Plugging along...

Thursday, February 10, 2011

I'm plugging along and slowly getting to where I am going. I'm back to consistently eating a healthy breakfast before heading out the door for work. I still find it hard to eat at the time of morning that most people are still sleeping, but it's getting there again. I do have the odd morning that I take my breakfast with me, as I'm just not hungry. I'm still struggling with "do I eat because I'm supposed to eat a healthy breakfast" or "do I eat because I'm hungry".

My massage therapist phoned me last evening to see if I would mind coming after work tomorrow for my treatment instead of Saturday morning. She needs to juggle her schedule and as it works for me too, I'm okay with changing it. So YAY, I get to go a day earlier for my treatment. Fabulous Friday just got more Fabulous *grin*

My positives:

I'm continuing to move forward.
I get to go a day earlier for my massage treatment.
I'm slowly making head way with all the orders that piled up in my in basket while I was away.
My family, friends and God in my life, not necessarily in any particular order as they are all important.
I haven't had to shovel snow for awhile....maybe I just jinxed it *grin*
Attempting to put into practice in my life some concepts that I've been reading about. I've noticed that my awareness has increased.
Life.

Have a wonderful day. When you feel like giving up, just keep going. You never know just how close you are to success.

Hugs,
Wanda

Slow and steady wins the race! :-)
Hope you didn't jinx the snow thing. I'm sure you are enjoying avoiding that particular form of exercise. :-)
Hugs,

Wanda, I get all my morning chores done then make myself b-fast - fulfilling one of my 2011 financial goals - and am eating so much healthier that way!

Reading "...slowly getting to where I am going..." reminds me of my mom always telling me, "Slow and steady wins the race." Now if I could just believe it...

Blessings...

Wanda - That's why I've been packing my breakfast & taking it with me to my treatment. I need to be up for a little while before I eat also. I understand where you're coming from! Take care. Love ya, Marla

Feb 09

We are just coming out of another cold snap and heading into a lovely warmer temperature period (at least for what's left of this week). Once again the streets will be icy. Warm during the day, freezing in the evenings and night. Crazy weather we are experiencing. I'm not complaining though, as I would rather have this weather than the 40 below temperatures that can come our way.

Another busy day at work yesterday. Most likely the rest of the week will be the same as I catch up on all the orders in my in basket. I enjoy being this busy though as the day whips by very quickly.

Not much for news on the home front, just the usually daily living stuff. I do appreciate the blessings that come our way in so many little ways. As I acknowledge them and give thanks, I realize anew just how blessed we are.

My positives:
Sharing lunch time at work yesterday with Shyra.
A phone call from my hubby while at work to see how my day was going and to fill me in on his.
I met my challenges yesterday. Woo Hoo.
Massage to look forward to this Saturday.
An "ahh" moment yesterday that made me smile at how complicated we can make our own lives when we "overthink" things.
I'm learning and growing and becoming the person that I want to be. I'm sure that I will always be a work in progress, as new challenges replace the old ones as they are accomplished.
Life is good.

Have an awesome day. Learn to be grateful for all that you are learning and keep your focus on doing the best that you can each day.

Hugs,
Wanda

Wanda we too are experiencing a few days of very cold weather and then Sunday we might hit 40, woo hoo, can't wait for that. Mother Nature is teasing us, but that's ok I won't turn down a 40 day. We have sun today, but temps are fridged. I had to go out this morning and was very happy to get back home where it's warm. Have a great Wed.

Hugs,
Shirl

A busy day at work yesterday. My selectors left me lots of work in my in basket as well as have sent me several carts through the email system. I will be busy for a few days, YAY!

It was nice to get back into a routine of sorts once again. I even got my 30 minutes of concentrated exercise in as well as doing the stairs a couple of times at work.

I'm running a bit behind schedule this morning. I had a great sleep last night and actually for the first time in a long time, needed the alarm to wake me this morning. I'm usually awake before the alarm goes off. Now I need to hussle a bit to.

My Positives:
a great sleep.
Busy at work.
Got my goals met yesterday.
This Saturday is massage time again...YAY!
My friends, family and just being alive.
Having internet and an easy way of keeping in touch with people.
Being so blessed.

Have a wonderful day, keep your focus set on what you want to create in your life. It will happen.

Hugs,
Wanda

Glad you had a restful nights sleep, you sound all energized and ready to face the day. We had a pretty good resident meeting yesterday, a lot more civil than the last one, lol. Have a great Tuesday.

Shirl

Thanks for the reminder that my life is mine to design. Sorry that you are rushed this morning, but glad that you had a great sleep. I'm looking forward to a day of accomplishment. I still have all my magazines and materials set up for my vision project. I'm not sure that I'll get to it today, but I'm ready when the time is right. (I lost momentum when I headed to Arkansas and got trapped there.) Have a wonderful day. Nice to have you back and nice to be back.
Love,
Nancy

Monday, Monday....

Monday, February 07, 2011

I woke up this morning this the song "Monday, Monday" running through my head. Weird!
Well holidays are over for a bit, so it's back to work today. I'm already looking forward to my next time off. In this case it will be Feb 21, as it's Family Day in Alberta. I could get very used to keeping my own schedule *grin*
I just finished reading one of the most interesting books..."Zero Limits" by Joe Vitale and Dr. Hew Len. It's about the Hawaiian system called Ho'oponopono. Very good food for thought. That has been the best part for me about being on holidays...lots of time to read!

Roads are super icy this morning, I'll have to leave for work a bit earlier so that I can take my time.

My positives:
Having enjoyed my time off.
I have a lovely warm vehicle to get me to work.
Being able to read and absorb new concepts.
A lovely visit with daughter number 2 yesterday. (Number 2 by no means diminishes her status in the family...just that she is our second daughter)
I'm looking foward to seeing my co-workers once again and catching up with all that has been happening at work.
I'm feeling renewed and ready to continue to move forward.

Have a wonderfully blessed day, thank your body for being of service to you. Let it know that you appreciate all that is does to keep you alive.

Hugs,
Wanda

Funny. As soon as I saw the blog title I had the exact same song in mine, even before you mentioned it. LOL

Catching up and plugging along.

Sunday, February 06, 2011

I spent most of the day yesterday catching up on computer related things, I got the weekly challenge posted finally and now I'm ready to face the new week.
Not necessarily ready to head back to work tomorrow, but ready for the new week anyway.
Laundry is all done, things are organized for work, just have to head out at some point today to get some groceries. It was raining and snowing most of the day yesterday and I didn't want to chance the roads. Hopefully today they will be a bit better.
I'm taking today and turning it into a serenity day, a day to just focus on relaxing and enjoying my last day of holidays. Garry is heading off to a "superbowl" watching event with the guys and I'm looking forward to some nice quiet time.

My Positives:
Made it through almost all of my emails.
Got this week's challenge posted.
Laundry is all done and I'm ready for the work week ahead.
I'll have time for "me" today.
I'm looking foward to some reading time today.
Being so blessed.

Have a wonderful Serenity Sunday,
Hugs,
Wanda
