This year has been my favorite in many many years! I am skinnier than ever before, I had plenty of places to go celebrate, and my costume is pretty amazing! I feel beautiful and classy in it...and it's just really fun to wear!
This is my full outfit:
I'm wearing an indian saree, bangles, a bindi (the jewel between the eyes), a ring, earrings, and some temporary tattoos meant to look like henna!!!
Here's my henna:
Here's my jewelry and makeup:
AND...as a bonus, here's my roommate and her fiancÚ in their costumes! They are the couple from Grease! They are so cute together!!!
Like I said...Best. Halloween. Ever!

I'm ready to party! I just have to get through 2 exams today before I can take a breather and prepare for our annual Halloween Party! Which is both exciting...and irritating.
You see...my roommate, Bess, has had an annual Halloween party for the last 3 years. Since Hillary and I moved in with her over a year ago, it became OUR annual Halloween party. Last year was lots of fun, except Bess had invited a casual party friend...who ended up bringing like 7 people we didn't know. And some of those people we didn't know, tried to invite their other friends. Yeah. I wasn't too happy about that one. Especially when come morning, I found out that someone had walked off with my full bottle of Jack Daniels.
So this year, we decided to make it only close friends. It's this Saturday. What's unfortunate...is that now our roommate Bess isn't coming....to HER party. We planned the party based on when she could come, but apparently people from grad school are going to a comedy club and she "feels like she needs to be there". Which is complete and total bull. She's not coming because she's dating this guy who I'm sure doesn't want to come for some reason or another. Any way he can get out of spending any time with her friends. It really ticks Hillary and I off. But whatever...
Sooooo now...I guess it's Hillary and I's party! And we are going to have a GREAT time, Bess be damned! lol
I'm really excited about my costume this year! I bought an Indian sari, like this one below, only green and blue (They sold out of mine so I can't show the exact image of mine).
And I have a bindi to wear (the gem between the eyes) and some bangles, earrings, a huge gold ring, and even some temporary henna tattoos to put on my hands! I also painted my nails a glittery gold color! So fun!
This is probably the best costume I've ever come up with and I'm soooo excited about it!
My roommate Hillary and her fiancÚ are going as the couple from Greece. Their outfits are from the end of the movie when Sandy has the curly hair, tight black pants, and red shoes! He'll be slicking back his hair, wearing a tight black shirt, and a leather jacket! So cool!
We aren't going to let the roommate drama get us down! Saturday night can't get here soon enough!!!

I got really shocking news today. My roommate is selling her dog!!!
Here's some back story...My roommate (lets call her B) has been my friend since middle school (we are 22 now). She is extremely smart, but definitely irresponsible and forgetful. She got Juno, a carrion terrier, about 3-4 years ago. When she got her, my other friends and I weren't exactly thrilled because we know she likes to go-go-go and isn't the type to be able to handle caring for another living thing. But she surprised us and has done fairly well (for her anyways). Juno is healthy and happy, if not always clean.
Our other roommate (I'll call her H), and I moved in with B last year in August. B took decent care of Juno most of that time, but that's because she was home a lot. Her boyfriend practically lived here. Well, they have since broken up, and she now has a new boyfriend. This new guy is NEVER at our place. B always goes to his place, sometimes not coming home at all in a 24 hour period to let her dog out or feed her. B has basically taken advantage of the fact that H and I are such dog lovers and won't let Juno starve.
I just recently told B she had to be sure to make it home at least twice a day to take care of her dog and she needed to take Juno to the groomers (her hair was greasy and so out of control that we couldn't see Juno's eyes).
B did all that. Except today, a week after that conversation, B walks in and tells me that she has SOLD her dog. Sold her! To some guy half way across the country! I'm in shock! I can't believe she can up and sell Juno! This past year I have spent more time with Juno than B has, so I have come to love her like my own dog...and I could never imagine simply getting rid of an animal I love! It makes me so sad! When I told H, I'm pretty sure she cried, and she was definitely angry too. We both feel that people our age shouldn't get pets, and if they do, then they have to make time for those animals. Which B simply hasn't done recently. And she is planning on moving into a house alone next year and since she is in Graduate school, so knows she won't be home very often, even less than she is now.
Apparently she posted something online not thinking someone would buy her so fast, but they did. Some guy in New Mexico who has a carrion terrier and is looking for another to be his dog's companion (since his other dog died last year) called B immediately. B is shipping Juno off by next Tuesday!!! I can hardly believe it. But I currently have mixed feelings. I know Juno deserves a better owner than B. I know she deserves someone who will devote more time and energy to her. And it seems like this guy might do that. But on the the other hand, I'm mad and sad that B couldn't make the effort to keep up with her responsibilities. I'm sad that I won't ever see Juno again. I won't see her cute little face again. I won't sit on the couch and have her cuddle up next to me anymore. I'm even going to miss her obnoxious high pitched bark!
So yeah...goodbyes are hard...

I'm beyond thrilled right now! Two of my really good friends finally got engaged yesterday!!! I've known him for like 10 years, and her for 8 years. She's my roommate and I love them both to death! They've been dating since high school, for about 6 years and are the absolute cutest couple I know! Their love gives me hope for the future!
I was the only person he confided in about the proposal! A month ago he came to me and showed me the ring and it's been killing me knowing it was about to happen, but not being able to tell a soul! They are away in Pittsburgh (we live in Ohio) right now so I don't know how he asked until they get back. I'm just so happy for them! They are about as perfect for each other as two people can get and they deserve their happiness!

It's a beautiful Sunday afternoon. The sun is shining, the temperatures are comfortable, and there is a slight breeze. All I want to do is be outside and enjoy it! So what am I doing? Sitting inside trying to get motivated to study for my intermediate accounting exam tomorrow! Notice I said "trying". I really just don't like to study, even though I know how important it is for me to do so! Well...here goes nothing...I'm going to try and get back to the grind now! Wish me luck!
