A busy day today. Tuesday after a holiday Monday are a bit on the crazy side at work, but I enjoy being busy, so not a negative for me.
Sun shone most of the day, now it's clouding over and we are in for rain for the rest of the week apparently. A good thing as the ground is very dry here and there are presently 13 forest and grass fires burning around us. One of the fires is only about 40 minutes away and last week was threatening the town of Bruderheim. Only one house on an acreage was lost, but several barns and out buildings on other acreages. It's under control now, but with the ground being so dry some of the fire has gone underground and they are worried about the predicted winds stirring it up again. Most of the fires are under control now, but a nice steady rain will go a long way to helping out. Amazing to thing that with all the snow we got this winter, how dry the ground still is. Oh well, I'm not worried about the fires as I figure there are lots worse things that could happen.
I registered for a training class at IKEA to learn how to use their computers in the kitchen design center. We are wanting to redo our kitchen and what to start costing things out so we know what kind of a budget we are going to need to work towards. I drove into the city to IKEA tonight and was all prepared to learn something...wondered why nothing was happening, then I spotted a sign advertising the training session....it's next Tuesday evening! LOL. I was just a tad early! Too funny. I decided that seeing as I was already there, I might as well play around on the computer and see if I could figure it out myself....I did pretty good. Now I will go back next week and take all the exact measurements of our kitchen with me and I'm ahead of the game. See, everything happens for a reason!
Positives in my day.
- busy at work, so much better than the day dragging by.
- sun shine most of the day.
- rain in the forecast, nice breeze blowing now, so great for sleeping tonight, not hot!
- I'm ahead of the game at IKEA! LOL
- Got an invite to a family get together in July, a surprise anniversary celebration.
- made arrangements today with the RCMP to come and review our safety procedures at work. (I'm the safety Coordinator at work)
- read some wonderful blogs filled with positive attitudes and so many blessings...always a treat.
Have a great evening all, I'm off to bed shortly, just a couple more blogs to check out and then dreamland and I have an appointment!

I'm doing two blogs in one, catching up on yesterday and doing todays early.
A very lazy and relaxing day yesterday. I stuck to home almost all day, catching up on things around the house, did some cleaning and laundry, then sat outside on my new chair cushions and read a terrific book : Schuyler's Monster : A father's journey with his wordless daughter by Robert Rummel-Hudson. What a great book. Highly recommend it.
Spent the evening watching my favorite TV show, season finale....Extreme Home Makeover. It's my tissue show. My daughters giggle at me as I blubber away. But it's all good, I occassionally catch them trying to inconspicously wipe a tear away also.
So today, the sun is shining again and I have shorts on and intend on going out and enjoying some sun. Going out with my husband for the day and not sure what it will entail. It's a holiday Monday here so we are making the most of not having to go to work. It's starting off with Garry making scrambled eggs for breakfast and they are almost ready, we'll eat breakfast out on the deck and enjoy the beginning of our day.
I'll touch base later with all of you.
Enjoy your day, find your positives and just be thrilled with who you are and who you are becoming! Don't live for tomorrow....live for today!

Life just keeps getting better and better. I find that the more I focus on the positives and the more that I encourage others to find their positives, the more my life is just overflowing with positive energy. Thank you all who leave me such encouraging messages on my blog and my page. I get excited about all the incredible things that are happening in each of your lives.
Today has been a great day, sun shining, temperature reached 29 degrees. My youngest daughter and I went jean shopping for her, she managed to find 2 pair of jeans that fit her wonderfully and they were each on sale for 20.00! woo hoo! I was able to exchange a new pair of capri size 14 pants (not yet worn, as the weather has only now started to be summer like) for a pair of size 12 shorts! I had purchased 2 pairsof capris early in the spring, and at that time size 14 fit great, now they are too big....talk about a blessing! My scales don't show that I've eliminated much since I purchased them, but I guess all the walking and strength training has firmed things up!
My husband had today off also, and we went to IKEA and managed to find new cushions for our lawn chairs...great buy! I really like IKEA stores, they have very affordable things! So now I have orange and white cushions on my chairs....very lively!
We stopped at East Side Mario's for supper, I had a Tuscan Chicken Salad...so managed to stay well within my calorie range for today. Even indulged in a couple of teaspoons of my husband's cheese cake dessert!
I went for a nice long walk first thing this morning, it was still cool out then and quiet so had some nice time for thinking and talking to God. Marla and Kathy, I took you with me too. Marla, I know you enjoyed the walk, as the weather was just right, Kathy had to put on a jacket, but that's okay, she still managed to keep up with us bare armed girls! lol
I'm going outside now to try out my new chair cushions and enjoy the pleasure of sitting and listening to the wind rustle all those new leaves....sounds just like sitting at the sea shore and hearing the waves break on the shore...ahhhhh! love that sound. I'm such a water baby!
Have a wonderful evening, keep smiling and counting your blessings, life is just getting better all the time.

This has been such an exciting day for me. I've been like a kid waiting for Santa to arrive, I could hardly wait to get home after work so that I could log on and read who had accepted yesterday's challenge to blog about their Fabulousness.
I wasn't disappointed....what fabulous reads as well as seeing how accurately each of you hit the nail on the head about why you are fabulous.
Thank you all for making my day so delightful....Donna, I'm waiting to read yours yet!!!!! Cheryl...join in the fun, you are more than welcome.
I'm Fabulous because I live each day walking with the Lord. I follow His directions and through that have been able to help others. I'm fabulous because my friends are fabulous, they accept my challenges and as a result we are all better for it. I'm a caring person, I am open to following how my spirit leads me and as a result I witness miracles each day. I am fabulous because I continue to grow spiritually each and every day. I am a loyal friend, I make friends slowly, but once you are my friend you are a friend for life. I am fabulous because I try each day to encourage others and help them to see the positives in their lives and to change their focus from the negatives. And like Marie said....I'm Fabulous because God created me...a unique individual!
Positives in my day....
My wonderful friends who inspire and encourage me.
It's Friday and I now have a whole long weekend ahead of me!
The sun is shining.
I've made a head start on my laundry and will have it all done today, that leaves the weekend free to do fun stuff!
I am so blessed!
Thanks for making my day.

Here's a quote I came across that really says it all....if each of us lived our days with this intention, we would be able to leave this world know that we have lived a rich live and one with no regrets.
"This is the beginning of a new day. You have been given this day to use as you will. You can waste it or use it for good. What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it. When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever; in its place is something that you have left behind...let it be something good."
It might take some work to do, but oh how much better our days would be if we consciously live each day to the very best.
My blessing for the day...
We have had a beautiful sun filled day, yesterday the leaves on the trees were pretty much non-existant, today the warm sun has brought all the leaves popping out, almost before your eyes. Such a beautiful green color. God's handi work, miracles.
Kaeli and I went for tea after my work today and before picking up Shy from work. We had such a nice time catching up with each other and spending time together. Now she is making supper (she loves to cook) so that I can spend time catching up with all of you! Hope blessed I am to have such a wonderful daughter and friend.
My favorite time of day....being on the computer after work and touching base with the group of positive bloggers who delight in finding all the positives in their day and sharing them with the rest of us. Such an inspiration and encouragement to everyone.
My husband phoned me at work to day and greeted me by saying " hi there skinny!" woo hoo...what a great way to be greeted. I also got to wear my new size 12 pants to work and got compliments on them and on me! Such motivation to keep on going.
Tomorrow is Fabulous Friday at the Beehive dorm, so I'm extending a challenge to everyone to blog tomorrow about why you are Fabulous! We are all fabulous. so lets tell the world why.
Have a wonderful evening thinking about what you are going to blog tomorrow!
