This is the weirdest weather!

We have gone from shoveling snow and minus 29 temperatures to this morning...it is plus 7, snow is melting and almost gone with the winds that have been blowing all night. It is the end of November and this weather is very unusual!

It this was winter, I wouldn't even complain, but you just know that with it not being normal...something is going to happen!

I had a good day yesterday. Went for my massage and then Garry took the truck to get it all cleaned up. The girls came and picked me up and we headed to the Greenlands to look at all their decorated Christmas trees and plants. I was able to pick up some ornaments very inexpensively. Adding some "new" color theme items to my collection. I love going with different color themes from year to year. The new color that I am working on building is Turquoise and purple. I usually attempt to build colors around what coordinates with the colors that I already have so I can build slowly to what I want to have. I also usually buy my new colors after Christmas when things are on sale, unless it is an unusual item like yesterday's purchases are.
We stopped at the grocery store so I could pick up my baking supplies and today that is what is on my agenda.
The guy that was interested in the truck came and took it for a test drive, said he had one more truck to look at and would let us know. If it sells, it sells, and if not that is ok too.

My positives:

Spending time with my girls.
Quin and his girlfriend were over last evening.
I'm thrilled with the "Texting mittens" that I ordered for Shavon for Christmas. They are hand made and I picked them up yesterday. Only the thumb is bared while texting, the fingers stay covered.
The stairs are almost finished. Garry has the pieces all cut and fitted, now we just have to stain them to match the hardwood that is going in the family room.
This awesome and unexpected warm weather! What a bonus.
The blesses that come our way each and every day.

It's been unseasonable warm here, and wet today, temps are suppose to drop tonight and they are talking wet snow and possible accumulation. Can't complain as we are in the last week of Nov. and usually have a little snow by now. I need to go Wed. and pick up baking stuff so I can get stuff made for Saturday's bazaar, I hope it goes well. A nice bit of sleep in this morning. It's the weekend and a busy one ahead.

I have a massage appointment first thing this morning, then I need to get the truck back home so Garry can get it all cleaned up as we have someone coming to look at it. If it sells, not sure what we will do for a vehicle, but I'm sure something will work out, it always does. We have a memorial service to attend this afternoon as well as I need to pick up a couple Christmas gifts that need to be put in the snail mail.

Garry is hoping to at least get the stairs finished this weekend. We need to also get into the flooring store to pick up the rest of our hardwood. So many things to do. *grin*

My positives:
Massage day! I missed my early appointment and had to reschedule for today. Looking so forward to letting go of some tension in my neck and back.
The 80 to 90 km winds that blew through here yesterday didn't do any damage.
I have a weekend ahead of me to do some catch up on tasks.
Down to one birthday left in the month of November, before we start on all the December ones.
A good night's sleep last night.
Having the friends and family that I do...so blessed.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend. We did make it to Michael s and I did pick up some templates for my Sizzix, a new stamp of a rose, three different colors of stickles, some glue dots and two packages of different colors card stock. The cutter blade for my circuit was out, so will have to go back another time for that, Michaels was pretty busy. Those were pretty strong winds you were having, we had temps in the upper 50's and a little wind, not a bad day at all, it was nice to be out and about. 25 points on the spark wheel this morning!

25 points on the spark wheel this morning earned me an added spin, which in turn earned me an additional 20 points. Not a bad start to the points accumulation for today!

I got up this morning thinking this was possibly going to be a struggle kinda day. I didn't have much sleep last night. I actually debated with myself of calling in to work and telling them I wouldn't be in. Then I decided it was my choice what kind of day I have, so get my thinking turned around and focus on all the positives. What a great reminder when I spun the wheel this morning...it's my choice what kind of day I have!

My hubby came home with the news last night that he might have to be looking for a new job. His place of work has not been a good place to work for some time and the moral of the employees is really becoming difficult to handle. It's a shame, because he has put in 10 years there and over the past few years we have witnessed the decline in the atmosphere from a family to now you are a number. The atmosphere has become very negative and he has to make a decision on whether or not he wants to continue to hope that things turn around. The company has lost some very good employees over the past few months and now Garry is thinking that just maybe it's his time too. It's a scary proposition to be changing jobs at his age and starting all over. We just have to trust that if one door is closing, another will open.

My positives:
I have a job that recognizes the value of it's employees.
We have very little debt outside of the house mortgage and the usual monthly bills.
We don't live on credit.
We have food in the pantry.
Life is still good!

It's fabulous Friday and I'm going to make it a great day.

Job changes can be scary especially as we get older. It's so sad to see companies treating their employees like just a number and not a human being with value, it seems to happen more and more over here. It's also not fun to work in a hostile environment. We may not have much of an income, but we have peace of mind, I am so truly thankful that I don't have to deal with work related stuff anymore. Morals or morale? I have to ask. :-) When work becomes difficult like that and you reach the point of feeling that way, I reckon it is time to look for pastures new if possible. :-) There is certainly no harm in putting out feelers. A blessed and Happy Thanksgiving going out to all my American friends. May your day be filled with wonderful and grateful moments.

Normally my weekends are relatively free of schedules, this Saturday seems to be a major exception. It started out with only one appointment at 9am, then came a second appointment with someone wanting to look at our truck (which Garry has up for sale), and now we have added in a memorial service for our good friends Mother who passed away suddenly. The first appt. is not a problem, but then everything hinges on the whether or not the truck sells! As we only have one vehicle at this time...we could find ourselves in a bit of a pickle! Garry will be spending today seeing about the possibility of another vehicle that will be less expensive than the truck. Life is interesting, and I'm just not going to worry about this situation...instead, I will trust that the universe knows what we need and bring it forward.

My positives:
The bills that have arrived so far this month are all paid.
One month of winter is almost done!
I am enjoying the internet more than ever before...I've branched out and actually done some Christmas purchases online and have had much success. I am always very cautious though of where I make any purchases. I then go and clear my "cookies" to help avoid all the junk emails.
I am blessed.

Not only is it mid way through my work week...it's payday today too! I love the satisfaction on sitting down on payday and getting any bills that are in paid! Such a feeling of accomplishment...makes working have a purpose *grin*

Our temperatures soared to plus six yesterday and are sitting at only minus two this morning. Roads will be very slippery, but at least when I head for work, there is very little traffic. We are supposed to get some major wind storms blowing through. British Columbia had them yesterday and there was some damage left behind in it's wake...trusting that by the time it blows over the mountains that separate us, it will have lost some of its potential for damage.

My positives:
Got three more boxes of Christmas stuff unpacked and placed. Bins are now stored in the basement.
One more Christmas gift done.
A busy day ahead at work again today. So much prefer the busy days...make the time at work go by fast.
It's a good day to be alive!
