Happy February 1st!

Wednesday, February 01, 2012

A new month lies ahead...more opportunities to become healthier.
As I look back on January, I am pleased with my exercise increase with steps. I am moving my body more. Now I need to add in a better watch on my calorie intake and continue to work on increasing my water intake. I never used to have a problem with drinking all my water, but for the past few months, it's been difficult as I've just not been thirsty! My goals for February are to increase my water and start tracking more closely my nutrition. I will keep on working on increasing my steps as I do my virtual walk.

My positives:

The memory book at work is almost finished. Just waiting for a final rough draft to be complete so that we can go through it and determine if it is exactly how we want it. YAY.
January was a good month of walking.
Payday today.
Half way through the work week...YAY.
Prayers that are answered.
A new day of life...can't get better than that.

Have a wonderful day,

Great goals for February Wanda. Winter may be hard to get the water down, so true some decaffeinated green tea which can also be counted as your water. Have a great day! Woohoo, for hump day and PAY DAY!!!!

The pressure is on...

Tuesday, January 31, 2012

The pressure is on. I just found out yesterday that the deadline for having the Memory book completed has advanced! My co-partner is away for the next couple of days due to a family emergency and I need to get this project completed by the end of the day today! Yikes. Spent 3 hours in meetings yesterday with the book and when I go in this morning...I have to track down a couple of elusive pieces. I am trusting the everything that I need can be located on Louise's computer easily. On the plus side, I'm used to deadlines and can prioritize well.

I was aiming for 9500 steps yesterday and fell short. I did get 9193 steps in though. If it wasn't for the meetings, I would have made it. Siggggghhhh!

My positives:
I work well under deadlines.
Another co-worker was kind enough to give me assistance yesterday with some pieces that were beyond what I knew.
I did well with my steps despite having to be in meetings. Thought about doing some pacing and counting those steps while in the meeting, but then I would have had to do some explaining *grin*
Beautiful weather.
Blessed with health.
Faith and trust that all things will work out well. (the Memory book, living accommodations for the girls, Louise's family emergency, getting my steps in, a friends work situation)
So grateful that I have a believe system that sustains me.

Have a great and wonderful day.

Hi there. This here computer is wired up and ready to go. (I state with trepidation). We wiped out the hard drive to start over and the internet providing technician came today because we weren't getting connected, so. . . (fingers crossed) things should be just about back to normal. I've missed my positive influences, but I've been working on my healthy lifestyle right along. Happy February. Hope to have a closer journey this month. (God willing and the creek don't rise. Or more like "God willing and the computer don't die) See you around. Looking forward to getting caught up.

I don't doubt all will get done, you are efficient and well organized and know what you are doing. Great job on the steps. I wonder what they would have thought if you'd gotten up and walked around the room, lol. Praying all will work out for your co-worker and your girls living arrangements and getting the project done.

Oh, Wanda, during last year's ShapeUp RI competition, people in our internal meetings walked around the conference room...It was such a funny sight to see. Every now & then someone would stand and walk a few times, then sit. A few minutes later someone else did. Should have filmed it for youtube! :)

Congrats on getting THAT many steps in giving any meeting!

Praying all works out...and it will exactly as it should.

Hugs & blessings.

Those darn meetings and having to sit through them, LOL. Wonder if they would have wondered what you were doing if you walked around the room, hee hee. You will make the deadline as you are very well organized. Have a great day!

A new week...

Monday, January 30, 2012

I waffled with myself yesterday as to whether or not I would continue with my self imposed challenged this week or not. Decided that if I could do it once, then there really wasn't anything stopping me from continuing to do it, except myself! Not a good enough excuse! The outcome of my inner debate...I will continue to put in a minimum of 9000 steps a day!

This month is almost to an end. Wednesday we are already into February. It is shaping up to being a busy first couple of weeks. We have the 35th Anniversary stuff happening at work on Feb 14th, which means getting the memory book completed and lots of meetings. I have a dental appointment on Thursday also, just to make things wonderful! *grin*

My positives:
A great evening last night with the girls. Garry got to chat with Quin last night on the phone and he has a great birthday weekend.,
I had a successful week of maintaining a minimum of 9000 steps a day for the week.
I am determined to get my water intake back up where it should be this week.
I will continue to challenge myself.
I am blessed with life and want to honor that gift.

Have a great and wonderful day,

Jan 29

Sunday, January 29, 2012

I had trouble sleeping last night for some reason. Tossed and turned and aches and pains that were not being helpful in allowing me to go to sleep. Finally had to take a tylenol, which has now left me feeling groggy this morning. Medication and I don't mix well together.

It has been a great week for getting my steps in. I managed to surpass 9000 steps each day. Now I'm thinking if I could do that once, I've obviously set a new bar for mysef! Oh boy.

The girls are coming over for dinner tonight and to spend the evening. We are going to talk about some options that we might see if we can pursue in regards to finding them a new place to live. Rents are incredibly high here, which means they might have to look at moving out of the Park and commuting to work. I would hate to see that happen as winter driving on some of those roads is not nice. I need to leave it in the Lord's hands to present the best option. I'm a firm believer in the fact that when one door closes there is always another that opens.

My positives:
All the new baseboards are installed, now I can move things back into the family room today.
A great week of getting my steps in.
Although I had a poor night's sleep last night, perhaps tonight will be better.
Trusting that God has a better plan for the girls living accommodations.
The girls are coming over today.
Spring like temperatures predicted for all next week.
Blessed with family and friends and life.

Have a wonderful Serenity Sunday,

May you be blessed with a restful night. Enjoy your time with family this evening. It looks like someone is plucking a goose outside, big snowflakes coming down and a winter advisory, so no movie today. My sis is coming back down in a couple of weeks so us girls will try and get together then. Enjoy what's left of your weekend.

Time to get things organized

Saturday, January 28, 2012

Now that the new floors are in the family room and Garry will be getting all the new baseboards installed, it is time to put back in the room only those things that need to be there. The rest will find a new home! I love clearing a room out completely and then putting back on what needs to be in it. The left overs find new homes, and usually not mine!

It's Garry's birthday today. I'm hoping that I can persuade him to take some time off working on his projects and just do some relaxing, but with him, who knows.

Time to get some groceries in the house too. I haven't been to the store for a couple of weeks now and fresh fruit and veggies are low supply. The girls are coming over tomorrow for dinner, so I need some things to pull it all together.

Prayers for my girls to find a new place to live are needed. Their landlord has decided to sell their place. Even if someone else buys it as a rental property, their rent will most likely increase drastically. They can always move back home, but that is not something they want to do. Rents around here are extremely high. We are trying to figure out if it's possible to buy someplace...it would mean pulling out all the monies from the RRSP's and paying the tax on it, but have to look into all of the first. We all need direction at the moment.

My positives:
It's the weekend.
Time is on my side for going and getting groceries.
I am determined to get my steps in today and hit the 9000 mark so that I can claim the whole week as a 9000+ week!
It's Garry's birthday, how blessed I am to have him in my life.
God in my life to lean on.

Have a great and wonderful day.
