Today is going to be a Marvelous Day!

Tuesday, February 12, 2013

I had a restless night filled with very odd dreams about all sorts of things. Probably due to feeling a bit stressed about my appointment today.
I have taken today off work so that I don't have to worry about any schedule other than getting to my appointment on time.
I have lots of questions written down that I want to ask the specialist and I'm trying very hard to leave everything in God's control. Last night is the first time that my knee has given me so much grief during the night. It seemed like every time I turned over I caused it to start throbbing. Perhaps it has done it before, I've just never noticed because I was actually sleeping!
I'm praying for and claiming a positive outcome today and that the surgery will be scheduled quickly.

Had a voice message from my Aunt's husband yesterday to let me know that Aunt Muriel is going to be hospitalized for some time, she is out of immediate danger, but they are very concerned about her rapid deterioration. We played telephone tag, as he had already gone to the hospital to visit her when I got the message. He called again last night after I had gone to bed and Garry talked with him for a bit. I'll try and touch base with him again today.

Still waiting to hear when the funeral is going to be for my uncle that passed away on Friday. As it will be in BC, I'm not sure if we will be able to go as roads through the mountain passes at this time of year are not always good. Flying is rather expensive, but we will see.

My Gratefuls:
1. I'm grateful to have heard directly from Uncle Lyle yesterday about Aunt Muriel. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
2. I'm grateful to have today off work so that I only have one schedule to content with. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
3. I'm grateful that today is the day I see my specialist again and hopefully get some answers to questions that I have. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
4. I'm grateful that the snow that was supposed to occur last night didn't. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
5. I'm grateful that Garry was able to put in a whole day at work yesterday and that he was able to cope with the discomfort of his leg. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
6. I'm grateful for the trials that we are going through as they have given us new eyes about situations. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
7. I'm grateful that we are blessed to have all our needs met and even some of our wants. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
8. I'm grateful that I have been working towards a healthier me and that I've been able to do good with the staying on track. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
9. I'm grateful that I am already set up to work from home on a "need to" basis, so that when I do have my surgery, I will be able to have a moderated work schedule from home. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
10. I am grateful for this new day of life and look forward to all the opportunities that lie before me. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Have a blessed and wonderful day,
Hugs,
Wanda

One more day...

Monday, February 11, 2013

One more day until I see my specialist and my surgery date is requested. I will be so glad to get this over with.
2013 so far for our family has gotten off to a rocky start! My goodness, all I can say is there must be a Universal shift occurring. Thank you angels, guides and Ascended Masters for surrounding us and keeping us assured that all will be well. There are so many occurrences that about all we can do is find the humor within them, pull up the memories and keep on moving forward without asking "what next?".
1. Garry broke his leg 2. It's been confirmed that I need a complete knee replacement as well as ligament repair 3. Kaeli has slipped and fallen down on three separate occasions now (one being just yesterday at the movie theatre, slipping on a wet floor) 4. Shyra had an attack of ileitis, something she hasn't had occurring for several years.5. My Aunt is hospitalized and prognosis is unsure and just this weekend, 6. My uncle had a massive heart attack and passed away. And this is only February! Okay, I know is sounds all negative, but really we are still smiling and have our sense of humor about us. It's life and it's all happening at once!
We are feeling a bit like cartoon characters with those little clouds over their heads, only we know in our spirits that God is in control and that everything will be fine. (This explains why for the past 3 or 4 months I have been seeing the same triple numbers (333, 444 ) all assurances.) Yesterday I kept seeing 222, so looked up the meaning on that one. It's good:
222: New Cycle, the beginning of a new cycle, the nature of which depends on the next triple number you see.
222: (Doreen Virture) Have faith, everything's going to be all right. Don't worry about anything, as this situation is resolving itself beautifully for everyone involved.

Life is certainly interesting!

My Gratefuls:
1. I am grateful that the knowledge of my Ascended Masters, guides and angels surrounding me has prepared me to have faith, calm and patience. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
2. I am grateful for the wonderful memories that I have of my Uncle Ken and the assurance that his life mission is complete and God has called him home. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
3. I am grateful for Kaeli's injuries not being more serious. May the gift of healing be at work within her body. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
4. I am grateful that Shy's attack of ileitis has passed. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
5. I am grateful for the family time we had together yesterday with all three of the kids. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
6. I am grateful for the time off over the weekend to gather strength and recharge. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
7. I am grateful that God cares and that my faith is strong. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
8. I am grateful for the internet that keeps all my family connected to each other. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
9. I am grateful for a new day of life and am open to all the experiences that this day will bring knowing that I am surrounded by my guides, angels and Ascended Masters. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
10. I am grateful for my troubles and cares as they teach me so much about my world and myself. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Have a blessed and wonderful day,
Hugs,
Wanda

Serenity Sunday Feb 10

Sunday, February 10, 2013

It's great to have a sleep in and wake up to actual daylight! I'm so used to getting up when it is still dark outside, waking up to daylight is a treat!

I managed to get my kitchen floor washed yesterday, my knee is not liking it so much today, but I'm loving that my floor is clean. No puppy foot prints minutes after it's been cleaned. Got all my laundry done and some cleaning done upstairs.

Yesterday we did a couple of errands that involved running around in the car. We stopped and picked up a "home plans" book from our local Home Hardware store. We are contemplating the possible purchase of some land about an hour away from here at Gull Lake. We would have 5 years to build on the property, which would work out well for our plans. Just one of the ideas running through our minds. We have always said that when we retire, we would love to live at the lake. Retirement seems a very long way down the road, but this opportunity might just be an option. We are waiting until spring to go and have a good look around. Not much sense doing it now with all this snow and with Garry on crutches.

My Gratefuls:
1. I'm grateful for my clean kitchen floors and that they have lasted more than a few minutes. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
2. I'm grateful for the opportunity to work towards one of our long term goals. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
3. I'm grateful for daylight when I woke up this morning. Such a treat. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
4. I'm grateful for Garry's new benefit plan at work, with the company takeover, we weren't sure how much things would change with the benefit plan. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
5. I'm grateful for having only a brief snowfall yesterday and then sunshine that melted it all. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
6. I'm grateful for my swifter that has been helping to capture all of Sage's hair. Even though she has been gone for 2 days, I'm still finding her hair! Thank you, thank you, thank you.
7. I'm grateful that Quin trusts leaving Sage with us when he works out of town, she really is a good dog and great company. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
8. I'm grateful that my specialist appointment is almost here...bring on Tuesday. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
9. I'm grateful for my massage therapist and her beautiful heart. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
10. I'm grateful that my life mission is not yet complete and that I have more growth and learning to do. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Have a wonderful and thankful day,
Hugs

Wonderful list of gratefuls! Thanks for starting Serenity Sunday off this morning, I got an early call to see if I could be to church by 9 to help with making the soup, two of the ladies that were supposed to were sick, so Judy, her DH and myself were the kitchen crew, soup got done in time and there wasn't much left, so all was well. I need to run the sweeper tomorrow to get up the cat litter Mario scatters and his hair, he's not a real bad shredder. Praying all goes well for you on Tues. Had some good news on Dale in Florida, he's receiving radiation and may not have to have surgery. Hope your aunt continues to improve. Tomorrow night I get to give the ladies the Valentine owls I made for them, plus I printed up the directions to give them also. I hope your week goes well.

Hugs,
Shirl

Sleep does a body good!

Saturday, February 09, 2013

I came home from work yesterday and had about a 20 minutes nap until the phone rang. Ended up talking on the phone and so didn't get back to napping. I did get to bed by just after 9pm though and slept until almost 7:30 this morning. Ahhhh sleep.

Today's agenda includes the usual weekend chores, cleaning and laundry and then checking on Shyra to make sure she is doing ok, then a blank agenda. Quin has his dog with him once again, so we are free of Sage for a few days. She is a good girl, but it will be nice to not have dog hair everywhere.

My Gratefuls:
1. Sleep, boy did need some extra hours of it. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
2. No dog to be concerned about for a week. We love her dearly, but it's nice to not have to worry about her. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
3. I'm grateful that it is the weekend and I have two days off work. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
4. I am grateful to be able to go and see my massage therapist today, it's been awhile since I have been able to go. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
5. I had a nice long chat with Kaeli on the phone yesterday, it was nice to catch up on each others week. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
6. My Aunt is out of critical care now and is able to have visitors. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
7. I am grateful that my experiences can be used to help someone else. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
8. Although we have lots of wind this morning, there is no snow falling. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
9. Garry has been able to put in more hours this week at work. His leg is mending. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
10. I'm grateful for all the opportunities that come my way each day to grow and learn. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Have a great Saturday...remember to laugh.

Hugs,
Wanda

I bet Kismet is not missing Sage, lol. Got to love our pets, they keep us entertained and sometimes awake. Mario was better last night, he needs to learn we don't prowl at night, we sleep or try to, lol. Enjoy your massage. Hope Shyra is doing better today. Glad your aunt has improved and can now have visitors. Enjoy your weekend. Praying our East coast team mates are staying safe and warm.

Hugs,
Shirl

Tired this morning...need some energy!

Friday, February 08, 2013

It was a night of not enough sleep for me last night. I almost slept through my alarm!
Quin phoned to say that he would be home around 11pm as he had some days off and would pick up the dog. Needless to say when he did get here, we were all excited to see him, especially Sage. It was too funny watching her almost turn herself inside out to see him. He only stayed a few minutes as he knew it was late for me. By the time I got back to sleep I only managed about 5 hours for the whole night. On the plus side, it's Friday!

My Gratefuls:
1. Quin's safe travel home from out of town last evening. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
2. Seeing Sage's unconditional love for Quin and how excited she was to see him. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
3. It's Friday! When I come come from work today, I will have a weekend to look forward to and I can have a nap if need be. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
4. It's been very nice to spend evening with Garry, usually he is still at work when I have to head for bed. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
5. No added snow this morning. Yay! Thank you, thank you, thank you.
6. I'm grateful for the gift card that allowed Garry and I to go out for an early supper last evening. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
7. I'm grateful that I have been able to take next Tuesday off work so that I don't have to worry about time schedules other than my specialists. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
8. I'm grateful for all the prayers on behalf of my Aunt and her family. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
9. Tomorrow is my monthly massage day. I didn't get to go in January, so really looking forward to tomorrow's. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
10. I'm grateful for the blessing of good health in both Garry and I. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Have a wonderful Friday....what are your gratefuls today?

Hugs,
Wanda

Hope you get an extra restful night. I think Mario slept too much yesterday and he had me awake off an on from 4 a.m. We are not going to the chili cook off as I am not feeling good, I laid down hoping I'd feel better when I got up, but didn't, oh well. It's suppose to go down to 2 tonight, glad the wind isn't blowing. Enjoy your weekend.

Hugs,
Shirl
