Friday, Friday...YAY!

Friday, February 22, 2013

My favorite day of the week, it's both a beginning and end. Beginning of a weekend and the end of a work week.

Garry is so much happier now that he is back to work his regular hours. He feels like he is actually doing something rather than just sitting.
We are supposed to have some plus side temperatures today and instead of more snow, we are supposed to get some rain! Rain in February???

I'm looking forward to the weekend. Going out to buy a baby gift for the newest member of our family. I haven't been shopping for baby things in a long while. This will be fun.

My Thank you's:
1. Thank you for the quick results for Kaeli's x-rays...she needs to go back for a more conclusive set as the radiologist has found what appears to be a fracture in her lower back. Thank you for the diligence of the radiologist. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
2. Thank you for the nice long chat with my SIL yesterday, it was a pleasurable chat. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
3. Thank you for the upcoming weekend, so looking forward to some down time. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
4. Thank you for gift of healing that is taking place in Kaeli and Garry's bodies. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
5. Thank you for the mobility that I have and that I have been able to keep up my walking through out the day. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
6. Thank you for the gift of learning that is ongoing in my life. I am evolving into the person that I desire to be. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
7. Thank you for the internet that allows us to communicate with family and keep up to date with family happenings. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
8. Thank you for peace and compassion that is surrounding my aunt and her family. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
9. Thank you for the ability to trust that all will be well as we face the challenges that have invaded our new year. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
10. Thank you for the gift of a new day of life. I am opening to receiving, learning and growing. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Sunshine, rain, snow and wind!

Thursday, February 21, 2013

The adage in Alberta is "if you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes". It's so true, we have been having a bit of everything. We go from wind and snow to rain and sunshine and then back again all within the same time period.
It's crazy. A person has no idea how to dress! On the plus side...life is not dull. *grin*

Garry was such a happy camper yesterday. He has more mobility now that he can put a bit of pressure on his leg. Shouldn't be long now before our lives are back on a more even keel.

My Thank you's:
1. Thank you for the good day at work yesterday, we are hopeful that a work issue has been resolved. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
2. Thank you for the added benefit of being able to claim back all the premiums that I have paid out last year for my medical coverage. We found out that we can claim them back using our one of our benefits at work. Yay. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
3. Thank you for the gift of healing taking place in Garry and Kaeli's bodies. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
4. Thank you for no snow shoveling this morning. The bit that we got the wind has blown off the driveway once again. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
5. Thank you for being able to stay away from sugar, dairy and wheat to the best of my ability. I can now add the odd bit of dairy back in once or twice a week.Thank you, thank you, thank you.
6. Thank you for busy days at work that help to make the work day fly by. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
7. Thank you that I work at a library and always have access to reading material. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
8. Thank you for my dishwasher that so conveniently does the my dishes while I do something else. So blessed. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
9. Thank you for family and friends, they are such a blessing in my life. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
10. Thank you for the gift of a new day of life, I look forward to the opportunities that this day holds for me. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Have a blessed and wonderful day,
Hugs,
Wanda

Yay, it's Hump Day!

Wednesday, February 20, 2013

This work week is half over already...with the amount of working at my desk, the rest of the week should go by pretty fast too!.

Great results at the Garry's Orthopedic Specialist yesterday. No surgery is required and he can start put a bit of weight on his leg now. He still needs to use his crutches and must continue to wear the air boot when he is moving around. But the doctor thinks that he can start leaving it off more now when he is sitting. He should be able to start driving in a few days if he is having no pain from applying pressure on his leg. Garry is one happy camper!

My Gratefuls:
1. I am grateful that I have a job that allows me to take the necessary time off to get family to their medical appointments. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
2. I am grateful for the gift of healing that is at work in Garry's body and that he will not require surgery. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
3. I am grateful for technology that enables doctors to access medical needs. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
4. I am grateful for no snow over night and I won't have to shovel this morning. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
5. I am grateful for a much better sleep last night so that I can function better today. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
6. I am grateful for fresh water to drink as well as to make my cinnamon tea! Thank you, thank you, thank you.
7. I am grateful for the lessons that come my way each day that helps me to practice patience, tolerance, compassion and especially my faith. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
8. I am grateful for the sunshine each time it makes an appearance. How it brightens peoples moods. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
9. I am grateful for our safe trip and back from the city yesterday on icy roads. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
10. I am grateful for having a place that I can go each morning and list my thank you's as a reminder of how blessed my life is. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Have a wonderful day. Make the choice to have a positive attitude.

Hugs,
Wanda

Where did my weekend go??? Three days felt like such a nice long weekend, yet it seemed to go by so fast.

Today I will leave work a bit early so that I can get Garry to his specialist appointment. I'm hoping that he will not be disappointed in the what the doctor has to say. I don't think that he is going to need to have surgery, but I also don't think that he is going to be getting the air boot off and be able to drive as of today either. Poor Garry, he is so tired of all his limitations.

I didn't get a very restful sleep last night. Garry's uncle was here for the night and although a great guest, it's having other sounds during the night that kept rousing me up. Someone else's snoring, the dog was restless as she was hyper alert to all the different sounds too. I'm already looking forward to going to sleep tonight. *grin*.

My Thank you's.
1. Thank you that although we had some snow during the night, the wind has pretty much taken care of any shoveling that I would have had to do this morning. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
2. Thank you for Garry's uncle stopping in to see us and spend the night. We always enjoy getting together with him. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
3. Thank you for the girls visit and being able to join us for supper last night. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
4. Thank you that I had the foresight to blend up a smoothie for my breakfast last night before going to bed. It was nice to reach into the fridge this morning and have it all ready. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
5. Thank you that Garry sees the specialist today and will have good results. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
6. Thank you for a short work week. I love my job, but I love my weekends too *grin* Thank you, thank you, thank you.
7. Thank you for all our needs being met and even some of our wants. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
8. Thank you for the gift of faith and the renewing of it each day as well as building on what is there. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
9. Thank you for friends and family that enrich our lives. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
10. Thank you for another day of life and the opportunity to be all that God has created me to be. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Have a great day, it's your choice!

Hugs,
Wanda

I'm with you and am a very light sleeper. When we have company and they move around at night all three of our dogs get to barking. Takes them about 3 days to finally get used to them being there. hehehe Good Luck to Garry today. Hope he gets some good news. Thank you for sharing... ((hugs))

Happy Monday!

Monday, February 18, 2013

It's Family day in my province today. Supposed to be a day off that families can be together and doing family activities. In theory, it's a great idea...but some people still have to work and my hubby is one of them.
Really, for many it's just a great excuse to have a long weekend in February!

Not much on my agenda today. Take Garry to work, come home and make up some meals to carry us through the work week and relax with the dog.

My Thank you list:
1. Thank you for this three day weekend, although I'm up early this morning, I have had two mornings of being able to sleep in. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
2. Thank you for being able to meet up with my truck driving brother yesterday and sharing a quick visit with him as he traveled through town. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
3. Thank you for the opportunity to touch base with Quin yesterday also. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
4. Thank you that I have had some reading time during the past couple of days. It's so nice to sit down with a book and relax. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
5. Thank you for my family and the love we share. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
6. Thank you for all that we have as well as for all that we don't have. We are blessed. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
7. Thank you that Garry's leg is healing and he sees the specialist tomorrow for further advice. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
8. Thank you that the snow that fell yesterday was manageable for me to shovel. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
9. Thank you for the ability to see, hear and move my body freely. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
10. Thank you for the new life that has joined our family circle. What a joy Elizabeth Ann will be to Julie and Mike. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Have a wonderful day, take the time to be grateful for all your blessings.

Hugs,
Wanda
