One Day

Thursday, July 14, 2011

Eh, quick blog. It's needed. I am putting it off and putting it off....

I still don't want to write about my recent bad times. I lost myself. I couldn't find my way for a while. I didn't know what i wanted. I didn't know why i felt like i did. I didn't know how to escape, or how to find my way out of the dark.

But i have to blog to start keeping up to date. I will write about my rollercoaster times - as it will be good for me, but just not yet.

I feel amazing today. Tonight. I am taking each day as it comes now. Each day is a new beginning. It's never too late to start again... AND we have to start somewhere. That's what i said to myself in the mirror today. "We have to start SOMEwhere.... again".

You might have been on this journey for a long time. You might have been Sparking for years. You may have lost 90lbs. 100lbs. 200lbs. It doesn't mean you're finished and you're through. You'll still get lost and you will still have battles to fight. It's accepting this part what i find hard... and baffling... and stupid.... and annoying.

Back to Spark is where i am happy and i belong.

When i grow up, i want to be a Bodyrocker.

emoticon one day is the way to cope with this journey, we have long term goals but can only reach them one day at a time. If we have a bad day / week / month whatever, just dust yourselself off and start again. The Spark and your friends old new and those you have not yet met will always be here!

Hope you don't hurt too much after the marine workout!

I know how you mean about losing yourself temporarily.. It becomes harder and harder to reappear and I'm glad you have! Sometimes we need these 'blah' weeks just to reaffirm that we really want this, it's nice to have a bit of headspace too where you're not obsessively tracking and focusing completely around weight loss, the important thing is you're back :D

Hope you're feeling better soon my dear! Glad to see you're loverrly face around these parts again ^_^.

Day Ten - P90 Sculpt 1-2

Thursday, June 16, 2011

It's Thursday. Just a little check in for me. I stopped with the daily blog because i didn't really have much to say... :-s

Going good. Been getting home from work and not feeling like doing anything but have managed to give myself a little telling off and put my all into it. Sculpting today and i do enjoy that. It's not mega mega hard, but i used heavier weights today and i could just about finish the reps... so that's about right isn't it?

I didn't weigh in on Sunday. I think i'll wait. Either until day 15... or day 30. Or day after finish. It might do me good to keep off the scales and focus on my body instead. I'm feeling leaner tho - but that normally happens when i know i'm eating right, heh. My DH did comment last night "You're looking like Popeye".... LOL - he exaggerates =P

Loving my Blackberry too. Wow. These are major coolies. Is there anything you CAN'T do with a Blackberry? hehe... i wish i was a runner after seeing all the cool running apps!!

Mowed all my grass after tonights workout. Mini-workout plus? Have to do the new dead man burpee challenge tomorrow... HAVE to!!!

Never too late to start with the running, you know... if a klutz like me can do it, you can!!

Incidentally, I thought the Dead Man Burpees were really great. How's everything else going for you? It's weird to not see you so much around these parts...

Well done you! Perfect weight to use if you're fatigued at the end of your reps.
Did you measure at the start of your challenge?

(Un)Official Day Eight + Wkend snap

Tuesday, June 14, 2011

Happy Tuesday.

Today's QuickFire was burpee's. Normally i would think - :-/ Hmm, burpee's are hard to do privately, so i wouldn't get many done. This morning i went into another office before anybody was in. I did 10 burpee's before going through to the toilet. When i came out i did another 5/6 with variations. I did some more later on still before anybody came in (all before 9am, LOL) and then in the day time i took a walk to one of our vehicles. I threw some burpee's downstairs and then did some half burpee's with inclined pushups! LOL. I had lots of fun trying to do burpee's when nobody was around.

Today's schedule was Level 1 of the Shred. Fun fun, and sweaty again. I was hoping to BodyRock but i got home late from work so tea-time (dinner) was pushed later. I have decided i'd really like to get at least 2 BodyRock workouts in for the week. I did one last week - so felt good about that, just need to push for more now!!

I forgot to mention (and share) about going to my Mums. How come going to Mum's (for a lot of people) always consists of lovely homemade-Mum food being set on the table infront of you? Hehe... Mum put together a lovely lunch as i was there, also my brother, and sister & niece. So we all tucket in and i managed to keep my eating limited and healthy!

Also, that day i'd BodyRocked in the morning, meaning i felt fantastic and uber-confident. Cue, vain-looking picture of ones self being proud of where she is going.

That t-shirt i'm wearing, i mentioned in a blog before Xmas. I'd bought it and couldn't quite wear it yet as it was tight around my belly and far too uncomfortable to wear in public. So i was mega-chuffed to be able to wear it! =D

Day Eight - Some Switcharoo-ing!

Monday, June 13, 2011

Happy Monday!
I had a slight mix up with my plan. As i said on Friday i'd done the wrong day before another. So now this is how it's looking... (the first part anywho's)

DAY ONE: Shred Level 1
DAY TWO: Shred Level 1
DAY FOUR: Shred Level 1
DAY FIVE: P90 Sweat 1-2 & Ab Ripper 1-2
DAY SIX: BodyRock
: --REST--DAY--:
DAY SEVEN: P90 Sculpt 1-2
DAY EIGHT: Shred Level 1
DAY NINE: Shred Level 2
DAY TEN: P90 Sculpt 1-2
DAY ELEVEN: Shred Level 2
DAY TWELVE: P90 Sculpt 1-2
DAY THIRTEEN: P90 Sweat 1-2 & Ab Ripper 1-2

I purposely didn't give the rest day a number, so i don't take a rest in the program, i wanted to count BodyRocking, because really it's more of a challenge than what i've been doing and i sweated a hell of a lot more in just the twelve minute workout i had on Day Six.

My eating has been fantastic, i didn't have takeaway Friday night so feel good about that. Saturday i had a little naughty kebab but apart from that i've ate really well. I had some jelly sweets last night.

Monday has thrown me back up that one step so here we go for seven days with no rest. I do hope i get the results i want because just these daily workouts by themselves aren't MEGA challenging like i expected. I guess it will get harder i'm only a week in, as i end up doing both level 1 and 2 of the Shred on the same day, so THAT is gonna be tough. The main thing i need to make extra effort with is my eating. It's only really bad at the weekend... but i WANT results so i have to be CLEAN.

Rightio, i treated myself to a new Blackberry (and my first ever) at the weekend so it's charged up now and waiting to be played with! I'm very nervous about this new technology... hope i can work it. LOL.

Thanks for your encouraging comment on my blog.

Your progress is truly inspiring. It's nice to see someone PLAN their days of rest from daily workout. It's usually "accidental" with me, and I sure take more than one day a week. emoticon Same goes for diets, I slip at least once a week. Thanks for setting a great example of self-discipline and matching results.

Well done on the eating. Just think of the challenge! I am feeling tempted right now and there are jellybeans and crisps in the cupboard and ice cream in the freezer, but I'm thinking that tomorrow the craving will be gone and I'll be glad I didn't succumb. I find it difficult because on a good eating day (like today), I think - 'ooh, I haven't had anything bad before, maybe I should'!
Hope you enjoy your blackberry!

Day Five - Tony Horton is a Hoot!

Friday, June 10, 2011

Hah. Awfully sorry for the every-day-blog going on here. I'm trying to be accountable.

Well my schedule was a repeat of P90 sculpt for tonight... BUT... Steph being Steph... did i check the schedule? Nahhh i know what's coming up next, don't i? Chyeah.... Wrong! I thought it was P90 Sweat & Ab Ripper. So that's what i did. I suppose it won't matter just switching the day up.

I did come home after a really good day, in a stinking mood because of a disagreement at work. Nothing serious - it was with my Dad. LOL. He can be so stubborn sometimes - but that's where i get mine from. DH was trying to switch my mood but i assured him i'd be fine after my workout. I worked out and then showered. Bounced down the stairs singing and DH was like "Oh so it worked?" .... *big grins* lol - yep, it sure does work!!

So many points of the cardio sweat i had to giggle. Tony Horton is actually quite sweet. The only funny part i remember now (because i have a worse memory than a goldfish) was during the cool-down he said "Keep moving, don't go sit down or lie down, and definitely don't go and grab a cheeseburger!" LOL - I was laughing, the words then came up on the bottom of the screen "DON'T GO GRAB A CHEESEBURGER" lmao.

I'm feeling good now that i'm starting to be me again. The real me. I think i might take progress pics on day 15. Or wait til day 30?.... Hmm. I'll have a think about that one.

More good news is that i didn't have "Friday night takeaway" tonight. We had corned beef hash. I had a large serving but it was nowhere near as bad as a fatty takeaway. =) I am having a malibu and lemonade.... it's Friday night. emoticon

I find Tony so annoying now, when i used to work out to his p90x videos, i'd feel like throwing the remote at the screen, and i would have had i not been busy holding some awkward pose haaaaaaaaaaah. Also as per Tonys instructions, stay away from those Krispy Kremes!

Glad you are feeling better, i too am recovering from a silly cold, which has put me way behind on my bodyrock workouts, but hopefully will be ready to commit to next weeks workouts full time!

Must admit the bottle of red wine is ope, waiting on Dh returning from a gym run with YD and her friends. She trains 2 1/2 hrs on a Friday night and we take it turns beteen three of us to do the 20 mile round trip to get them there and back.

Glad you had a good workout tonight, it really is a good way of sorting out those bad vibes. Have a good weekend.
