Day 6 - One of the best challenges so far!

Wednesday, March 12, 2008

This has been one of the best challenges to date. I am excited to blog and feel so energized as I read about others positive moments in their day. Nothing lifts a person up more than to be surrounded or read about others blessings.
It's only afternoon and already my day has been fantastic.

1. Didn't have to work today, so got to spend the day with youngest daughter who didn't have to work either. We had a fabulous time at the shopping mall, wandering, laughing and trying on clothes.
2. 3 hours of mall walking = 116 calories burned according to the pedometer....woo hoo!
3. I tried on a pair of size 14 pants and they fit! Comfortably too! Woo Hoo...at Christmas (same store) the size 16's were tight!
4. I had lunch at the food court and there was a Subway there...had a veggie delite (no cheese) and they gave me the nutritional info....only 230 calories for 167 gram sandwich. It was even good!
5. I got home and came on the computer and have been reading some super positive blogs! Sportzfan25, you rock. Kathy and Meychey you rock also. Sportzfan25 and Kathy, I would like to let you know just how much your accepting of the challenge to blog a positive each day has meant to me. It is so uplifting to read your blogs. Thank you.

I'm sure before my day is over there will plenty more in the way of positives in my day. For now I will just say....What an awesome day....hope yours is as good as mine has been.
Take the time to find your positives and blog them, you will be delighted with the outcome.

Day 5 life just doesn't get any better!

Tuesday, March 11, 2008

Posting a positive each day this week has been a delightful challenge. What gets better than reviewing your day and realizing that your day really has been filled with good things.
I'm not talking about big things like winning the lotto, although that would be wonderful, I'm talking about the smile someone gave you, the post from a friend that offers encouragement, the hug from your child, those kinds of things....the little things that really make a huge impact in your life.
Each day before I get out of bed, I'm already thanking my God, my angels and my guides for granting me another day to be the best that I can be. For surrounding me and opening my eyes to all the blessings that are on their way to me for this day. For protecting my family and helping us all to feel God's presence in our lives and to make wise life choices. Then my feet hit the ground and already I'm feeling energized and excited about what is in store for me this day.
I never used to be this way, then I began studying and reading various books because I just knew there had to be something better than the way I was living my life. Over the past few years I have learned that I am the creator of my life. I am the one responsible for what I get out of each day. That what goes around comes around...in other words if I'm going to project negativity...then that is what I will have surrounding me. But on the other hand, if I project positivity....guess what....things just get better! I face the same adversities that every other person deals with on a daily basis, I just choose to find the positive in it and focus on all the good. The more I focus on the positive and good in life, the more I am surrounded by it.
Yep, life just doesn't get any better! Life is good.
Today my positive is just that....my life is great!

Surprise yourself....start projecting positivity on a daily basis and see if your life doesn't change for the better.

Wanda - You hit it again! Think gloom & doom & that's what you'll face. Think happy, good thoughts & nice things come our way. You're right...it doesn't get any better than that! Marla

That is a wonderful way to start the day, even before you get up. i also believe that we create our days, our lives, and the direction it takes depends largely on us. So if you start the day positively, you will attract more positive things into your day, I believe the reverse is also true, that's why we have those days when everythng seems to go wrong, since we are concentratiing on the negative, and it brings more of that into your path.
Thanks for reminding me of starting the day positively. I'll remember that when i wake up tomorrow morning!

Wanda, how delightful your post was to read. Please send titles of those positive readings my way.

I swear, sometimes I can't see the gray clouds for the rain! Eeyore and I have much in common, although admittedly, my lifestyle and health changes are helping to create a new and more positive me.

Thanks always for your wonderful insight and encouragement.
Happiness. Meychey

Day 4 Now this is a great positive!

Monday, March 10, 2008

Okay, okay, you are all probably tired of hearing about my great day today, but hey this doesn't happen every day so I'm dancing a jig and jumping up and down with delight.

I'VE MADE IT TO MY HALF WAY POINT....WOO HOO! 50 pounds eliminated plus one more for good measure! Now that is a great positive!

I have also been very blessed by the number of you who have stopped by and left me such warm words of encouragement. Now on to the next half...50 more pounds by August 2008.
So a big thank you to all of you who have supported and encouraged me to make my health a priority.

Have a wonderful day and if I can do this, so can you. Keep on making wise choices and praising yourselves for each moment, hour, day that you make those wise choices.

Wanda - You are such an inspiration to me & all of us. 50 lbs. ELIMINATED for good.... wow! Imagine carrying around a 50 lb. sack of potatoes everyday then finally setting it down & letting it go. I am so proud of you. How long did it take you to get this weight off? There is no doubt in my mind that you will get that 50 more off that you want to. You have such determination & set such positive goals. Congrats! Luv Marla

Day 3 Still filled with positives!

Sunday, March 09, 2008

What a wonderful day today, the sun was shining, my eldest daughter joined me in a fantastic walk. A chance to share mother/daughter moments, to be together just the two of us.
I heard from a spark friend (Marla) who said such lovely things that she brought tears of joy to my eyes. To know that I have had a small part in helping someone else find the positives in their life is such a blessing.
My husband makes the best salads as well as he likes to cook Sunday suppers. It's such a treat to have someone else prepare the meal.
I had time for me today and spent the time engrossed in a very interesting book .
I know we are only required to blog about one positive in our day, but mine are always filled with so many that I have a hard time limiting my blog to just one.
Life is fantastic!
What's your positive in your day?

Oh Wanda....Your walk with your daughter sounded wonderful. Out there in the sunshine & nice fresh air. Mother & daughter moments are so important.
As far as helping me find the positives in my life, you continue doing it daily! Just reading your blogs or posts brightens things up & reminds me to continue to look for the positives out there.
We could all dwell on our everyday problems, things that make us angry, our poor health, aches & pains, lack of money, worries...but it doesn't help. It's good to think of the love of our family, wonderful friends, getting healthier and waking up to another glorious day & being thankful we woke up alive to share it with others. That's what I called being Blessed. Thank you for being YOU Wanda!

Day 2 Positive

Saturday, March 08, 2008

Day 2, a great day filled with lots of positives.

The best part of today was being able to spend time with my husband. He didn't have to work today...a rarity. We spent the day wandering around outdoors and in stores and just being together. The sun was shining and the temperature was nice.
I also had my theraputic massage today, always a treat, and I got my hair cut. Things were on a very positive note today and the list of positives just keeps growing.
Did I mention that I really am enjoying this challenge?
