A good first day back at work. Lots of work to do, my in basket might see the light of day by next week! I have a large priority order that needs to be placed as our Bookmobile has a special program happening in March. This means that titles have to be ordered, received and processed by the time the program starts. There are about 400 titles in all to order, but total number of items will be about 2400 to be received and processed, as they will be visiting several rural schools and need multiple copies of each title.
Manually counting my steps was a bit more challenging at work than at home, only because it seemed that right in the middle of a count, someone would greet you or stop to talk to you. I found shifting gears so rapidly a big challenge. I finally resorted to carrying a pen and paper with me! I did better on my steps than I thought I would. There are more steps in my day than I realized, considering that I have a desk job! I still managed to do 8025 steps that I actually counted. I'm thinking that today, I will do a count of exact steps to and from common locations, record them, and then just record that amount each time I have to go there, rather than counting each time. It might vary one way or another by a few steps each time depending on circumstances, but it should be pretty accurate. I am encouraged to see that I actually do more steps in my day at work than I originally thought.
I'm feeling very positive about my virtual walk. Even if something should occur where I don't get the usual number of steps in on a particular day, I feel like I have been making progress.
Another week of beautiful weather has been forecasted. 30 temperature records were broken yesterday across our province. We registered plus 11.9 here! I'm so loving this winter. Sorry Eastern Canada....I know you have been in the deep freeze!
I stayed on track with my nutrition, water drinking and exercise yesterday despite all the array of goodies still being offered at work! I love that I sit on the opposite side of the room to where they are always on display. Sort of out of sight, out of mind.
Blessed with another day of living...determined to make it the best day yet!
Have a wonderful day,
