I Did It !

I Ran My First 6K Cross Country,

I Arrived Early To Register At Mt Trash More, Virginia Beach

C~O~L~D ! @ 24 Degrees with the wind Chill Factor Felt like 10

My Hubby and a few friends were baffled as to why I wanted to Run in this Cold

Weather I said "Piece Of Cake"

I Talked to a few new Runners so that eased my mind. I was not Nervous at all.

Just wanted to hurry up and go Run to warm -up.


At 8am we were off Running , I saw Mile Markers, I knew I was good to go, up hills

down hills, now this was the tricky part. Hills I had no Idea but I hung in there

the run Consist of 2 LONG Complete Laps around the Grounds. Up and down

Hills.

I Came down from my last hill, knowing I'm headed to the Finish line.

I was not First nor was I last.

I Just Loved It ! Cold and All

    Woohoo! Saw your post saying you wanted help for 1/2 marathon training. I am planning this too but way behind you. I know TheCRAZYMANGO is training right now and was considering looking for a training buddy.

Either way, I am happy to support you and check in on you. Who knows you certainly could inspire me to keep going with my training.

Sparked into a 6K

I Sparked my way into a 6k

YES ! This will be my very First Run. I Spoke with a Team Captain,

assured me she would love to have me Run with them and there will be a Special

Token on my behalf at the end of the race since it's my first.

That alone sent tears of Joy !

I Felt like I was Speaking infarct of a group of Spark CEO's giving my Acceptance Speech.

I would like to Thank my Family, Spark and all my Spark Friends who

Encouraged, Motivated and Inspired me along the way since I joined in 2007.

Just her tone of voice made me feel more than welcome !

On Jan. 22, 2011 is my Run Day !

Pitty Party

I'm Back !

After Laying around feeling sorry for myself about what my Doctor told me about my health.

I Didn't EVEN think about Exercise and Journal Oh ! No !

Waddling around in self pitty, sweets and fats became my of comfort once again.

You know Just as a feel of warm blanket. The more I snuggled the more I was in Denial.

With Support from family and friends I knew I was Not alone.

Slowly I peeled back the blanket. I told myself "This Is NOT Me"

I Re-focused on all the hard work I put in before.

This has been my First Week back on track, Walking, Journaling, cutting out sweets Totally !

Thanks ! Spark friends

Life Is Good

I Loss 11 pounds this week.

    You can do it! Just track your food and exercise. If you are feeling down, read some of the success stories. It isn't easy, but we CAN lose the weight and be healthy again. We just have to want to do it.

You need a strong motivator to focus on. Hang in there..... emoticon

You RAWK!

Well done!!!

That is quite an accomplishment.

According to the literature, in the first two years after reaching goal weight, we have statistically almost 100% chance of gaining the weight back.

The next three years we have about a 70% chance of gaining it back, and after 5 years the chances of gaining it back are 50%.

Thank goodness as individuals we are NOT statistics, but living, breathing, thinking HUMAN BEINGS with free will and determination. LOL.

Congratulations on being one of the very VERY few who get there and MAKE IT STICK!

I hope to join you soon. 7.8 lbs to go...

    You are so right! I really needed this blog, thanks for kicking my butt! LOL. I just did it the other night, Little Debbie cakes. I let myself get really hungry by missing lunch and it killed my day in the end. My body went into vaccumn mode and I sucked down way too much, to quickly in sort of a frenzy. I learned that no matter what I have to carry a snack bag, everywhere. At least healthier than Little Debbie Cakes. Hehehe. Thanks for the wonderful blog. emoticon

    you make such a valid point...when i eat at restaurants or eat unhealthy chinese food i feel sooo stuffed that i can't or don't want to even get up and walk out the store...that is clearly an unnatural feeling...we have to know when to stop.
