Reached my weight loss goal!

I am very happy to report that I have reached my goal weight range, 155 - 158 lb. I am so glad to be back in this range. It is a wonderful feeling to be able to wear anything in my closet without fussing over whether it is snug or uncomfortable or unflattering.

One week of fast break

I have finished the first week of my fast break challenge.

1. Journal every day.
2. Drink 64 oz of water every day.
3. Get at least seven hours of sleep per day.

Out of the seven days, there was one day where I did not complete goal 2. Otherwise, it has been a successful week.

Long runs in hot weather

I met my fast break goals yesterday. I'm glad I started this fast break challenge.

I am trying to figure out what to do about the long runs in my training plan. I think the best solution is to get up early and do them before sunrise. That will take some schedule rearrangement. I already wake at 5 am each day so that I can cook breakfast and get things ready for the day. Maybe we'll just eat cold cereal on the mornings that Mama has a long run scheduled. They only occur once every two weeks so that does not disrupt the rest of the family too much.

Enjoying summer

I met my fast break goals yesterday.

My family has been taking every opportunity to enjoy the warm weather outside. We practically live outside and it is a good thing because our house is a wreck. I always forget how much easier it is to stay on top of household chores in the winter when we are all housebound. Right now, we are doing our best just to keep up with the dishes and the laundry. I guess a rainy day will come along soon enough and we can get caught up then.

Missed a goal

I had another great day but I forgot to drink water when I got home from work. As a consequence I missed out on meeting my water goal but I did complete the other two (journal entry, sleep).

Yesterday I had a good swim workout. I can tell that my stamina is improving after just four 30-minute sessions. Of course, I am starting from no swimming base at all so it should be easy to measure improvement at this point. I am going to ask my swim partner if she is ready to increase our time to 40 minutes on Thursday.
