I must have been having stress dreams or been clenching all my muscles while sleeping last night. I woke up about 3 am with a headache. I laid there for the next hour trying to relax all my muscles, but finally gave it up as a bad job and got out of bed. Once I had a hot shower, that seemed to release some of the tension. I will take things easy today and take some time for meditation. Usually when this happens, there is a change about to occur in my life. I just need to relax and go with it. The headache has subsided but there is still residual.
I'm off to work shortly, but seeing as it's Friday and I'm caught up with my work, I do believe that I will use up some of my overtime hours and come home early today.

My positives:
That I'm more willing to listen to my inner voice and guidance system.
IT"S FRIDAY! (if you don't know by now...I love Fridays LOL)
Meditation time.
A free weekend coming up, nothing planned.
I'm being consistant with my increased exercise and watching my calories closely.
God, who continues to bless this family in so many ways.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit. Have a wonderfully blessed day. Enjoy the opportunity to create a day of your choice.

Hugs,
Wanda

glad you have the weekend to decompress and get yourself back and find out what's around the corner. I've cancelled somethings I was going to do this weekend and will use my time to relax too - sometimes it's necessary (gotta love the weekend and the fact that we have these choices)

Great that you've got such wonderful insight and intuition (and trust it!).

Be kind and pamper yourself today. You deserve it and you're worth it.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Not a lot of interest to the general world in my life yesterday, but it was a great day.
I was steady busy at work, came home to a nice evening at home or relaxation. I had time to do some extra free step on the Wii. Managed to get in a full 60 minutes of free step...woo hoo burned 304 calories! Kept within my calorie range and on target with my goals.
Lots of positive energy happening on the team. That is always such a boost of encouragement when I read how well everyone is doing.

My Positives:
The Positive Bloggers.
Even average days are blessed!
Three trophies yesterday from SP...they are always such a nice surprise to receive. Thank you SP!
Life!

Have a fanatastic Thursday everyone, keep on working towards those goals. You are only going no where if you are standing still!

Hugs,
Wanda

The Wii sounds like good fun ... I'm saving my pennies until I know what's going on at work but should we be successful in averting a strike I think I just might look into this! I'm really glad you are going to be able to read some of these books. I am really enjoying Thrifty - she is very readable - I don't want to finish it. Gaylas Grow Great Grub is a 'thing' of beauty ... it even feels good holding it - like a magazine it's so supple.

Sounds like a blessed day. Have another today!

And to follow your quote: Even if you're on the right track, if you're not moving, you will still get run over...

Yesterday turned out to be a very wonderful day.

After finding out in the morning that the garage door was going to cost us $90 an hour to have someone come out, look at, and fix it and that they couldn't come until today, it was fantastic to come home from work to discover that our son had looked at it and fixed it! Free of charge! And if it happens again, he figures he knows what he needs to do to fix it! On top of that, once again our furnace had quit working. The repairmen can't seem to find out what is wrong with it, but YAY for Q, he got it going again for me.

I had a great evening with the girls. They came over for supper and then we sat down to watch the season premiere of LOST. It was great to watch the "final chapter" prior to the new season beginning, as it helped to reacquiant us with what had taken place. Next week, according to the girls, I'm supposed to go over to their place. Seems like this might be one of those shows that we'll watch together!

My positives:
Furnace is working again.
Garage door is working again.
Quin.
A wonderful evening with the girls.
Mauri....Happy Birthday!
Our weekly challenge that keeps me accountable.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit. Have an incredible day...remember it's up to you!

Hugs,
Wanda

How wonderful that your garage door is ok now! My fridge parts arrived last night (now I just need to sit down and figure out how to take the old bits apart and get the new bits back on)! It will happen.

Happy Ground Hog Day!

Tuesday, February 02, 2010

We've got snow coming down this morning here, so thinking we might not even see the groundhog!

Today, Garry has to get a hold of the garage door repair people. Last night the garage door railing broke away from where it was attached! Poor Q went to come in and the door broke. Thankfully we were able to get it closed again, but now it needs repairs. Just trusting that it won't be difficult or expensive to repair. Our garage door is our main way of entering our house.

I'm out the house door this morning with shovel in hand to tend to what has fallen already. Calorie burning time once again.

My Positives:
Although the garage door is broken, we were able to get it closed again.
Calories to be burned shoveling snow.
The girls are coming over for supper tonight and to watch the season premiere of Lost.
It's my niece's birthday today. Although I haven't seen her for many years I still like to think of her on her special day.
I had a pretty good sleep last night, feeling much more rested this morning.
A busy day ahead at work. I like being busy as opposed to attempting to find things to do.
Life.

Have a wonderful day, keep on moving forward. Find your positives.

Hugs,
Wanda

I think I saw my shadow this morning. I thought today was the 2nd. It's the 3rd already. WAKE UP, NANCY! Tim is home. My routine will settle back in. There is hope for me. Glad you were able to get in some exercise up there in the snow. Talk about squeezing those lemons! Have a wonderful Wednesday. I look forward to catching up with you.
Love,
Nancy

the ground hog saw it's shadow ... more than 6 more weeks of winter! ... some kids here in Toronto got up early and took their photograph proving they didn't see their shadow and sent it to Breakfast Television this morning - so we're going with that!

February 1

Monday, February 01, 2010

A new month and continued determination to become healthy! January didn't see me with the scales dropping, but it did show results in a renewed commitment to keep moving forward. I have experienced my clothes once again feeling more comfortable and an increase in my energy level. Part due, I'm sure, to the stressful month of December being behind me, but also because I have stepped up my exercise routine. Part may also be due to the fact that we are now in the countdown to SPRING! Although sunshine is something we haven't seen for awhile.

Last month brought us a wonderful Motto created by Mauri, which she has generously allowed us to use at this year's team motto. It has brought us some new members to the team as well as renewed activitiy on the team. YAY POSITIVE BLOGGERS! Many of us that were stalled or had taken some steps backwards are once again moving forward and this summer promises to be a much healthier summer for all of us.

My positives:
Encouragement by team members through their support of the team and each other.
A fun weekend surprising Garry with his birthday present.
Geff will begin back to work today on a limited basis, but at least he will be coming back. We are such a close knit group at work that having one team member away really impacts the rest of us.
Got up earlier this morning thinking I was going to have lots of snow shoveling to do....but very little has come down since Garry shoveled snow about 8:30pm last night.
A new month.
Pay day this week! Woo Hoo!
Blessings that come my way each and every day. It's exciting to wake up knowing that there is bound to be something good occuring in my day.

Have a great Motivational Monday.

Hugs,
Wanda

We've made it through January and thank you for all those great weekly challenges to help keep us motivated and on track, they were a tremendous help to me, looking forward to what you have in store for us for February. We have such a great team and I am honored to be on this journey with every single team mate. Seeing Feb. is heart health month we need to see how many things we can do this month to promote a healthy heart, like getting enough sleep, eating more fruits and veggies, incorporating exercise into our daily routines, etc. We really do need to be nicer to ourselves. I think you did an excellent job in Jan. of doing the right things to help you move towards that healthier you and you also encouraged others along the way. You Rock!

Hugs,
Shirl
