Slight Disappointment...

Sunday, January 09, 2011

Ack i shouldn't be disappointed - i lost a pound this week.

I just know that when i work as hard as i did last week, i do normally have a (much) bigger loss than that. Oh well, carry on the way i'm going and i'm sure nexts weeks loss will be a bigger number, this week is just a tease and a test for me to keep myself on the straight and narrow.

I need to smile and be positive now and not be an idiot and get down about it! Hey hey i still lost some weight, i didn't gain and i didn't stay the same - so that's something to be happy about!!

It didn't help that my Dad commented that i should stop losing weight now. How annoying is that? It was him who helped me to start taking my weight seriously but come on... leave me be!!

I was unsure as to whether to take tonight as a rest night, but nah, i must push on!! From experience, if i start my week of with a workout, on the Sunday, then i'm so much more likely to workout the Monday too, even Tuesday, maybe even Wednesday!

So let's go week two of the New Year, let's keep going with a positive attitude and lots of motivation. Speaking of motivation, i'm loving the bill board advertisements for Powerade at the moment... A British female athlete fronts them (gold medalist too! Jessica Ennis) and she is just so motivating... her body is amazing and looks so tight and toned on the boards. It really helps to pass it and look forward to a workout later on...

And this one is my favourite, her arms and i just love how you can see her abdominals... the way her trunk is just packed with pure muscle... wow!!

Let's anticipate the new week with positivity emoticon

Hey, it can take a few days for effort to show on the scales. Keep it up and next week will be better and if it is not it is just your body saying it wants to let the weight go slowly - much better in the long run for keeping it off! emoticon

Hey steph I think that you did awesome, You may have lost 1 lbs but, next week ya gonna loose more, bcuz you wont give up. Woo just love your fight steph. I know what you mean My father and about hmmm 5 0thers have mentioned that too( like hey dont lose ne more, your fine where you r at.
I think that they dont understand that we have dreams and goals that we set and want to accomplish. Do we look great now,YES, ( thats probably what throws them off)BUT we have our goals...like mines ist to acheive a 6 pack(personal trainers body) and I dont see why I cant get one as long as I continue to work hard. I feel that these are our bodies, and as long as we continue to be healthy and are not doing ne unorthodox things to lose weight or gain muscles that we r fine. Sorry I wrote so much its just that, you are someone that is experiencing the same thing, and it feels great to talk to somebody about it. Yup so it doesnt help but, it feels good to follow our own paths and do what makes us happy and, what makes us happy is being the best us that we can be. Also I think I totally love the powerade add too. Her bod is awesome, and so inspiring.

That Tingly Trembly Feeling

Thursday, January 06, 2011

Don't you just love that post-workout feeling? When every part of you is tingling and your muscles feel so ALIVE you can feel them breathing? And your skin is all sensitive, your head is light and high with air and an amazing feeling ... keeping your chin up and your lips smiling. =)

I just wish we could bottle this feeling and then open it up whenever we need that motivational push!... love it when the push isn't needed!!

Dinner was GORGEOUS tonight. Another Spark Meal Planner meal... pork tenderloin topped with cheese (yums) and garlic-spiked broccoli and mushrooms with rosemary - oh my Lordy it was so so good and tasty - MEGA YUMS!!! I would so recommend the brocolli/mushrooms!

I feel so great all round right now, i feel so clean, exercise, especially food - it's all so clean and full of goodness. I just know i am in for a loss on Sunday's weigh in!

Full Up & Rest!

Wednesday, January 05, 2011

I am very full from dinner. I had another Spark Meal - lime prawns with pepper, tomato and sour cream with cheese on a wholewheat wrap. I didn't think the prawns would go too well with the cheese but it was yummy and i'm verrrry full! Also because i had a pint of water before and during my meal so... i like to drink some haha.

I am really pumped today BUT i have worked out for the past 4 days running... and i could have tonight, i thought of taking advantage of my feeling buuut.... i have taken a rest day, i worked my abs hella hard last night so i think they will be grateful for it.... and save my energy to work extra hard tomorrow night.

Did my "Ultimate workout, Ultimate results" by Nell McAndrew last night, and it really is such a great go-to workout dvd that you can just flip on and just go for it. Take it easy or push to the limit, and the best thing is progress. Starting the dvd i could hardly keep up, having to stop, pause, stop and watch, or just walk instead of run lol, but it's so great after going at it and going at it to be able to keep up, keep in breath and in time and keep up with everybody and Nell. She's such an inspiring woman, ok she's a model but she's damn serious about her fitness, and very admirable.

She is another very strong woman!

So here's to strong women! And a mega hard work out tomorrow night!

Hmm have to say I would be skeptical about prawns and cheese as well... but then, cheese improved everything else! So why not prawns!

I'm getting some real enjoyment about my eating and exercising right now. Feeling good about it.

I had two little chocolates in work today when offered, but stayed in control and stuck to two, then tracked them and totally stayed in my nutritional goals, woo!

Trying out some new recipes by using the Spark meal planner. Tonight i had steamed carrots and asparagus, with some soured cream & a teaspoon of mustard, on a bed of brown nutty rice! Nice and different for me and it felt like such a clean meal. I knew i shouldn't have put the full teaspoon of mustard into the cream though - it gets very spicy/bitter for me so i ended up sticking to the dry bits haha!

Planned a 30 minute workout and pushed for 40 mins, so that's always a good thing! Had a little ab blast afterwards so feeling good about that.

My first day back at work 6am - 5pm today, so i'm starting to get tired now, i'll bet it's not so easy to get up in the morning!

I'm challenging myself this week (Thanks to FITJEANS =D) to do 25 situps/crunches before i get into bed, so i'm getting ready to do those shortly. Better than nothing and it'll be nice to have a little challenge to keep me on my game!!

I checked out some inspiring women to me and thought i'd post some pics.... My new workout dvd has this great Aussie presenting it and i think she's great - Deanne Berry...

I love how she's packing some muscle, and her tummy as she's working out stays so still lol... she has great abs!

Talking of great abs, a lady i love and admire, Pink...

Another lady i admire, who is British, is Jenny Falconer....

She is always so fit and in charge of herself...

She does have a very small frame but she is so well toned and does have some muscles. She's always running marathons and raising money for charities. =)

I stumbled across a very strong lady indeed, Ava Cowen. She has abs to die for...

Wowsers much? Really crazy coincidence too - the picture used at one of my favourite Spark Teams "QUICKFIRE" - i love the pic of the ladies abs - and that lady happens to be Ava Cowen!!

Ciao for now, let's keep on ENJOYING ourselves!

Steph you are awesome, you always keep me motivated. I am going to join you in trying spark recipes this week. Our diet part is a big part of staying healthy. Heck 80% of it and the other 20% is exercise. So I am heading to sparkrecipes now to see what i can do to spice it up a little bit like you steph. Thinks for joining me in challenging ourselves. Ive been benefiting from it already, im feeling more energetic, toning up and just feel great all around. Woo hoo, lets do this, make life happen on purpose. emoticon emoticon emoticon

I think I would need surgery to get those abs, but I will glad when I work through this and be good for it.

YOU ARE DOING IT GIRL. I will do that challenge tomorrow - I did my exercise, got in the sauna and shower and now in bed, just finishing out here. GOOD JOB!

Oh yes, 2011 is off to a good start, now i need to sit down with my pen and paper and plan my meals out, like i said, back to basics!! I do need to get on a proper exercise plan and plan it out properly, i shall do that too with my food plan.

Here's to reaching for success!
