The swelling in my nose is retreating with the antibiotics. YAY! I can breath again! I can't help but laugh at the absurbness of how I ended up with the infection in the first place...who would have thought cayenne pepper could cause so many problems!
Another busy work day ahead of me. Lots of orders that need to be input and that makes me happy. Big perk of my job, is that, when I input the orders, I get to place any of the books I'd like to read on hold for myself. I have read so many books that I might otherwise have not read just because I didn't know about them!
It's bonus points week at the grocery store this week, so will be stopping to get groceries after work today. Time to stock up on the necessities and fruits and veggies. Father's day this Sunday...so a little extra special things are on the list. The girls will be coming over for dinner. Garry wants to have a BBQ at home, and as it's his special day...he gets to choose what he wants to do.
My nose is getting better.
Checked my potatoes yesterday and they are sure growing! Not sure exactly when I'm supposed to start "hilling" them, but according to one source, it's when the plants get above the container rim...and at the rate they are going that might be this weekend. Yay...fresh potatoes this fall.
My tomato plants are doing not too bad, the flowers on the other hand are not recovering from the snow we had at the beginning of the month.
Took my break yesterday and got some walking in. That's my goal again for today. I need to develop the habit of taking my breaks and moving during them once again.
Some lovely fresh veggie snacks to take to work with me today. Garry, bless his heart stopped and picked me up some on his way home from work yesterday.
Farmer's Market tomorrow evening...I'll head there also for some fresh veggies.
Life...it's so filled with blessings...all we have to do is open our eyes and hearts to them.
Have a wonderfully blessed day. Remember, it's your choice what your attitude is.

My long weekend is over and it's back to the salt mines today. Yesterday saw me spending most of the day indoors unfortunately. The wind made it too chilly to sit outside for any length of time and even going for a walk wasn't an option with my nose making it difficult to breath. Oh well, today is a new day and despite going to work with some swelling still apparent, I'll survive. Hopefully the antibiotics will kick in soon and begin there work of assisting my body to fight the infection.
I made a very yummy veggie stir-fry for dinner last night...I even made sure there was left overs so that Garry and I could have ready made lunch today. Veggie stir-fry is one of my favorite meals. It's a clean out the fridge kind of meal. I love using up veggies that are left over in the fridge in this manner.
My goal today is to take my breaks at work and do some walking. I really need to get back in the habit for many reasons. Taking that break from the computer screen, being the biggest reason.
Health care, it's there when a person needs it.
That it's been over a year since I've had the need to go to a doctor.
Breathing a bit easier this morning...antibiotics must be doing their job!
A short work week...only 4 days.
Making some head way on this week's to do list.
Glad to be going back to work today...I've run out of reading material! By being at work...I can easily walk out of my department and go and select some books ! (I work at a library)
Life...ahhhhh, how often we take it for granted instead of appreciating all that it has to offer us.
Have a wonderful Talking Tuesday....yep, it's Talking Tuesday....take the time to interact with those around you and those you haven't talked to for too long.

Wouldn't you know it, a morning that I did not have to get up at 4:30 am, and guess who is wide awake!! Well, I might as well be productive, if I'm not going to be sleeping. lol
I woke up yesterday morning with some swelling on(in) the right side of my nostril. It's visibly swollen on the outside too. I'm not able to breath properly on that side. Not sure why, as I don't have a cold or any such thing. The only thing that did occur was that the evening before I was sneezing lots, so not sure what happened. I tried cold compresses on it yesterday and still this morning, it's swollen and very tender. I don't like using nasal sprays as they tend to burn, but other than going to the doctor, not sure what else to do. Hmmmm.
Strange dreams, strange body swelling...life is never boring that's for sure. lol
We had a lovely rain shower during the night, still overcast this morning. My garden is enjoying the rain and then the sunshine during the day. I see tiny little beginnings of my carrots attempting to push their way up through the soil. Still watching for the lettuce and the green onions to make a show of appearance.
A day off work today, so if I decide to head to the doctors, I'll have the time today.
My garden is showing lots of signs of growing at least.
A beautiful sunny day yesterday and family time.
Even though I can't breath out of the right side of my nose...I've still got the left side that is working!
I may have woken up early this morning on my day off, but it's my day, so if I choose to take a nap later I can! Woo Hoo.
A brand new day to be creative in.
Have a wonderful day. Creative an awesome day by having a positive attitude.

Ahhh, what a glorious sun filled day yesterday was. Once I had my massage, transplanted some plants, made a visit down to Garry and tested out some vehicles, came home and finished the laundry...it was time to spend some relaxing time out on the back deck with my book, water bottle and the sun!
Once the sun moved off my garden area, I misted the plants thoroughly (mostly to keep the dirt wet so the cat from next door would stop "visiting".) Then I decided to try out a remedy I'd been told about...cayenne pepper sprinkled over the garden is supposed to keep the cats away. So dug out my "spice" and headed back out to the garden and very liberally sprinkled it all over the garden as well as along the tops of the quarry stone border. I'll check in a bit to see if it made any difference!
My massage treatment yesterday went a long way to working the kink out of my back. Wendy also did some Reiki on me, which was very appreciated.
Laundry all done.
Garry, Kaeli and I headed out to Kelsey's for a great salad supper last evening. None of us were very hungry, and a salad sounded like a great supper.
Lovely phone conversation with my aunt. Caught up on each others news.
Phoned my friend who lost her son a month ago to see how she is doing. It was nice to talk with her once again.
A gorgeous sunny day outside today also! Woo Hoo. More family time.
Have a wonderful serenity Sunday. Make sure that you take some time today to recharge yourself and relax.

Yay, today is my monthly massage day and boy do I need it today. A couple of days ago, I moved funny at work and ended up with a "charlie horse" in my back. It just doesn't want to go away, so I'm very hopeful that Wendy will be able to work it out this morning. When I wake up in the morning, it's not too bad, but as the day progresses, it progresses.
Brought a plant home from work to transplant this weekend. Poor thing really needs a new pot. It's been in the same pot for the 10 years I've been there and last Monday, it just toppled over onto the floor! I will give it some much needed new dirt and a pot and hopefully it will continue to thrive.
Some how I absorbed the duty of tending to the plants at work. We have several in our department, which I'm very appreciative of. They not only look nice, but they are ones that help to keep the air clean. A very big plus in my opinion.
Looks like Garry might have my vehicle sold once again. This one lasted the usual amount of time...6 months. My last vehicle(Rendevous) I got very attached to, as I had it for just over a year. Usually the vehicles I drive are only in my possession for 6 months. I'm blessed that Garry works in the industry and I always have safe vehicles to drive. So today, I'm supposed to go down to Garry's place of business and we'll go through some options of what I might be driving next!
A beautiful sunny day is shaping up.
Laundry almost finished.
I get to look at new vehicles today and possibly find one that meets all Garry's criteria.
I love my new tool for extracting dandelions from our lawn. It's earth friendly! and it actually works!
Kaeli came over for a visit last evening...always fun to spend time with her.
Garry was home last evening also...I really love having my family around me.
There is a full day ahead of me to enjoy and be creative in.
Have an awesome day. Take the gift you have been given "today" and enjoy it to the very last second.
