Excited to start the new challenge...

Hello everyone.. I hope you all had a nice day. Today was my rest day, so I prepared myself for the big challenge which will start tomorrow. I took out my exercise mat, I looked for two bottles(which will act as dumbbells). I'm so excited to start and see a new me. I just keep talking about it; I guess people around me must be bored emoticon ..
Anyway, my starting weight for this challenge is 74kgs. I hope to lose atleast 4kgs with this challenge. I know this will be very difficult; but I also know that if I fail this time, it will be very difficult for me to start again. So, I have to give everything I have during these 30 days. No excuses, no more guiltiness for what has happened so far (for what I have done to my body and what I have eaten in the past). I'm starting afresh tomorrow.
I'll keep you posted of what's happening and how I'm doing in the challenge. I'll weigh myself after each 10 days.

Hello everyone.. I hope your fitness journey's going on great. It's my day 5 and I'm doing fine. So I'm starting a new challenge on Monday 15th of October 2012. It's the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. It's definitely a new challenge for me as I've never done anything like this before.
What you need:
-an exercise mat
-dumbells(I don't have any, so i'll be using 2 bottles instead)
-25 minutes per day for 30 days
-commitment

I'll be starting the challenge on Monday 15th October 2012, and it'll end on Tuesday 13th November 2012. I want to lose at least 5kgs before new year, and I hope this helps. I know it'll be difficult, and I'll get very tired and sore etc, however, at the end of the challenge, I'm sure I'll get a more fit and toned body.
So what is the shred 30 all about??
It consists of 3 levels: level 1-10 days
level 2-10 days
level 3-10 days
It has a variety of exercises, and it has tips for beginners(like me) and more fitter ones.
The amazing thing about it is that it's only for 25 minutes per day. So it's very easy to add it in your everyday life.
I'll post my measurements and weight on Sunday 14th of October, so that I can compare the end results after 30 days.
This is going to be tough, but I'm ready to take the challenge. ARE YOU??? Please join me in losing 2-5kgs within a month, with lots of hardwork;and at the end, we'll be winners. emoticon

Restarting my weight loss journey....

Hello everyone.. I'm VIN2309 and this is my first blog entry ever. Ok, so it's not the first time that I'm trying to lose weight. I've tried a lot to change my habits, but in vain. I always knew that I was overweight, but today, while filling in the information to be a member of sparkpeople, I realised that I'm OBESE emoticon .
I'm 23 years old. My goal is to be in a healthy BMI, which is between 43.3-58.5 kg in my case. I'm currently 74kg, which means that I have to lose a minimum of 15.5 kg. This will be tough. It's not an easy journey. I've already gone through it and I know there'll be many ups and downs. However, I'm determined to lose those 15kg.
I've never been thin or lean in my life. I've always been overweight. I want to lose those excess kg because I want to live a longer and healthier life, I don't want to die at a young age, I don't want health issues. I want to be able to climb the stairs without feeling tired. I want to be able to know what it is like being thin. More importantly,15 kg lighter, I want to see a CONFIDENT lady; someone I've never ever met in my life before. The list's too long. To cut it short, I want to be someone who's beautiful inside and outside.
I've decided to start writing blogs so that I'm accountable to everyone reading it. It'll be difficult to step back once I've posted it. And hopefully, I'll be getting a lot of support from those trying to lose weight like me.
Tomorrow is the first day of my weight loss journey. I've decided to exercise 5-6 times a week, for at least 1 hour. Moreover, I'll be having only 3 meals, with 2 healthy snacks, per day. This is my goal for 1 month, which'll start from tomorrow 7th October 2012-7th November 2012. Anyone who wants to join me is most welcome. I'll be cutting the goal into mini goals as I go on.

    Well done on starting! Although Iím a relative newcomer to SP, Iíve already found the community supportive and encouraging. There is so much information on here, including articles on nutrition, motivation, wellness and activities, recipes, blogs, teams and SparkPages. There is always something new to help keep you on track, and Iíve hardly scratched the surface! Good luck!

    Congratulations on taking steps towards a new healthier you !! You will find lots of support and motivation on the SP website. Your goals sound lofty but you sound like you are going to break them into smaller ones, which will probably be more helpful to you !!
