From a nice relaxing weekend to a busy work week ahead

Monday, November 19, 2012

I greatly enjoyed my nice relaxing weekend, my schedule and my time. Now I'm ready to face another busy week at work.

We had a bit of snow yesterday, but it didn't last for long and is all shoveled away. We were supposed to meet up with family for dinner, but poor Garry woke up yesterday with a bad chest cold, so we bailed on the family. On the plus side, we will get together with them at Christmas time.

My list of gratefuls:
1. I'm grateful that it wasn't a bit snow storm yesterday and was something that I could handle on my own. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
2. Save-on Foods had a great sale on baking supplies yesterday and I was able to get there and pick up some things. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
3. My girls and I are getting together at the end of the month for a baking spree. Thank you, thank you, thank you for some fun time ahead.
4. Quin is going to go with Garry to Saskatchewan at the end of the month. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
5. My MRI is this Wednesday. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
6. I am grateful that I am able to connect to the internet and research things as well as stay in touch with friends and family. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
7. I am grateful for the gift of healing that is mending and restoring my body and restoring Garry to excellent health. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
8. I am grateful that I have a job to go to that I enjoy doing. Thank you, thank you, thank you,
9. I am grateful for this gift of another day of life. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
10. I am grateful that I live in a country that is being bombed or is bombing someone else. Thank you, thank you. Thank you.

Have a wonderful day. Count your blessings.
Hugs,
Wanda

One more day to relax or just do what I want in. Love the weekends for all the opportunities they provide me.

Yesterday was a great day. Went to the bank first thing in the morning and got an issue with an automatic withdrawal resolved. Found out that I'm now at the age that the bank no longer charges me fees on my bank account....woo hoo! That's all set up now. Ran some other errands and then Garry and I headed out to Homesense to pick up a couple of inexpensive carpets for in front of the kitchen and front doors. We ended up picking up a couple of Christmas items also.

Now that Quin has a dog that loves to come and visit and it's winter, having a small carpet in front of the kitchen door we hope will help when Sage comes in with snow on her feet.

Garry made some head way in getting his outside Christmas decorating done. He has decided that he is going to get a couple of Christmas trees and decorate them with lights and place them on the front deck on either side of the big window. We will have the indoor Christmas tree in the center of the window. I will take a picture and post it when it's all done. Should look very bright and merry.

My blessings:
1. I am blessed to these past two days off work so that I can be on my own schedule and get things done at home. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
2. I am blessed to have reached my age where I am now considered a "senior" and take advantage of some awesome savings. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
3. I am blessed to have a hubby who loves to decorate for Christmas outside and is willing to work so hard at making it look great. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
4. I am blessed to have the internet and all that it provides for Christmas ideas and recipes. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
5. I am blessed to go out for dinner tonight with Garry's aunt and uncle who will be in town for a concert. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
6. I am blessed to have kefir water and milk that help me to stay strong in my immunity system. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
7. I am blessed to have wonderful adult children who we have an awesome relationship with. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
8. I am blessed to have eyesight that enables me to see the beauty of life around me. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
9. I am blessed to have a warm and reliable vehicle to get me where I need to go and back again. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
10. I am blessed to have a husband who is on the same page as me in so many ways, and the ways that we differ, we find a compromise. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Have a wonderfully blessed day,
Hugs,
Wanda

Yay, it's Friday!

Friday, November 16, 2012

I had a lovely birthday yesterday. Lots of good wishes from friends and family and a lovely dinner out with my hubby and kids.

So glad that today is Friday and the last work day of the week for me. I managed to pick up a bit of a sinus issue and it is really fighting for control. I'm downing lots of extra kefir water to try and combat it and I think we might be at a stalemate! Depending on how busy I am at work today, I just might try and get away early. I'm thinking that some rest might be in order, seeing as I didn't sleep that well last night.

On the plus side:

1. I had a lovely Happy Birthday greeting from my eldest brother, who rarely remembers to say anything. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
2. A nice phone call from my other brother. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
3. Lots of greetings from friends, they mean so much. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
4. My girls picked up a gluten-free cheesecake for my birthday, which was very delicious. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
5. A lovely dinner out last night with hubby and kids. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
6. A visit from Afton. It was so nice of her to stop by and to catch up on all her news. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
7. It's Friday and I have a weekend before me. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
8. The Lord has seen fit to grant me another day of life, now it's my job to make it the best day possible. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
9. I am staying on track and managing to stay away from all the goodies at work. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
10. I am making progress on my Christmas list. Thank you, thank you. thank you.

Have a wonderful day,
hugs,
Wanda

It is going to be a great day....because I said so!

Almost the end of a work week. It's whizzed by so fast that I haven't even had time to blink.
We got two large shipments of materials in yesterday for the library that we are still working out way through.
Love when the new books arrive. It's fun to see them and have an opportunity to put some of them on hold for myself. For someone who loves to read like me, this is like all the holidays rolled into one!

I am going out to dinner tonight with my family. We don't usually go out during the week, but we are celebrating my birthday tonight. With luck Quin will be able to finish work and make it back into town in time to join us for dinner. If he can't, he will at least join us at home for a bit.

We have had Sage yesterday and today, as he wasn't able to take her on this job with him. She is so funny. Loves us to bits, but is missing her master something fierce. She flops down on her bed with these great big sighs, then gets up and goes to the door waiting for Quin to come. Poor baby.

My Blessings:
1. That the Lord has seen fit to allow me to be on this earth as long as I have. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
2. Sage, who shows you unconditionally how much she loves you. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
3. My family who are such blessings to me and create in me a wonder of how blessed I am. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
4. Friends that mean so much to me, yes even my online friends. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
5. Although I am not where I had hoped I would be in my journey to health, I'm still further along than I was. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
6. Kismet and Sage managed a whole day in the house together without humans, both were unharmed when I got home from work. We will try this again today! Thank you, thank you, thank you.
7. The beautiful night displays of the northern lights that are created. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
8. The gift of peace and calm . Thank you, thank you, thank you.
9. The gift of healing that is mending and restoring my body to perfect health. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
10. No snow shoveling today....YAY. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Have a wonderful day,
Hugs,
Wanda

Happy Hump day.

Wednesday, November 14, 2012

This week is just zipping by. It's Hump day once again and now we will be on the down side of the work week tomorrow.

I made it to the hairdresser's yesterday and am now sporting a much shorter hairdo! I can't believe how fast my hair grows. I had to wait a bit longer between haircuts this last time due to being unable to sit for any length of time so that probably accounts for a bit more of the hair growth.
My tail bone seems to mended. At least I can sit now with out difficulty and walking and bending are fine. If I sit down too quickly or hard, I still get a jolt, but other than that it's good.

Not much happening on my home front other than the usual everyday things.

My Positives:

1. My tail bone appears to be mended and for that I am grateful. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
2. I am sporting a much tidier and shorter hair do, so much easier to take care of. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
3. No snow to shovel this morning. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
4. I can now park my vehicle in the garage this winter, no windows to scrape. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
5. Having my MRI appt rescheduled to Nov 21 gets me out of having to go to Calgary on a buying trip. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
6. My kefir water is helping to keep my body healthy. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
7. Kaeli tells me that she is definitely seeing positive results with her asthma and drinking the kefir milk. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
8. We have a family get together on Thursday evening to enjoy. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
9. I am blessed with a new day to continue to improve in. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
10. I am blessed with friends and family that love me. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Have a wonderful day,
Hugs,
Wanda
