Fell off the wagon and tumbled down the cliff. It took a lot of time, a lot of inner torment searching but I've made it back up and am ready to continue on with my journey to getting better! I know I can do this!

I over slept this morning, I wasn't feeling much of doing anything at all. Didn't take the dog out, but I did clean the kitchen and start the laundry. I guess I'm starting to slip a bit. So soon ... just 10 days and I'm already slipping? Really?
I'm not sure what to do, I just know I feel like my motivation is slipping. Like i'm falling... I guess its the fact that I'm alone? doing this alone? I don't know... I guess I'm getting lost.

    You are not alone. Just get up and get moving. We all have days we just don't want to. We all have days we just "don't" . As long as you don't give in, it was just a bump not failure. You can get through this.

    Just tell yourself you will move for 5 minutes today, that's all. Sometimes you need to take a rest day if your body needs it. You can still eat well. You're not alone when you have Spark People to do this with you. Today is a new day. What are you going to do for your health?

    What you do is you start again tomorrow.

I've been having an off MONTH, but I'm still making progress...slowly. During the two years that I have been working on weight loss, I've certainly had days when I did not feel motivated.

If you are worried about always being perfect, you will never get anywhere. The key is to just keep going.

Itís been a pretty busy day, from about eight in the morning Iíve been zooming around this house getting it spotless since my sister is a pain when it comes to having the house clean. With taking care of dad I havenít had time to fully clean, especially the cat fur that got on the couches and drapes. So from top to bottom I cleaned the whole house. Then dadís appointment was at 2pm so I took him, got back my sister was in the house by then and threeeew a fit like she was in high school again just because one of the cats was out and about. For some reason she hates cats, sheís not allergic not anything she just hates them. Anyway, I told her to cool it, that it was mine and dadís house that she has no business getting in my face about My pets.

After a full on argument, after she went home I did a round on dad with his vital checking before taking my pup Nanook outside for a mile walk to get rid of frustrations. Which for me a huge plus since Iím an emotional eater I wouldíve dove into my chocolate and other sweets but didnít. So after the walk I gave dad a snack and started on dinner!

2 cups of baby spinach and spring mix lettuce. half a cup of brown rice. a cup of steamed veggies, 4 oz of ground turkey with garlic, onion, bell pepper and a cucumber. It was delicious and filled me up.

Throughout the day Iíve had 12 oz of 2% milk and had all 8 glasses of water.

Iím feeling energized and awesome!! emoticon

Low on Calories, is that Bad?

This morning I had a cup of cabbage and veggie soup for breakfast. I had that with water. For lunch I had a tuna sandwich with sliced cucumbers on the side and McIntosh Apple for lunch with water. For dinner I had baked chicken breast with garlic, onion, and salsa, 2 corn tortillas and 4 oz of Canada dry ginger ale. For a snack I had 1 serving size of goldfish colors which is 55 small goldfish and an 8 oz glass of pomegranate juice. Iím not hungry anymore, Iím just sipping water to get my full 8 glasses in.

All of that comes out to 1297. My Spark calorie allowance is 2730-3080. What I got today is waaaay off from that. Is that good? Should I eat some more? Iím not really sure what to doÖ

    I don't eat if I'm not hungry. I look at it this way, a day here and there under is fine as long as I'm not under 1200 calories.

    Okay I got 2737 for calories needed to maintain my weight. So pretty much I gotta eat more.

    It can cause you to hold on to weight if you stay too low for long. Go to this link:
After you get your BMR, then go to the Harris Benedict Calculator to figure in the exercise you do. You need to start by using the exercise you are doing now, not what you are planning to do in the future. See how you do. If you get stuck try upping your calories by 100 per day each week if you think it's too low. You'll know because you will stop losing. This should give a starting point at least. After that you have to watch your results and tweak calories as needed.
You always need to get a minimum of 1200 calories per day.

Day One!

Spent my day doing very well! I got a lot of walking in today, took the dog out for a walk around the block equals a full mile. that took about 30 minutes but it felt good! Then I got home and cleaned the house from top to bottom. all that I have left is to wash clothes tomorrow and then I can get back to my quilt making! =D

Update: Just finished a session of Qi Gong, I feel so relaxed and at ease! emoticon

    emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon your off to a good start here - try and not look at the 'big picture' choose small achievable goals for each day. Encourage you to track your food, exercise and water, after a few weeks you will get an idea of what you need to tweak - when I first started I read other peoples Blogs and continue to do so as I find them to keep me motivated. My goal is to lose 1# per week some weeks it's more some have been less or -0- but after 7 months I have met my December 31st goal.
