YAY Fabulus Friday!

Friday, November 19, 2010

Woo Hoo, it's Friday!

I have a very busy day ahead of me at work. My selectors have clued into the fact that they only have about 2 weeks to get their budgets spent and now the orders are coming to me fast and furious.

The snow has finally quit falling, so should only have to shovel this morning and if the weather person is correct, not for the next few days. Temperatures have dropped big time though. It's minus 21 this morning.

It's fabulous Friday...time to take stock of my worthiness. It's nice to remind myself at least once a week of just how wonderfully made I am. We are so good at seeing our negatives, but not so good about seeing our positives. Join me in reminding yourself of all that you are that is great.

My positives:

I am burning extra calories with shoveling the snow.
I have a lovely warm vehicle that gets to and from work safely.
I feel safe and secure.
I have a body that functions with out assistance.
I am very blessed each and every day.
I believe in positive affirmations and see the results in my life.
I am loved.
It's the weekend and starting next week, I only work Tues through Friday until the end of the year. I have a reduced work schedule as I attempt to use up some of my overtime and banked time. YAY!

Find your blessings and acknowledge them. What we focus on is what our lives become filled with.

Have a fantastic day,

OMG!!! minus 21? Do you live in Canada or Alaska or the North Pole?

I thought just having snow last weekend was something else....but we have lucked out with mild temps (I am in Southern Minnesota.))...

Keep warm while you're shoveling!!! emoticon

I read on your spark page you live in Alberta, Canada....I guess there are a lot of places colder than Minnesota!!! emoticon

and the snow continues!

Thursday, November 18, 2010

I arrived home yestereday from work and had to shovel the driveway to get in! It has not stopped all night, so will be heading out the door in a few minutes to begin shoveling so that I can get out of the driveway for work. Because I get to park in the garage, that means more driveway to shovel! Hmmmm, which is better...parking in the garage and not having to scrap windshields and a frozen car or parking in the driveway and not having so much to shovel? Six of one and half a dozen of the other. I do burn more calories by shoveling, so shoveling it is!

My Positives:
I'm really reaching on this one....snow...means I get to burn calories as I shovel the stuff and shiver! (how did I do?*grin*)
It looks pretty outside.
My course that I'm taking is going well...three days in and I'm still keeping up!
Kaeli has an interview at the library this evening. She is hoping to pick up some extra hours outside of her regular work. The hours would work very well for her at the library...so trusting the Universe to provide for her.
I'm feeling empowered today....I'm claiming my affirmations and believing that my higher power knows what's best and will deliver.
Life...isn't it great to wake up and know that you have a day ahead of you to be creative in. I'm creating my own reality.

Have a wonderful and blessed Thursday.

Snow! More snow! Every day is a new opportunity to use a shovel to get a good workout. It is hard work and you are burning a ton of calories. A blessing that you have kept yourself in shape and can shovel. Regardless, I hope the snow was light and that your driveway is short. The weekend is on the approach and you have earned a well deserved rest. This weekend hopefully you can just watch the snow from your window and enjoy it's peacefulness. Have a nice night and a fantastic Friday! My prayer for you is that no more snow comes down through the night. emoticon

Yes, we are all busy creating our own realities either for good or bad, it truly is all up to us and we have the power within us to bring it to pass. Yes, that shovling of snow really is the greatest calorie burn ever. LOL. I have had the same dilemma over the years, in the garage or out of the garage, and yes in the garage won out, and more shovling won out. LOL. Enjoy the beautiful pristine look of the first fresh fallen snow. Enjoy the day and evening. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Oh NOOOOoooOOoooo ... SNOW (we can't be too far behind you). I have the same issues but because I'm in a condo the ploughs do our drive through BUT they leave a huge pile all along the doorways and sometimes it's feels almost impossible to crack and get through because it's so hard and I'm at the end so I get the big pile dumped in front of me) ... at least our cars are warm and clean though. Drive safely!

Woo Hoo 25 points this mornng!

Wednesday, November 17, 2010

What a nice surprise to gain 25 points this morning on the spin! Bring on the "Lotto" !

I made a start yesterday on moving forward towards beginning some new challenges in my future. I'm easing into things...talked to my director yesterday about options for me at work and we decided that for the next few weeks, I would work Tuesday through Friday only, using up all my overtime and making a start on my banked holiday time of which I have almost 6 weeks. We will see what the next few weeks decides. There are several options available to me, so I'm starting off with the easiest option and working up to other options.
Getting my feet wet so to speak. I'm feeling lighter, so know that I'm going in the right direction.

My Positives:

Took a step forward towards my future yesterday, feeling lighter with the decision.
The art of compromise is an interesting a juggling act, an art that I am learning. I just have to remember that I don't compromise what is best for me.
I signed up for a great course online through the Daily OM website. Two days into the course and I'm really enjoying it. I really liked the fact that you could pay what you felt you could afford to pay. Very unusual concept.
Friends who support and encourage me even when they don't always know what I'm thinking or doing.
Being so incredibly blessed.

Have a wonderful day everyone. Thank you for stopping by for a visit and always leaving such uplifting and supportive comments.

I am so glad for all the good things and new changes that are all good but, like you said just to do all this transitioning slowly and a little at a time. It really sounds exciting to me. I really dont know what you are studying on line but it sounds interesting the concept of it. Pay what you can afford, thats nice and makes doing something worth while doable. Good for you. Life is being able to keep up with the changes as one tries to improve ones life. Anyways, it really sounds like fun and you are not just being stagnent. You have such a great and caring heart and mind set also and that is always a plus to improving ones life. Enjoy today and tomorrow and smile alot. emoticon

Yay, on the 25 pts. Easing into things is probably a good way to start. You seem to have such a good sense of balance in your life. I wish you could be sitting at our table tonight joining us in our Thanksgiving potluck along with other sparkfriends.

Glad to see John on here I had just said on Chit Chat I've been missing him and Nancy. If my internet was more reliable I'd be able to make it around to visit more people, but I do what I can do with what I have. Enjoy this day.

Found my motivation!

Tuesday, November 16, 2010

I found my motivation yesterday. I just needed to remind myself of why I was on this journey in the first place.

I managed to get in 45 minutes of exercise as well as doing some hard core positive affirmation work. I'm ready to keep moving forward now. YAY!

I enjoyed my day yesterday. Garry and I went out for dinner to celebrate my birthday. I had a lovely salad with some garlic toast and then we headed over to the Yogurt shop for dessert. We came home and spent a lovely evening chatting and relaxing.

Today it's back to work and catching up on having been off work for a few days.

My Positives:

Another year of wisdom and learning under my belt.
My mini-holiday...I needed that time to focus and relax.
Friends and family.
My health and a body that is free of needing medications.
Finding my motivation once again.
A nice warm bed to crawl into at night.
A warm home and food on my table.
Although we are headed to minus 18 by Sunday, the snow seems to be skirting us at the moment.
God and guidance in my life.

Have a lovely Tuesday. Take the time today to reach out to those around you with compassion and caring.

What a great list of positives. You remind me of how important it is to take time to reflect and appreciate one's accomplishments, life. And, you have motivated me to take better care of myself, thank you! So today is a rest day as I coast into my 100th day of Accountability.

It sounds like you had an enjoyable time with friends and family. Happy Birthday! You have a lot of wonderful things to celebrate, too! (Except for the cold weather -- and I complain about our weather here...go figure). We don't usually have to worry about getting through on roads most of the winter, although we are famous for out lake effect snows that shut down the area.

So glad you are feeling motivated. You are doing terrific. I know you will make this another good year with the great attitude that you have. Thanks for inspiring me today. emoticon

Motivation Monday....I need to find my motivation!

Monday, November 15, 2010

Garry and Q arrived home safe and sound yesterday. They had a lovely visit with Garry's siblings and his folks. His Dad is hanging in there, but Garry was very concerned with how he looked. I'm glad that he had the opportunity to go and visit while the roads were good for traveling.

The girls arrived around 4pm yesterday and cooked a lovely meal for us. The boys arrived home in time for supper and Afton (Q's girlfriend) arrived at about the same time. We had a very nice meal together.

It was an early night though as work calls out this morning and the boys were tired from traveling .

It's motivation Monday and I'm having to dig deep to find some motivation this morning. I will have to remind myself of why I am on this journey and what I desire. Motivation....where are you?????

My Positives:

My Family.
That the weather stayed good for Garry to travel.
No snow (yet!)
Another year under my belt and a new one presented before me.
Being alive, so many blessings.

Have a wonderful Motivated Monday. Keep focused on your goals.
