Bless Garrys heart. Yesterday at noon he came home for lunch and covered up all my garden beds and moved the potted plants into the shed. The temperatures dropped during the day and then down to only 1 above last night! I'm hoping that my little plants survived the night. It was cold!
I'll head outdoors in a bit to check things out. It's suppose to warm back up today, so think it will be safe to remove the coverings.
Garry has to work today, so Q and I will make an attempt to finish off as much of the reno stuff in the house as possible. It's like having a monkey on my back with all the dust that is around. I want to get it cleaned up and the floors and everything else washed, but it's senseless when I know that there is more sanding to do. Oh well, I'll just focus on the end result and the path there won't be so bad *grin*
My Positives:
Its the weekend.
With Q's help, so much has been accomplished.
Garry Dad has survived this past week and his brother from BC has arrived yesterday to get to see their Dad.
Lots of new books to read.
It's a new day, a blank slate to write on.
A nice sleep in this morning.
The kids are all coming over to dinner this evening. A big pot of veggie chili is in the works.
Life.
Have a great and silly Saturday,
Hugs,
Wanda

So many great words begin with "F".
Fabulous, Friday, Family, Fun, Future, Faithful, Freedom, Focus, and the list goes on.
All such positive words. Sure there are negative words that begin with the same letter, but why focus on them when there are so many other great words to wrap yourself around. How many can you fill your day with? Interesting exercise in thought...notice how you feel when you think of negative words and then notice how you feel when you think of positive words. Which would you choose?
My positives:
A great family meal last evening at the girls place. Kaeli roasted fennel, asparagus and zucchini on the BBQ...mmmmm, so good.
Quin ....bless his heart is spending his time finishing off plastering and sanding, finishing off the closet area in preparation for it's new use.
It's Friday!
I'm seeing signs in my garden beds of lovely little bits of green...my seeds are sprouting. YAY.
Although it will be a busy weekend of cleaning...I'm looking forward to the end result of no more dust! (drywall dust is so invasive!)
My new desk location at work is proving to be very helpful in decreasing the intensity of my headaches. Over time, I'm very hopeful that the headaches can be eliminated completely.
Begin able to spend a nice part of my day out of doors once I get home from work. Being out of doors and in contact with nature, fresh air etc, helps to ground me. Nature is a great healer of many ills.
Learning to recognize the blessings in my daily life.
Have a wonderful and fabulous Friday.
Hugs,
Wanda

I WILL continue to move forward as I put one foot in front of the other. I WILL reach my goals.
These are my mantras for the month of June.
Yesterday as a struggle day energy wise. For some reason, staying awake was hard work. Not sure why I was so tired, but I came home from work and actually had a nap!
The wind was blowing like crazy yesterday, still, sitting out on the back deck was pleasant. The sun was shining down, the wind was blowing and it was just nice to close my eyes and have a nap.
My Positives:
My family, my friends and being alive.
Making head way towards my goals.
It's a new day to embrace.
Being blessed so abundantly in all ways.
Have a wonderful Thursday. Get enthusiastic about being alive.
Hugs,
Wanda

It was nice having yesterday off work, but today it's back to a regular routine.
It was not quite the relaxing day that we had hoped for, but we did get a lot accomplished.
Garry deals with his stress by getting quiet and busy...needless to say if you don't get busy right alone side of him, you feel lazy. Watching him work and you sitting, not a good combination*grin*.
My positives:
The new raised garden beds are "all" stained and treated and looking very nice.
Lawn is mowed and weed whipped where necessary.
We decided to take up the cork flooring at the front entrance way to make it much simpler to lay the hardwood. This way we didn't have to cut the hardwood to fit in a circular shape. Only problem was we discovered that there was a sub floor under the section of cork. When it was installed they were making sure it never moved! There were inch long stapes spaced apart about an inch. I'm sure that there must have been 2000 staples in the piece of subflooring. Unbelievable and lots of hard work getting it lifted.
The last small section to lay the hardwood down should only take about an hour. Not sure if it will happen today or not, but it's ready to do.
The birds are chirping away, sounds like it will be a nice day.
A new day to appreciate all that I am and will be.
Have a great day,
Hugs,
Wanda
