My favorite day of the week has rolled around and I'm so looking forward to it being the end of a work week. This has been a very long week. Another successful meeting with another vendor yesterday. We should be done with all the vendor meeting now until next spring. We have such a great group of vendors and they all work with us so well, that it is a pleasure to see them.

Kaeli and Garry are heading out today for Saskatchewan. I on the other hand will be doing some canning this weekend as well as Shyra and I are going to make a run to IKEA.

My positives:

I don't have to spend hours traveling this weekend.
My tomatoes are ripening nicely.
It's Friday and the end of a long work week.
Shyra and I are spending some time together this weekend.
I have a lovely stack of reading material that I hope to spend some time with this weekend also.
Sunshine and warm weather has been allowing me to spend some time out on the back deck and meditating.
My shelving unit for storing cans arrived yesterday and I will be able to set it up and organize things in the cold storage room this weekend. YAY,
Being blessed with another day of life.

All day yesterday I felt like I was missing something. For some reason the date kept making me think that there was some special event attached to it. I kept checking my calendar to see if I had forgotten something. It still feels like I forgot something about that date. Very strange. If I forgot someone's birthday, I apologize.

Meeting this morning with another one of our vendors. This vendor is a real special guy. He is so nice to work with. Always brings Gail and I Timmies when he comes to visit. (Not that that is what makes him so nice...but it's an added bonus!)

Garry and Kaeli has decided to head out at noon tomorrow to Saskatchewan. Gives them a bit of extra time with Garry's Mom. I'm so glad that they will be traveling during daylight hours rather than dusk when all the deer seem to be jumping out onto the highways!

I have one container of tomatoes ready for processing. I'm hoping that the others have enough ripe tomatoes in them to make up a large batch of processing, rather than the 3 or 4 at a time that I've been having to do. Yay...almost done the canning.

My positives:

A wonderful phone chat with our granddaughter yesterday. Her birthday present had arrived and she was very excited to get it and wanted to say thank you. Love having chats with her. We also are connected through Skype and that is great to be able to see her when we chat.

My tomatoes are ripening and I should be able to finish off all the processing by this weekend.

I get to drive myself to work for the next couple of days...Garry has a loaner vehicle from his work that the company is needing to have some extra kms put on it. He'll take it to Saskatchewan too, which means I have transportation while he is gone. YAY.

Just being alive...what a blessing!

Upgrades at work successful.

Yay, the upgrades at work were successful and finished sooner than we were told they would. I will have work to do today! Yay.

I looks like I just might be doing some processing of tomatoes by the end of the week. I have one container that pretty much looks ready now and the other ones are starting to turn now too! It will be nice to have my counter space all back and to put away all the canning supplies for another year. Although, I'm thinking that I just might pull things out through out the year as different fruits etc hit their plentiful seasons.

My positives:

The upgrades to our system at work finished earlier than expected.
A lovely meditation time on my back deck .
Tomatoes are beginning to ripen quickly now.
I get to stay home this weekend and finish all the canning. Garry and Kaeli will head to Saskatchewan to see Garry's Mom.
Our meeting with one of our vendors was a good meeting yesterday. Long but very helpful.
Nice sunny and warm temperatures predicted for the remainder of the week. Yay...still some outdoor time on the back deck left. My trees have not completely lost all their leaves yet.
My counter top and backsplash for the built in area in DR have been installed and they look great. I'll take pictures and post later.
It's Hump Day...half way through the work week already.

Just so you know....95 days to Christmas! I can't believe that 2011 is on the downside of the hill. This whole year seems to be zooming past!

Today and tomorrow will be usually long days at work due to the fact that an upgrade is going to be taking place with the computer program that I work almost exclusively in. I won't be able to do my usual work, but I still need to be there as some of the other staff that work in the program also are going to be away. I do have a meeting at 9am with one of our vendors, so that will help to pass some time. I think I will be spending much of the day trying to look like I have something to do! *grin*

It got down to zero here last night. Glad that the only veggies I still have in the garden are root veggies that don't mind a light frost. I'll take care of them this weekend. Garry and Kaeli are going to head to Saskatchewan for a visit with his Mom. Garry is going to help with some yard work and Kaeli is going to have her Baba show her how to make some traditional food dishes. I will stay at home to mind the home front.

My positives:

Sunshine through out the daytime hours still.
Having one vehicle stills seems to be working for both of us. We will see hope this works as the weather gets colder.
Met my goal yesterday with determination.
Waking up and knowing that I have a new day to live. A new day to improve and become a better and healthier person. So blessed.

Freezing temps! Brrrrrrrr. I'm just hanging around here waiting for my BIL to get home from work and deliver me to the airport. It has been a wonderful trip. Lots of fun and fellowship and adventure. Yay, my computer is back up and running!

I missed yesterday completely due to computer issues. Saturday evening I logged off and my computer had some window updates to do before it shut down. Unfortunately, it got hung up somehow while installing update 2 0f 2! I spent the evening attempting to cold shut it down, but everytime I would do that, it would restart itself and all I would get was the same screen telling me that it was installing 2 0f 2 updates. Spent yesterday attempting everything that I knew of to get it unhung. Finally, I decided to just remove the battery from my laptop and see if that did anything. First attempt didn't work, so then I removed it for a longer period of time. Figured if I removed the power source it might correct. A bit scary to do as it tells you not to shut down or unplug while the update is happening! After leaving the battery out for awhile and then putting things back together....Woo Hoo...it worked! I don't appear to have lost any information and when I shut it down again, it went to another update mode and this time if completed itself...appears I am not back up and running.

My positives:
My computer is fixed...at least as far as I know!
I'm done to 5 containers of green/reddish tomatoes for processing. I made a very yummy homemade tomato soup yesterday for lunch with one small batch of ripe tomatoes.
I only have one bed of garden to finish cleaning out and then all the yard work is complete and we are ready for winter. We had a lovely day yesterday for working outside.
Found some hardware for the new cabinets that both Garry and I really like...and that look good on the cabinets. Now we just need to install them. Counter top and backsplash are almost dry enough to install. Garry wanted to put another coat of sealant on them first.
I got two of my shelving units built and installed in my cold storage room and am thrilled with them. They are on wheels so I can easily arrange them in a different lay out as my cold storage room fills. I would like to get two more units in the future.

How clever of you to figure out how to fix a computer ... I keep having to remember to back up - just in case (one year I lost an entire years worth of work and had to do it all over again the next school year - I wont do that again). I just hadn't figured out how to turn the back up machine on properly and had given up on it ... I needed to stop thinking of my computer as some magical machine and think logically - like you did (like I didn't) heheh! 3 cheers on you making tomato soup too! My potatoes went in really late and my tomatoes had to wait because of weather and were smaller than usual but caught up quickly though I think they lost a crucial week or two. The whippersnappers are good to begin in mid-Feb ... the others are ok around mid-March to end of March (our yougrowgirl mentor does hers early April) ... she really know what she's doing though.
