So this weekend I had a lovely time in the Muskoka's on a fully paid work trip.
Great you say? Yes and No.
I was relaxing and fun but it was apparent at the first serves meal that this was going to be an impossible mission for me. I went with a full plan in my head of what my calorie planning would be but alas, it was not a buffet where there was veggies and salads and fruits as usual.
Apparently these people could care less about healthy options, served main courses of stuffed chicken with cheese and wrapped in bacon with buttermilk potatoes and sauce laden veggies. I could have asked for changes and such but my boss is kinda weird in away that this would make a big deal so I sucked it up and just gave in finally after I was starving after a 6 hour drive.
Then came the beer....lol. Once I got into a few, then it was snacking city on all the bad foods I could get, Mini sliders and individual poutine...the list gets really obscene....lol.
Anyway I was not down in week nine and my stomach killed me for misbehaving. I am not down on myself, or discouraged in anyway. Sometime things are going to not work the way you like and you just take it one day at a time and control what you can. Today I am on plan and starting my October off on the right foot and I am going to make it a great one. Let's go sparkles we can do it!!
Here is to ROCKTOBER! Let's kick some fat where it hurts!
