I survived my trip to the dentist yesterday. I have such a great dentist. He knew just how terrified I was of having the work done and worked very hard at making it the best possible experience for me. I've had some very horrible experiences at dental offices growing up that have left some deep emotional scars. So despite the deep seated fear, some tears, some being sick, I didn't cancel my appointment. Dr. Ohuchi was very understanding and took the time to talk to me, keep a conversation going with his assistant the whole time to help me stay distracted. He froze by so well that it took most of the day for the freezing to leave...I'm okay with that, cause it meant that I didn't feel anything. The only thing that was hard and hurt was having my mouth open for so long. My jaw joints ached so bad after, that it even hurt to close my mouth finally.
I now have "pretty" teeth, according to my dentist. The ugly old metal fillings in two teeth are no longer there and they are re-filled with white composite. Those old fillings, we figured had to have been close to 40 years old and were long past due being replaced. So now, I'm good to go for the rest of my life! lol
I got my Must-do Monday challenge accomplished. Parcel is mailed and the post office assures me it will arrive in time for Christmas. YAY.
Having the day off yesterday to go to the dentist and not have to head in to work with a frozen mouth.
My Christmas parcel to our granddaughter is in the mail.
It's our department Christmas lunch today...should be fun.
I'm blessed with a warm home, a warm vehicle to get to work in, food on my table and the money to pay my bills.
I'm blessed also with a dental staff that is caring and kind.
Recognizing that I am blessed.
God in my life.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit. Take the time today to recognize your blessings.
