Gardens for Peace

Wednesday, October 13, 2010

Last Friday we dedicated one of the gardens in the Arboretum as a Garden for Peace. It was a truly beautiful day. Everyone had stories and connections to the beautiful garden being honored.
Gardens for Peace is an international garden entity. The sole purpose is to recognize gardens around the world as places of healing and rest.

4290 Miles, give or takeDriving to Arizona and Back

Monday, April 26, 2010

Driving is not exactly the best way to lose weight. There is no time to walk when trying to drive 2100 miles in 3 days. I only got 3 good walks in during the wedding 'vacation'. One walk was pretty good. Up to the top of the Canyon and back at Apache Lake, Az. That was a great one hour hike with the doggie. After that it was all 'downhill' as we jumped in the vehicle and trucked home.
Arizona is gorgeous and we tried to imagine living there one day. Lots of sun. Sun is what I crave living here in drizzle town. (Seattle)
Meanwhile back to work today!

I live in Prescott Valley , AZ & it can/ does get HOT!!! Phoenix can get in excess of 115F & we are about 15 degrees cooler up here where I live.

Seattle can get wet but you can always dry off you may not always be able to cool off.
