Been so busy... doing various things. Working. Visiting various family folk. Shopping. Christmas business. Busy-ness!
Missed 2... ok Friday makes it 3 days of workouts. Been getting home super late. Plus I've been still battling this cold that's trying to get a grip of me. Night Nurse and Day Nurse are my saviours at the moment.
Working out tomorrow. FOR SURE. And starting C25K Week 3 Day 1! Bring it on! After last minute shopping. See how early i wake up.
I am the most unorganised person in the WORLD. Honest.
And I got me some blue hair. Check it out.
I have never been this adventurous in my whole life.

Blah! Gosh sometimes I'm so... scatty. I have plans in my head but I completely forget about other plans that are happening, and so the head plans are pushed out because the other plans have been properly made, and then I don't understand why the head plans didn't happen, even though I didn't have time because other plans were taking place! ...
Okay. Friday. No workout. This was NOT planned because I FORGOT about plans that were CONCRETE. I booked tickets months ago for the hubby and I to see Roy 'Chubby' Brown (Not everyone's cup of tea comedian) ... and I didn't realise it was over in Manchester. So we had to finish work, and get over to Manchester in time for the show. We also wanted to have a meal, as we'd planned to make this a little 'us' night back when we booked. To make it easier on ourselves, we booked a last minute hotel room in Manchester, so we rushed out of work, rushed to our hotel, changed, rushed to the show, went for a meal, got back to hotel and crashed out. We were so tired. Full week at work. I'd brought my workout stuff to do a hotel room workout before the show but time was zapped away too fast!!! In the morning it was another rush, rise and shine, breakfast, work (for the hubby) and last minute shopping for me!
BUT - There's a slight positive here. I did eat a meal on Friday night - but my breakfast in the hotel was SUPER choiced. I had a fruit salad plus a wholemeal piece of toast with honey. MAJOR proud of this because I can NEVER usually resist a full cooked breakfast on offer... and being in a hotel kind of puts you in the 'holiday' frame of mind, yet I was SENSIBLE! 10 points Steph!!!
Saturday. Good food choices again. Again I had the option of having a naughty lunch with my sister and niece... But I chose a 'superfood' salad consisting of seeds, quinoa, fruits & berries, AND I didn't use the dressing either. 10 points Steph!!!
Fail Saturday night, as the husband and I ordered in Indian food. :-/ Also no workout... Laziness set in Saturday night. So, no workout Friday or Saturday.
Sunday morning (Happy 65th Birthday Mum!) I expected to go to work, but it turned out I didn't have to (Yay!) - and I'd already done a quick 4 minute workout (day3) BodyRock plus the abs bonus, as I was stretched for time... found out I didn't have to work AFTER my shower, so didn't want to get sweaty again and need another shower.
Spent the day at my Mum's with my family, eating Mum's homemade foods. Stew, crusty bread, scones, birthday cake, oh and ... CHEESE PIE. I did not resist Mum's cooking at all. Thing was though, I felt great. I put something nice on and got a lot of compliments, and my good training through the week made me feel better and leaner and plain good.

So anyways - Monday!
I rushed to work. Blah. No breakfast. So for lunch I had Subway. I had sweet onion chicken terryaki - which is BETTER for me than other subs. PLUS... guess what? I so badly wanted a footlong sub - BUT i ordered and settled for a 6 inch sub. Some points for that? Yes please!
Really tired getting home as yesterday was such a long and lovely day (with the odd glass of champagne) and also I have had the sniffles all day long... so feeling a bit blah. Got changed and did Workouts 4 and 5 of BodyRock's Christmas challenge, and the abs bonus again. I improved the abs scores, so that's goooooooood. Also, I feel great now and am glad I did something.
I'm a little behind on C25K as I should have done Day 3 by now but haven't. Hopefully tomorrow.
I've gone on enough now! Time for a (magic) NightNurse and bed. Please go away cold!!

I've been checking BodyRock all day, to leave the site in a huff with no 3rd day update, which really should be yesterday 14th, but they posted the 13th on the 14th, so I thought, it's fine, it'll just be late, it'll be online by the time I get home.
I was pretty gutted. :( And thought grrrr... i have to search for a workout now !! So i went over to MYOMYTV and found a Kettlebell workout. Alriiiight! ;) Condition Your Body, Strengthen Your Mind. www.myomytv.com/condition-your-body-

Phew! I have some major respect for Marianne. That lady is hard to the core. Booya!
Treadmill straight afterwards for Day 2 of Week 2 C25K. I surprised myself even haha, I just don't think about it and move and press start before I can get into decisions with myself. I was really tired to begin with and walked slower than I have been. The running was hard and I found myself watching the clock until I could stop. The last few 90 second runs though, my shuffle gave me some songs I'm loving right now, which really lifted me up, plus I knew I was nearly done... So i ran faster and kept the walking to a good brisk walk. Ended on a high, and ended up doing an extra run when i was supposed to do the cool down - by accident, oops!
Food choices were back to super good today. So i'm happy! I used some Jamaican Jerk seasoning on my grilled chicken breast and oooh very nice! How cool are these shakers you can buy now? Full of all the seasoning you need... great ideas.
In other news, I found some e45 cream I had lying around. I haven't mentioned it here but the tops of my hands have really dried out this week. A mixture of the cold weather, washing dishes more often (that's healthy eating for ya :P) and just plain getting my hands wet too much... ugh so my knuckles have actually been cracking and bleeding! Not nice at ALL! Anyways, I finally have some cream and am using it, so hopefully no more bleeding knuckles! :)
T'is late already and I need to shower. I'm upset with BodyRock because they made a promise to give us 12 days straight.... and a promise is damn important. Don't make a promise if you can't keep it. I understand they're busy people and have stuff going on in their lives but... don't make the promise if you can't fulfil it? :-/

I must admit, I panicked this morning when I checked Bodyrock.tv and there was still no update for 13th December! I almost lost faith! But alas, phew, it was posted by later today.
I just realised I do BodyRock workouts the day after they're posted, as they're usually posted when I'm well tucked in bed... so does this mean the challenge will run onto Christmas day for me? Suppose I don't mind... Be quite cool to do some Bodyrocking on Christmas morning before I go to see my family.
Today's workout was another different layout, and very short, but not to be underestimated because of the shortness!
Feeling good after doing all parts. They were really exhausting. I had to do all three parts though - because I had Chinese food and champagne for lunch today - for works Christmas meal. I was as good as I could have been with the food available, and didn't overeat/stuff myself OR eat the bits nobody wants/leftovers. I am awful for eating the last parts. Call me "the bin" ! Today I resisted. Yay!
Now there are LOADS of biscuits, shortbread and choccies in work... so I will have to keep my strength and resistance up. I can do this, because I WANT to.
Looking forward to tomorrow's workout! Plus Day 2 of Week 2 C25K.

BodyRockers in the house! (toniiiiight - Did you sing it too? no? :D)
So it looks like I'll have a nice little handy challenge just in time to keep me in check for Christmas! Bodyrock have promised to post from today, 12 workouts every day in the lead up to Christmas Eve. How fab is that?! And more than tempting, I HAVE to play along with this!

Good and controlled on my food again today. All the chocolates and shiz are starting to come into work for everyone to share now.... booo, don't like this! Resisting so far, remember - 'all or nothing' ! For the time being anyway.
I have a work meal at lunchtime tomorrow... in a Chinese restaurant. Bah. So i think i'm just gonna have to see how it goes, and remind myself to enjoy it yet not over-eat and bloat myself and be greedy. There's a challenge right there.
Home tonight, quick change, straight into BodyRock workout 1 of 12. Yahoo! Good stuff. Was tired and unsure as whether to start Week 2 of C25K, but figured i'd jump on the treadmill FIRST, THEN decide how i felt. Good trick right there, hah.
My mind is a strange place. It conveniently forgets how tricky i can be when it's not interested in being healthy and fit etc.
OH, and veggie burgers + sauerkraut = Yummo ! Mmmmmm!!
Now I have to shower and sleep!
