A teasing of rain last night. Just enough to leave things wet, but not enough to be miserable. I love the smell of the air after a nice rain....everything smells so fresh.
I had a short work day yesterday as I had to head for a medical appointment. The results of yesterdays visit are leaning very much towards "environmental" factors. I have noticed over the past couple of days since moving my desk location at work that my eyes are not bothering me near as much by the end of the day. Could be due to two things: 1. I am no longer sitting directly under a lighting system. 2. I'm sitting in more natural light and by an open window. It will be interesting to see how things are over the next few days. If the swelling goes down in my lymph glands and my headaches become less or non existent then I have my answer! The time line of these occurrences fits pretty well with the timeline of when I stopped wearing my respirator mask at work.
I managed to get two rows of celery planted as three rows of onions as the companions to the celery yesterday. I have never grown celery before, so we will see how this experiment goes. The onions that I'm trying this year are the little white onions that you can pickle....my favorites.
I transplanted four pots of my tomatoes also. Lots more to go, but they will all get done this weekend.
Some partial answers from the doctor. Time is what will give confirmation or not.
Some of my garden is planted now.
A lovely little light rain last night.
Shyra arrives home this evening. Yay...I'll get to see her this weekend.
My apple trees are doing wonderful...in other words...I haven't killed them!
I've been staying on track much more easily these past couple of weeks. It's not been such a struggle.
Being able to get outdoors each day.
Just being alive!
Have a wonderful day,

Yesterday, I was having a great deal of difficulty getting online from home. Took me lots of figuring out and calling on angel help once I got home from work and had time to systematically go through things to get by online. Turns out that when we moved things around in the computer/craft room that I had pinched a wire underneath something and that was what seemed to be giving me sporadic connections. Yay, things are working once again and I can now find out what everyone has been up to yesterday.
Quin arrived home yesterday and he is going to help get my new garden beds built this week. He heads back up north for his fishing work at the end of the month, so I'm pleased that he is willing to spend sometime helping me out. It's a long weekend this weekend and I am hoping to get all my potatoes planted.
The wild fire situation at Slave Lake is terrible, over 50% of the town has now been burnt. 22 thousand hectacres are burning out of control. The winds that have been blowing through here the past week or so have not been helping the situation. Saturday the winds were 100km an hour which meant that the water bombers were not able to get up in the air and fight the fires. Please keep these town people in your prayers.
Quin is home for a few days.
My doctor's appointment has been moved up to this Wednesday...here's praying for some answers.
One of my apple trees has flower buds on it!!!
The gift of today.
A great sleep last night.
Learning to live in the moment with focus.

The sun is shining, the wind is still blowing. We have had wind blowing for several days now. I've never seen so much wind. My plants are going to need very sturdy stems in order to survive out of doors this year!
I love that I can now leave windows and doors open and allow the fresh air to come inside. I love the openness of it all. Being closed up and confined in the winter months, although warmer, is not as nice.
Got many of the thngs on my "to do" list accomplished yesterday. Some that got added and others that are waitiing their turn *grin*
I discovered when finally having the time to go through all the flyers that arrive in my mail box, that two stores were having a great sale on bags of topsoil.
I need more top soil for my new garden beds. They both had them on as Saturday only sales. One store had 25L bags on for 99cents, but a limit of 4, The other store had a limit of 10 and they were 30L bags for 1.49 each. Yay, I have some more soil for my gardens. We will still need more, but I'll watch for further sales and see what happens.
Today's plan is to tear up all the awful carpet and underlay in the LR/DR in preparation for the new flooring going in. I am going to try planting my corn and peas today, as they can with stand "cooler" temps. I'm really amazed at how much fun I am having with all this gardening. Me...the person that hates creepy crawlies. But I guess when you are following the urgings of your guides and the Lord, they can help you to overcome any obstacles. I've really come to believe that it is necessary that all of us learn to become more self-sufficient, and growing our own food to what ever extent we are able to is one way of doing that.
Even Garry and my children are coming around to the same way of thinking. Gas prices are going up crazy, cost of everything rises right along with it. By growing our own veggies at least and some fruit and by canning my own produce, it helps to cut the costs and allows us to eat healthy still. Probably healthier, as they food I grow is full of pesticides and artifical colorings.
Just being alive and enjoying life.
My garden and soon to be more garden *grin*
Being able to leave doors and windows open to the outside.
Setting goals (to do lists) and seeing things becoming accomplished...such a great feeling. I've discovered that I'm addicted to writing goals/list and then seeing all those same things crossed off as they are accomplished *grin* Side benefit, I have my focus on accomplishing my lists and my focus is not on unhealthy things. No time to grab that cookie !
Friends, family and my spiritual guidance.
Have a wonderfully blessed day. Appreciate all that you have and also all that you don't have.

Wow, time is just whipping by! Already it's the middle of May.
It's a lovely Saturday, I've been back at work for a week now, almost completely caught up with the work that was left for me. Now it's weekend time once again and I have a beautiful day ahead of me to continue with the "to do" list.
My plans for the day...finish put back together the computer/craft room. I have some pictures that I want to frame and place on the "family" wall, get out in the garden and start working in the dirt. I might even take the chance and plant some of the hardier seeds, as well as my potatoes into pots, laundry(a never ending story*grin*) and what ever else my day brings me.
Tomorrow we are hoping to be able to tear out all the yucky carpeting from the LR/DR and do some prep work for the new flooring that will be going in there. We have someone that Garry is going to call and see what he would charge us to do the painting of the ceiling and all the walls in there. We have a vaulted ceiling and very high walls that requires one of us to go up a ladder...not being a ladder person...I'm not excited about that prospect! Kitchen Essentials is coming on Monday after I'm off work to give us some estimates and ideas for our new built ins that we want in that room...which means I need to get all the stuff that is in there now removed! A busy weekend ahead, but look at the things I can cross off the "to do" list*grin*
Almost completely caught up with the backlog of work that was on my desk at work.
The days are warmer and I've been able to leave my portable greenhouse outside all week. The seedlings are doing great.
Getting to work in the garden this weekend.
Our son will be back home early next week to help us get the new garden beds made and ready for me to plant in by the end of the month.
Heard from some distant relatives that we haven't seen for a few years and they are wanting to come for a visit at the end of June. Yay, another family get-together.
Sun shine...nothing like sun shine to make a person feel so much better.
Garry sold his car which makes for a little more cash flow. Now he is down to just one car that he drives and he has that one up for sale also. The price of gas is ridiculous and having extra vehicles is not an option that is practical.
It's great to be alive and living a life that is filled with so many options.
Have a wonderful Saturday...don't forget to smile and laugh, it's good for the soul.
