Another blissful day of just being.

Yesterday was a perfect day for me to spend in quiet and meditation. Garry and Q left just after lunch for Saskatchwan, so the rest of my day was very quiet. Perfect for quiet activities.
It felt really good to concentrate on "me" and what I needed.
I made two trips outdoors, one to head to my massage appointment and one to the grocery store and headed right back home. I spent a lovely evening of reading a new book I have by Doreen Virtue, some of which resonates, some which isn't meant for me at this time.

My positives:

Garry and Q will be home around supper time tonight.
The girls are coming over and plan on cooking supper for all of us. YAY.
Afton, Q's young lady will be joining us. She is such a blessing.
All my vaccuming and floors are done.
Lots of fresh veggies in the fridge, enough to make veggie stir-fry for supper!
Had a great session with my massage therapist yesterday morning. Wendy is a great sounding board in my life.
Today is a new day, one to celebrate in.

Have a wonderfully blessed Sunday,

The blessedness of just being. Today was our pastor's 60th birthday, we had a card shower for him and cake and ice cream after service, I did not stay for the goodies, but had made him a funny birthday card. DD and I are going out to Pebbles later today to just see what they have in the way of dresses, need to find something for Dec. The temp on the bank was 37 when I came home from church, the temp has been dropping since this morning, we could even see a snowflake or two, oh my, lol. Glad you could have some me time this weekend. Thanks for helping me out once again with the daily challenges. Have a wonderful week.

I clicked on this just for the heck of it, and that's the mood I am in now. Relaxing. Of course I am getting in my miles at the beach, washing my car and I am just about to browse this site for a recipie for tonight.
Life is good.

November 13

Saturday, November 13, 2010

Half way through the month already! Today is my SIL's birthday and at the end of the month my MIL's birthday.
Garry and Quin are leaving today to head to his folks in Saskatachewan for overnight. All of Garry's siblings are going to be gathering together to surprise his Mom with a visit. Also to check up on their father, who is once again battling cancer. This will be his third major battle with the disease.

I got more clutter dealt with yesterday, laundry is all done, and I'm feeling lighter now that I am having the time to deal with some of the monkeys on my back. YAY!

My Positives:
No Snow!...yay, good traveling conditions for Garry and his siblings.
The girls are coming over tomorrow to share dinner with us. Garry and Quin are hoping to be back in time for dinner too. If they don't get back at meal time, there will be food when they do get home.
One more Christmas gift idea all in place, we are having one of Q's fabulous fishing pictures re-created into a 16x24 canvas picture. The picture will look great on his wall. It's all done with a protective coating so that it will not fade. As his life revolves around his fishing, it should be a great gift.
A gift that I had ordered for Kaeli for Christmas arrived yesterday also. She is a huge fan of Frank Lloyd Wrights work, and I found a beautiful "pop-up" book of his more famous pieces.
Being nudged with great ideas for gifts. I'm putting those "listen" skills to work and recalling things that have been said during the year(s) to help me as Christmas approaches as well as birthdays.
My monthly massage treatment this morning...woo hoo! I almost forgot about it!
Being so blessed.
Being willing to learn and grow spiritually, keeping an open mind and heart.

Have a wonderful Silly Saturday. Put the giggles into your day, you'll enjoy it so much more.

... sounds like we're both decluttering today - I've just come back in from another coupld of hours on the roof - it's 11C here today so I was VERY lucky I could work up there as I've just not had any time until now to get at it ... I just noticed some lettuces have reseeded themselves so I am going to try a little Winter gardening ... we'll see how long things can live up there ... I'll try to rig up some plastic protection for them. Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

November 12

Friday, November 12, 2010

The girls and I attended the Remembrance day services yesterday and as usual they were great. Also as usually I got teary-eyed. I do fine until the bagpipes start and then I'm a lost cause. Yesterday was especially touching as two of the young men that have recently died in the Afghanistan conflict were from here, one of whom went to school with my youngest daughter.

I did make a start on cleaning out the computer room so that the new floor can be installed. I'm down to now needing help to move the big pieces out, so a great start.

Today will be spent getting the laundry completed and doing some grocery shopping. Garry and Quin are hoping to get away tomorrow around noon to head to Kindersley where Garry's folks live. Garry's siblings are all gathering there this weekend for an impromtu visit. It will be nice for Garry to see all his siblings and his parents. It's his mom's birthday on the 30th, so will be a nice early gift for her to see all her kids.

My positives:
YAY, still no snow!
A great day with the girls yesterday, we went to the services and then out for lunch.
A good start on cleaning out the computer room.
Managed to make a start on organizing old photos.
Spent some time in meditation, feeling much more relaxed.
Taking steps to move forward in confidence with some changes in our lives.
Catching up on all my emails that I've been too tired to respond to.
I'm clearing out some clutter today(mentally too! Lol)
Acknowledgment of how blessed I am.

Have a wonderful Fabulous Friday...remind yourself of all the good qualitities you have, focus on the blessings in your life.

Remembrance Day

Thursday, November 11, 2010

November 11, Remembrance Day in Canada, Veteran's Day in the states.

Take the time today to hold in remembrance those who have lost their lives fighting for our freedom and the freedom of others. Don't let their lives be forgotten.

I'm picking the girls up at 10am and we are heading to the services. Garry's place of business, unfortunately does not close today, so he must be a work. He will take his time of remembering at 11am regardless.

I'm hoping I can persuade the girls to go into the city with me this weekend to have some girl time together, I'll see if they have other plans when I talk to them later.

My Positives:

I am looking so forward to these next few days off work. Time to recharge and possible arrive at some conclusions.
My project of cleaning out the computer room is on today's agenda...once that is done, then maybe Garry will have the time to get the new flooring laid down. We've had it for months, just haven't had the energy to tackle the project.
No Snow...we are supposed to get rain on Monday...but YAY no snow!
I've begun my Christmas shopping and am excited about my finds.
Time today to get a nice meal made for dinner tonight.
Being blessed by guidance yesterday.
The assurance that I am on the right path.

Have a wonderful day today...remember our troops.

I am ever so thankful for our freedoms because of what all the men and women and families of all have sacrificed for our freedoms and our great United States of America and yes, Canada. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Wanda, like Gary I'm working today at my new job...the old job takes the holiday.

A thank you to all our veterans for putting their own lives on the line to protect our freedoms...in both our countries. I remember reading somewhere that of all the countries in the world, Canada has been the closest and longest serving ally of the United States. Thank you, Canada.

Happy Hump Day!

Wednesday, November 10, 2010

Yay, it's Wednesday, half way through the work week. In my case...all the way through this work week. Tomorrow being Remembrance Day, we are closed and I've taken Friday off to make a nice 4 day weekend. Woo Hoo.

Spun the wheel this morning and came so close to the 500 spark points. The pointer just balanced on the 20 point side of the divider...I'll take the 20 points very happily though.

Nothing much to report, yesterday was a good day over all, some low points and many high points. The low points were dealt with yesterday and I refuse to carry them forward into today. So yesterday is where they will stay.

My Positives:

Awareness is becoming a greater part of my life.
I'm learning to claim what I need in life (want and need being two different things)
No snow (yet)
A lovely long weekend to look forward to. Time for some meditation work and study.
My family.
God in my life.

Have a wonderful day, keep your focus.
