What a great workshop last night. I started out the evening cautiously and skeptical (not a bad way to go into things) and ended up going Wow! It was a very small group only 8 of us, so I think that might have made the difference in how much and what type of experiences we all had. I did not book a one on one session with Chris, as he was completely booked up for one on one's. I would seriously consider booking should he come back again. I have just as many questions now as I did going in, but they are all new questions! lol.
I'm one of those people that hates leaving loose ends, I to have everything figured out! Makes for a very interesting life. lol

Got home last evening around 11:30 pm to a phone message from a cousin that I haven't spoken to (other than email) for far too many years. We will get to see her on our brief holiday...yay!

This morning started bright and early, load of laundry on the go, been out the door to take Garry to pick up his car, now catching up here and I'll be heading out the door again in a few minutes to pick up Kaeli. We are heading into the city to the Farmer's Market. Then to the furniture store, as Kaeli wants to check out a new sofa, then more Girl time shopping! Not sure if Shy is coming or not, the morning might be starting to early for her. Love spending time with family.
Garry is going to putter around the house and do some chores he says.

I came home yesterday to a very lovely and clean house. Garry had a day off work yesterday and vaccumed all levels of the house, dusted, and cleaned out my fridge for me and cleaned the kitchen. Think I'll keep that man! What a wonderful treat to come home to.

My positives:

My husband, who on his day off, does things to make my life more wonderful.
Shopping with Kaeli (and possibly Shy)
A great and interesting workshop last night.
Learning that by stepping outside my comfort zone, is actually a very freeing experience.
Hearing Christine's voice for the first time in over 40 years.
A beautiful sunny day.
Life....it's amazing.

Okay, be prepared. I will try and post a picture after work today.
Yesterday was haircut day and I went "bold" with my choice of color for the streak that I've been playing with in my hair! Yep, decided to leave the safe zone behind and have some fun. I'm leaving the purple and blue streaks now for winter...I've gone Caribbean, lol. I've got a lovely turquoise streak now!

I can't imagine having done this even a couple of years ago. But I decided then, that life is too short not to have some fun and try all the things I've always wanted to try but was too big a chicken. One more item that I can now cross off my "list".

My positives:
Being brave, and saying I matter not everyone else's opinion of what someone my age should or should not be doing.
Workshop to attend this evening.
Great day yesterday supporting our co-worker at her awards ceremony.
Beautiful warm weekend predicted weatherwise.
Shopping with my girls this weekend...always a fun time.
Stepping outside my comfort zone and having some fun.

It's long service awards day at work today. One of my co-workers will be recognized for 5 years of service. The county puts on the awards and provides a lovely lunch for all it's long service employees. It's a lovely gesture and our department will get to go to the lunch in support of Deanne.
It's hard to believe that next year will be 10 years for me at this job!

My positives:
The opportunity to celebrate with a co-worker.
Haveing a great job and working for a great employer.
Hair cut today....I will no longer look like the "shaggy dog" by the end of the day!
Life, it's filled with so many blessings.

Have a wonderful day. Keep on moving towards your goals, set new ones if you've reached the old ones and embrace life.

Half way through the work week!

Today is the half way mark for the work week, added bonus...it's also payday! Gotta love payday! lol

Income tax refunds arrived yesterday also, which means today, Garry will go and pay off the RRSP loan. One more debt completed. YAY! Such a feeling of freedom when you are able to cancel out a debt.

Another busy day ahead of me at work, I'm attempting over the next few days to get all my orders caught up and placed before the end of the month. This way I won't be snowed under when I get back. I'll be in First aid training for two days the last week of April as well as in an Emergency Planning meeting for most of another day, which means no ordering being done right before I leave. Oh well, such is life. I can only do what I can do.

My positives:

Income tax refunds have arrived, yay another debt bites the dust!
Making progress on our path to financial freedom! We are so glad that we gave up using credit cards 10 years ago. It was the best decision we ever made. If we don't have the money, we don't get it until we do have the money! I love knowing that the only bills we have coming in each month are the utilities.
(We do have one card for emergency only, or for making hotel reservations etc, where you are required to give them a credit card, but we have never paid any interest charges as what ever is put on it is paid off that month)
Knowing that if anything were to happen to Garry or I, we are not leaving debt behind for our spouse or children.
Being blessed in so many ways each and every day.
