Did I sleep great last night or what! I had moved my monthly massage treatment from this morning to yesterday after work as my therapist wasn't going to be available today. What a great thing to do...I was so totally relaxed after my treatment that going to sleep last night was wonderful. I just might have to think on changing my appointment permanently to a Friday after work *grin*
Well its Silly Saturday on the Positive Bloggers team and I'm looking forward to some silliness today. I have nothing planned, although Shyra phoned me yesterday to see if I had plans for today. She would like to get together, YAY. Not sure what we will end up doing, but spending time with her is always a treat.
Shy is contemplating a week's trip to Cuba at the end of May with a friend. Quin is on his way home sometime this weekend from his job in northern BC, Kaeli and her boyfriend are going to pick out a "foster" puppy today. Matt has always wanted a dog and thinks the time is right to finally get one. This should be interesting if Matt decides to bring the puppy for a visit to Kaeli and Shy's place...they have a rabbit and a cat! Life is never dull around here.
It's the weekend and I have nothing planned.
A great sleep last night, first time all week that I've slept the whole night through without waking up.
Our temperatures are dropping big time once again, but this time the sidewalks/driveways and streets have all melted off and they are no longer wet and turning to ice.
I read an interesting article in an email that I received yesterday. I'm sharing the article here, as there are others that might find it fun and interesting too! (Lexie...mine is 1)
What is your personal year number?
by Bev Kennedy, BScN, HHP
Many people like to start a new year by making resolutions or setting goals; I do too. In addition, because I’m a Numerologist, I like to think about my Personal Year number/energy.
I believe that my Personal Year energy helps to “set the tone” for the upcoming year. I have learned that if I keep that energy in mind, throughout the year, I am better able to “go with the flow” of events. Then, my life unfolds with fewer struggles and more grace.
So, what is Personal Year energy? Simply put, it is a specific vibration (type) of energy that affects you during a particular calendar year. Personal Year energy interacts with the energy held in your birth name and birth date. Together, they govern your experiences during the year.
There are nine different Personal Year energies and together, they make up a Personal Year Cycle. These nine-year cycles repeat and repeat throughout your lifetime.
Each Personal Year has a specific energetic vibration; thus, has its own set of characteristics or “personality”. For example, five-energy typically encourages: spontaneity, risk-taking, freedom, adventure and change.
So, if you are in a Personal Year five and wanting to travel, this would be an ideal year for exploring distant lands and cultures. Or, if you are thinking about changing jobs, but don’t yet have the courage to do so, the Personal Year five-energy would support your efforts to do just that. Similarly, Personal Year nine-energy would support a job resignation because, among other things, it governs endings.
It is easy to calculate your Personal Year number/energy. Simply, add your birth day and birth month numbers to the four digits of the current year. Then, reduce the two-digit result to a single number by adding those digits together.
For example, if you were born on the 14th of August add: 1+4 (day) + 8 (month) + 2+0+1+1 (current year) = 17. Now, add 17 together: 1+7 = 8. Your Personal Year energy for 2011 is an eight.
Below is a brief synopsis of each of the nine Personal Year energies:
One: A year for “seed planting” and new beginnings. It is an ideal year for setting goals and making plans. Your personal energy will be strong this year.
Two: A year of slow growth, and potential set-backs; practice patience. Focus on communication, relationship building, cooperation and compromise. You may feel unusually sensitive this year.
Three: A year for creative expression, fun and good luck. Expressing your deep thoughts and feelings will allow you to more easily access your creativity. Try new things, use humour; allow your inspiration to flow.
Four: A year for laying firm foundations. Be practical, get organized and work hard toward achieving your goals. Also, practice self-discipline. Four is a “no nonsense” type of energy.
Five: A year of change and opportunity. Take risks, stretch your limits, try new things, get out of any ruts; it is an ideal time for exploration, adventure and travel.
Six: A year to focus on your family and responsibilities. Strive to balance your work and home life, and your needs with the needs of others.
Seven: A year for introspection and spiritual growth. Spend time in solitude, meditate - listen to your inner self, read; re-examine your life’s direction. This is a sabbatical year.
Eight: A year of a harvest and rewards. Your personal influence and finances will improve. Focus on the outer world, and on your business/career.
Nine: A year of endings and transformation. Complete any unfinished business, grieve any losses, and express gratitude for all that you have. You are preparing for the next Personal Year cycle.
Have fun with this information and observe how your Personal Year energy influences your experiences during 2011. I would love to hear about your observations or experiences with your Personal Year energy. Please see my contact information below.
