I didn't get to the mall to do my walking yesterday as originally planned.
I started out my morning by deciding to wash all the bedding and then that lead to doing all the laundry, which also lead to organizing the linen closet, which lead to organizing all the closets, which lead to other cleaning projects, then vaccuming ...well you get the picture!
Garry came home just after noon and said he didn't have to go back in and let's go check out flooring and prices for the rest of the floor that we need to do in the house. We also stopped at the kitchen place to see when the pedestal for under the kitchen island would be here and ready for installation. Woo Hoo, sometime next week. We also made arrangement to have the spice rack removed and that cupboard refitted with shelves only. The spice rack was not working, so we are going to look at using one of the drawers to hold all my spices. I'm looking forward to spring so that we can finish off all the touchup painting in the kitchen. I'll be able to open the windows. (For those who don't know, I'm extremely sensitive to chemical fumes...yes, even the voc paint gets to me!)

Today, I'm just taking the day as it comes. We are supposed to go out to dinner this evening with some friends, I'll know for sure if it's still on sometime this morning.

My Positives:
Laundry is all done
House is nicely cleaned
Closets are looking better
Possible dinner out this evening
A new day to be creative
Great giggles already shared on Silly Saturday post.
Yep...just plain and simple...life!

Have an awesome day, keep on moving forward, smile and enjoy your day.

Wow! I'm in awe. So what if you didn't get to the mall?
You certainly got your workout for the day (and then some!).

You are incredible!!!!! Take the rest of the day off, woman. (My treat!)

You just got a great start on your spring cleaning. I should put the linen closet on my to-do list now that you've mentioned it. Mine could use a bit of reorganizing and straightening. As others have said, you undoubtedly got a great work-out in the process. Yeah for productive cardio workouts!

Well ya know Wanda that all that cleaning was great cardio!!! Bending, stretching, lifting, tugging...... all that good stuff was as good as a walk at the mall.

My positive for today is the same one I have everyday or at least try to: Everything around me is positive and beautiful.

Even the stinkin' snow

Feb 12 Fabulous Friday!

Friday, February 12, 2010

Yay, I got to sleep in until 7am! It's still dark out, but we are now seeing daylight now by 8:30 am and it's not getting dark now until just after 5pm. Woo Hoo the days are getting longer.

I'm going to tackle all the laundry today, which will leave my weekend completely free. Still planning of doing some walking at West Edmonton Mall. And yes, it will take me an hour to walk both levels at a decent pace! It is a huge mall...try googling it!

My Positives:
I have a 4 day weekend before me!
Lots of time for exercising.
Garry doesn't have to work the whole day either, quality time!
Doing some more de-cluttering...going to attempt to take pictures of all my doll collection and see how to go about putting them up for sale. Any interested Doll collectors out there? lol
Having possessions matters less and less to me as I evaluate what is really important to my life.
My spiritual growth that occurs with God's guidance.

Thanks for your visit....keep on being a creator, make your day the kind of day you love.

Enjoy your long weekend and your walk at the mall. I can't imagine what it's like being dark in the morning until 8:30 am. I'd be worthless until the sun came up. It's hard enough for me when the sun isn't up until around 7 and I go to work at 8. Yikes. Yeah for the longer days.

Have a fabulous Friday!

Feb 11

Thursday, February 11, 2010

Today is my last day of work for this week. I have tomorrow off work...yay...a really Fabulous Friday tomorrow! lol. This means that I will have a 4 day weekend as Monday is considered Family Day here in Alberta.

Garry will be away all weekend, including Monday on a course for his work...so I'm planning on a weekend of walking. I haven't been to West Ed mall for awhile...it's a great place to get in some indoor walking. If you go before the stores open and just walk, it takes you just over an hour to walk both levels at a decent pace. It's a nice change of scenery and surprisingly enough there are lots of people that use the space as a walking track.
As long as the roads and the weather are good...I'll head into the city.

My positives:
The oil of Oregano seems to be working. Perhaps it's my imagination...but it appears to be doing it's job.
I've got lots of great reading material ready for the weekend.
I'm busy at work, a nice steady stream of work coming across my desk. (I don't like not being busy!)
My "bucket list" has been done for another year. It was a fun exercise to do and share. I usually update my list every year. It's amazing the things you can cross off as being completed or at least recognize that you have started.
A great new picture of my granddaughter. They took gold at their Cheering squad competitions.
Friends and family.
God, who continues to show me ways that I can learning and grow.

Thanks for stopping be for a visit. Have a wonderful Thursday,

Have a great 4 days!!!!!

I love reading about what a great time you have with your family. That's a truly special thing. I hope one day Dom and I are able to build a family as strong and supportive as the one you have.

That must be one huge mall! We have a big one in Chicago that I love to go to (for shopping purposes), but I'm sure it wouldn't take an hour even to walk all of the levels. Enjoy your long weekend!

there is nothing better than having the luxury of time in your life to use as you like. it is like having your birthday and Christmas all rolled into one nice, cool package.

I hope you enjoy yourself and your walks. I look forward to mine because somewhere in that walk I always have an epiphany of sorts.

Have a blessed Thursday.

I finally completed my new updated bucket list yesterday and I posted it in a blog.
Tina...mines done now and I'm sharing it. It is enjoyable to read others bucket lists to see once again how much we all have in common.

Only managed to get 55 minutes of free step in on the Wii last evening before I got interrupted. But that's okay, it was only 5 minutes short of my goal of 60 minutes. Today I will attempt to make up for it!

Everytime I turn on the news, I'm in awe of what is happening in our weather patterns. Usually we are the ones that are getting the dumps of snow, this year, although we have lots, it's not been major dumps all at once. We have been having a relatively mild winter temperature wise also. Maybe we are becoming the "new" south!!!

My positives:
If I can take Friday off from work, I'll have a four day weekend! It's Family Day on Monday, so we are closed.
I'm settling into a great routine for my exercise.
My clothes are looser.
My arms feel more toned once again.
I am open to receiving what ever blessings God brings my way today.

Have an awesome day, keep on creating your own positive reality.

I ran into a pizza delivery man in the elevator last night. He was bemoaning the snow and sleet and stuff and I looked at him and said "It's winter, it's supposed to snow." He looked at me like I was a genius.

I have an 84 year old friend who gets up every morning at 3:00 AM and opens the local YMCA at 5:00 AM. Every morning I ask him how he is doing and his response is always the same. "Any day above ground is a good day." I am trying really hard to live that in my life and I know winter brings snow, but gosh some days its a real test.

Have a good one

This is a FANTASTIC list! So many things inspired me that there are too many to count! I'm so happy to hear you've cruised the Panama canal--I've always wanted to visit more places in Latin America (I spent a summer in Mexico in 2007 and it was amazing.) I hope you get your Zen garden -- and red door. And if you ever want to practice your Spanish, let me know! I majored in Spanish literature as an undergrad.
