a nice treat. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
3. I had a busy day at work yesterday so the day went by quickly. I'm asking for the more of the same today. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
4. I got in lots of steps yesterday before my knee started to give me problems. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
5. I was mindful yesterday when I stopped at the grocery store and was able to catch the expiration dates on a couple of things I was wanting...they had already expired or were expiring today! Goes to show that you have to read the labels. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
6. I'm very grateful for the sunshine that we are having. Not only is it slowly melting some of the huge snow piles, it just makes me happy. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
7. Thank you for the gift of healing that is working at restoring both Kaeli and Garry to complete health. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Have a good Tuesday. Glad there is healing going on in all of your bodies. I hope to get a better idea of what they think lies ahead for Clenton and his home care when he gets to come home, he can't be there more than 20 days as we can't afford $148 a day for co-pay which would start on day 21, Medicare covers the first 20 days. I just want him home. It sounds like we might just be on the light end of the storm heading this way, that's ok with me, we are suppose to be in the 40's Sat. & Sun. This is the weekend we turn our clocks ahead one hour, I really wish they'd just leave time alone, it doesn't bother so much in the fall, but in the spring it takes me about a week to adjust, oh well. Have a good Tuesday.

Hugs,
Shirl

And it's Monday once again!

Monday, March 04, 2013

I had a nice relaxing weekend for the most part and a couple of good nights sleep. I'm feeling much more rested and able to tackle the work week ahead.

I did some shoveling of snow yesterday and had anticipated having to do more this morning, but the predicted snowfall for overnight failed to materialize. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
We are supposed to get cooler temps, but sunshine for the rest of the week. YES!

My Thankyou's:
1. Thank you for the exercise yesterday with shoveling snow, but thank you also that I don't have to shovel before going to work this morning. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
2. Thank you for time to relax and recharge this past weekend. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
3. Although Garry and I both had to turn down the invitation to go and watch the Brier, it was very thoughtful to have been asked. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
4. Thank you for the gift of healing that is at work in Garry and Kaeli's bodies. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
5. Thank you for our house plans that we have chosen and for the redesigning of the parts that we need to have changed to suit our lives. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
6. Thank you that we only have to dream and believe and have grateful hearts and that the details are not ours to worry over. Thank you, thank you, thank you. The Law of Attraction at work once again in our lives.
7. Thank you for the busy work week ahead and being able to accomplish all that needs to be done. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
8. Thank you for tax programs that help me to do the yearly taxes. I'm almost ready to start on them now. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
9. Thank you for the gift of a new day of life, I'm excited to see what the day has in store for me. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
10. Thank you for helping me to maintain a positive attitude and for surrounding me with people that are positive also. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Have a wonderful day,
Hugs,
Wanda

Wanda, you know I'd be rejoicing if the predicted sn*w didn't fall...That calls for a party in my world. :)

Glad you got some time to rest. My weekend was spent with John's family so Monday came too quickly for me and it's a really busy work week.

Hugs and blessings...

Thank YOU for being thankful. I try to be thankful everyday. Sometimes I do, sometimes I forget. I think we all forget just how wonderful and precious life is and to be thankful. I have a blessed life and I am so grateful. Your blog is so unusual, because the ones I usually read only talk about failures and disappointments, which is fine. But, sometimes I want to shake people and say "You are alive!! You have another chance/choice!!" Anyway, thank you for the reminder. Have a wonderful day! HUGS!!
