One More MILE

Sunday, December 25, 2011

Success comes when you go the extra mile.

Some dietitians don't agree.
I personally feel that it is correct and can apply to most of ways of life.

Faulty statements

Thursday, December 22, 2011

today in the health news there is a letter which says that the journal SCIENCE has reported that scientists have discovered the virus which causes chronic fatigue syndrome, and that this report is wrong and they pulled it out.
One has to be careful in believing anything comes on papers, one has to wait for others to evaluate, and this is very important in evaluating all these articles written on nutrition and so forth.

My son has a theory especially regarding stuff written in glossy magazines, he says "if you believe it, you deserve it". emoticon

Blame yourself:

Sunday, December 18, 2011

Itís tempting to blame our parents or children for our chaos. However, blaming others moves us in the wrong direction.

Blame means to put responsibility on someone who didnt "do it"

Many of us had parents who played an important role in our eating habits, I know mine sure did. Its a parents resonsibility to prepare their child for the world - which includes having a normal relationship with food. My parents were the #1 reason for my having such messed up eating habits, my Dad has acknowledged it and somewhat appologized...

That being said, once you are an adult you are responsible for changing the behaviours you dislike. Ive also found that knowing where my problems stem from are essential to changing them. I want to have a good relationship with food so my kids will never battle obesity.

You've got that right. Too many people out there looking for someone else to blame other than themselves. In the end, we are responsible for our own lives.

Very often our parents or children are to blame for the start of our chaos, BUT, we often keep ourselves in that state long after the parents and kids have left. No matter what the past was, we should learn to keep it there...in the past. We should create new beginnings which will create a new present, one we can be proud of.
